Euro TV time.

In USA 1994, matches were played at noon. It was even hotter, but not as humid.

I don't think that's a valid point here tbh. Remember when they used to have 3 games a day in the group stage? Instead of having this game take place now they could've moved it up to the time slot of the 2nd game and the 2nd game moving onto the time slot for the 3rd game from group stages.

3rd game was at 12am in Germany. Hardly the best time.

They want 5pm and 9pm games in Europe. The late games were at 11pm

I don't care about the heat but the WC being in the americas why are the first games at freaking noon? This has me bothered. I get it at group stages but these round of 16 games are way too early.

Europeans can't stay up late for TV? Jeez.

I 100% agree with you.
But turns out the 3rd slot is already too late for Europe.
That's why they changed the time-slot for ENGxITA match and a couple of others.

I remember LA and Dallas being hot but then again, it was summer.

Where was Brazil x USA in round of 16 played? It was way over 30ºc that day.

Re: weather

Humidity is a problem because humans fully saturate the air they breathe in with water before breathing it out, cooling us down. With high levels of vaporised water un the air, that doesn't work. Regular sweating doesn't help as much, either, since it doesn't evaporate as quickly. So you sweat more and more easily after you've adapted to the weather with less electrolytes in the sweat, but that still kind of sucks when you run around a lot and can't just pause to drink.

Because Europe is more important than the rest of the world. Didn't you get the memo?
