PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | June 2014

Oh come on already. All I want is a release date for the R&C Collection, or at the very least, a substantial word on whether or not it will see a physical release in North America. Because if it's not, I could save a lot of time by just importing the collection from the UK.

Third in the series... must be a pattern!

You know, I think your right :D.

You can pair the games like this:
Ratchet and Clank 1 = Quest for Booty (both have large focus on platforming over shooting)
Ratchet and Clank Going Commando = Tools of Destruction (both have solid mechanics and things that are improved upon in the sequels, but also have gimmicks/mechanics that aren't perfect)
Ratchet and Clank Up Your Arsenal = Crack in Time (both are perfections of the mechanics their prior installments utilized).

Bothered everyone on Twitter and getting nothing about R&C in NA... Jeez.
Hoping they pull a Soul Sacrifice Delta style stealth release on us on Tuesday at this point. So weird, it's not like they don't have any idea what's happening with it.

Stealth Inc. (Vita) is probably the best 13 dollars (AUD) I've spent on a game. Immediately bought the DLC upon completion.

I'm having a hell of a lot of fun going through and S-ranking everything. Getting into that muscle-memory state of Zen is super satisfying.

What games would you say are similar in terms of having that addictive 'must reach actually attainable perfection' draw, Gaf?

Cheers.

They actually included SSD in the Drop though.

Hotline Miami. Demands perfection.

Since non of the DLC are important, I'll get the EU retail ver. of Child of Light, hopefully it gets released here.
My 64 GB is nearly full T.T

I am also salty as all heck that I didn't manage to get the Crash and Spyro games on my Vita during the recent glitch.

Speaking of 1001 spikes, it would be nice if they bought it over to PAL some time soon....

There is a GAFfer who is with Nicalis. tyronerodriguez, I think? I remember since I've read a thread about the worst indie publishers by duckroll before and that particular gaffer is answering all questions for Nicalis.
Bug him for SCEE's / SCEJA's sake.

I think the Ratchet Collection in US is going to be like the Sly Collection; come out early in EU and about two-three weeks latter in US.

I guess they want to pad out the Vita releases to ensure better sales for some games (this week Child of Light will be the 'big' Vita game, next week I guess One Piece Red will be that, some other game will be for the week after, then the month will close off with Ratchet Collection or something...). Not a bad move, but an annoying one for people looking forward to playing the Ratchet games again :(.

Especially since the Ratchet Collection looks to be a really solid port too...

Hahahaha this is Nicalis we're talking about here. I fear for Binding of Isaac :\

If this happens with Isaac I'll be mighty pissed. I have slightly more faith in that seeing as Edmund is overlooking Nicalis while they do it. Hoping that will make a difference come release time.

I'm probably getting Child of Light downloaded and probably buying the PS4 collector edition for the poster and artbook. I wish there was a collector edition for Vita as the EU PS3/PS4 version. The asia version is the DLC and the artbook only.

Is the European version different to the Asian version? Shown is the Asian "Deluxe" edition. Picture taken from a fb page of a retailer here.

What do you guys keep your memory cards in? I've got one of those Hori semi hard cases for my Vita. Its got a little thing inside for holding three games, but nothing for memory cards. So far I've just been throwing them in there and hoping for the best. It's inevitable that I'm going to lose one this way one day.

I'm excited for it. Just debating whether to buy the Asian retail or buy it digitally @ the US PSN store. Can't find the link but the Asian bonuses are actually very enticing to me now.
If you're going to get it for the bonuses don't put any stock in the artbook. It's very ho-hum in comparison to actual video game art books (thin, staple binding, about A5 size landscape, has nice paper stock though). My EU deluxe edition was worth it for the Amano poster alone. Just make sure you aren't paying an arm and a leg for something you could probably find a better deal on down the line separately.

Edit: This is of course if the bonuses are the same. However the Asian poster is definitely different being double-sided and using CoL art instead of the Amano artwork so slight chance the artbook might be different (doubt it).

I have to import a 64GB memory card ASAP, I've been deleting games I haven't finished just to make room for games I won't finish for quite some time.

Traveling to Hong Kong next week (7 July) - want to get the physical copy of Child of Light for Vita. When is it out over there? It's a cart not a download code?

So like, I am about a month away from my PS+ expiration date, and I am now still contemplating whether I want to continue with it or not, hmmmmmmmmm.

TxK. It's brutal in a transcendental way.

a 64GB won't change that

Sony is quick enough to bundle some fix to the OS when there's an exploit. Last time it was the removal of the 100 app limit which coincided with the TN CFW release. Sony must know the laundry list of Vita OS annoyances, but chooses to not put any resources on it to get them fixed.

I've put a rubber band around my Vita analouge sticks, so they're pulled both outwards to the sides. This fixes the auto-dim problem when I'm using DS4 for Vita Remote Play. But there's still the issue of it being on the wrong account.

- I want to remote play using DS4 with my main account, because this is the account I play online with, and where all my game saves are. It seems like the only way to remote play using the DS4 under my main account would be to set-up the Vita with a different account, so that when I do the controller account switch, I am switching it over to my main account.

- However I also want my Vita to use my main UK account, because this is the account with all the PS+ Vita games stock piled. If I factory reset my vita and memory card to use a different account, then I wouldn't be able to play the PS+ Vita games on the Vita because they're tied to my main.

- Seems like my best bet at this moment in time (since there doesn't seem to be a mass market L2/R2 shell, or a patch coming from Sony to allow multiple accounts), is to buy a secondary Vita and switch between the two Vitas depending on if I want to play Vita games under my main account, or play Remote Play on my main account using a DS4. Goddam Sony, so backwards.

Until the latest patch the PS Store was a mess. Since installing it 'Demos' and 'Free To Play' have both popped-into-existance. I have a LOT more games/demos to try out now. Before it was literally the PS+ PS4 games and whatever I bought on disc, and a lonely LEGO Marvel Super Heroes demo
