PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | June 2014

Is the 12GB PS3 Super Slim supposed to be slow? I mean it seems during the installing processes, it seems to hang at 100% or when it says "Please Wait" like Xillia's case in the former.

Not to mention Xillia hanged at a white screen after the Namco logo upon first boot up of the game.

Now when I say hang, I mean they do move on from these, it just takes like a moment or so.

Is this normal?

Installing and deleting games on the PS3 are just really slow in general. Don't worry about it.

Welp. Remember Picotto Knights, that cool looking Castle Crashers-esque F2P brawler for Vita from Gungho and Game Arts? It was shut down in October of last year, and never saw an international release despite promises to do so. Well, it has returned! As an iOS/Android game called Picotto Kingdom.

So spiderman Vita despite its flaws is not nearly as bad as a lot of people said to me .
Its a really fun game , and runs at a very decent speed(not like Jak n Daxter Collection) being really fluid inside buildings and somewhat choppy when freeroaming.

the magic of trying games by yourself.

I picked up dragons crown from that digital sale awhile ago. Finally got around to playing some more. I was put off at first. Something just wasn't clicking. I played today and started having fun. I still think the controls are a bit werid though. I wish it felt more like castle crashers when it comes to moving around and attacking.

I'm playing the amazon lady. I felt like a huge prick when burying bones. You can bring people back from the dead in this game, but no I'm just gonna bury you because your low level lol.

I only buy digital when there is no retail print for the game. I don't buy that many digital games and I just got PS+.

That's what I do as well. The memory cards are just to expensive. I put in a 16 gb and refuse to pay anymore. I do get digital when they have really good sales sometimes though. Like with dragons crown I mentioned a few posts back.

T_T those screens make the game look horrible.

sigh Castle Crashers and BattleBlock would be fantastic on Vita

I imported myself a 64GB and never looked back, it feels great to not have to look on the memory every time I buy something.

On a different topic, why is the EU store not capable of releasing Atelier Rorona when it was supposed to?
Have to wait till wednesday to get my new shiny Atelier game =/

I dont see the difference between Ratchet and Clank Collection and Sly Cooper Collection quality wise. But i can see a lot of people crying a lot for the latter. IDK why

Edit: Im talking and comparing both Vita versions.

I completely agree :)

Wait until your 64gb card fills up ;)

I hope Child of Light isn't that big, or else I'll have to delete multiple games for it.
Game looks like it shouldn't be more than a gb

Is Ratchet and Clank Collection on the Vita having a retail release? are all the games in the memory card or there is some PSN code with the 3rd game that comes with it?

Retail release in Europe (comes out this week), all three games are on the cartridge. Not sure what's happening with the game in America. No release date yet.

So I just realized something is off with my wishlist for Vita games this year.

Miku Project Diva f 2nd
Persona 4 Dancing All Night
IA/VT Colorful (might be my first import if it's not localized)
Freedom Wars

The only rhythm games I've ever owned are Cytus Lambda and Beats on PSP. Oh well. Maybe all physically since the reason I think I bought FFX HD Vita Digital was because FFX-2 was digital only.

Do we get Muramasa in the middle of the month or beginning?
The very beginning. They all release at the same time now?

Thanks for the info man! i hope there is a retail release in America becouse im getting the 3 games in a card and working very well(maybe not 60fps but they are smooth enough) and also 3 PS2 Games in 1 Vita Card. Yeah.

You should get dj max technika.

No release date and not showing up as pre order in any retailer means there is none. Will share same fate as SSD and Vita Pets.

So is P4G your next import? Localization release isnt set out for this year.

Gaffers!

My 32 card is chockers... What's the process of swapping memory cards? Is it easy?

I'm tossing up getting another 32 card and doing the old swap n go or getting a 64 and rendering the other useless.

You could always just sell the 32gb to a gaffer. Or maybe save it for a Vita TV if you buy one

Speaking of memory cards, shuffling some things around so I have room for all three Ratchet and Clank titles on Wednesday. The joys of having a 16GB.

(I refuse to buy a bigger card until Sony drops them.)

People keep saying that but they don't give any reason. And I'm not buying a expensive ass $50 $44 (must've gone down a bit) game without some kinda catch besides "being really good" I mostly want those other games just so I can listen to the music endlessly.

What? Goddammit. Is everyone else just not as important as Japan? Do we not buy equal if not more software when it's released simultaneously? Or is it that bull that Marvel likes to pull where they let hype build up in other countries before releasing in America?

Is the European version different to the Asian version? Shown is the Asian "Deluxe" edition. Picture taken from a fb page of a retailer here.

The pre-order gives you a poster too. I got my poster when I placed down money for the retail Vita version.

Suddenly got an urge to replay FF9, formatted the Vita, bought a new memory card, created a US account on it, bought a PSN code from Amazon.com and got the 60hz version form US PSN.
That was easy.

Fuck the 50hz bullshit on the EU PSN and fuck the Vita's account system.

The PS+ games might be changing into mostly the same for EU/US soon (is this confirmed?), but I just discovered that the US PS Store has a different couple of demos that the EU store doesn't have. Niiice.

Two issues, if you guys can help:

1) I've set up my account already, and it uses my name on the sign-in screen. I'd like to change that to my psn id instead, if that's possible. For whatever reason my sister's shows her psn id (child account) on the account switch screen, whereas my main, my usa secondary, and my brother's all show our names (adult accounts, USA account has 'USA' as the 'Last Name' to avoid confusion).

2) When trying to activate my PS4 as the primary PS4 for my USA secondary account, I receive a psn error code NP-32379-4.

Someone on Reddit suggests that playing the uncensored US version of TLOU:R under my EU account may cause it to be censored. Can anyone confirm if this would happen? It would defeat the entire purpose of buying it on the US account for uncensored goodness.

It looks like we'll finally get to see Granzella's first game. It's a Vita title and it's scheduled be released in the first half of this fiscal year (i.e. by September).

Stealth Inc. (Vita) is probably the best 13 dollars (AUD) I've spent on a game. Immediately bought the DLC upon completion.

I'm having a hell of a lot of fun going through and S-ranking everything. Getting into that muscle-memory state of Zen is super satisfying.

What games would you say are similar in terms of having that addictive 'must reach actually attainable perfection' draw, Gaf?

Cheers.

Velocity Ultra, Motorstorm RC, Olliolli and Hotline Miami are what are you looking for.

So when playing psone games on Vita do you guys go with normal or do you sacrifice aspect ratio and go with full screen?

I use custom and scale it (keeping the aspect ratio) until there is just a little bit of black on the right and left side.

I can't stretch the games... It just looks so awful.

Sometimes I play 1:1 mode if it's a pixel art game like Castlevania:SOTN or something
