I wasn't here when Link's SS tunic was revealed, so was everyone really complaining that it was "half-assed?" What do people expect, full Wario-style alt costumes for every character? Link's tunic is more unique than most of the palette swaps in the history of Smash.

Most people were expecting him to not have a hat.

That's what I'm expecting, at least with the Outset Island garb for Toon Link. I'm unsure about the conductor costume, but I would be down with with him having that as a possible alternative costume, as well.
 
I would love it if the entrance for Pink sweatshirt Little Mac is for him to take it off and it's just another pink sweatshirt and him looking confused.

His face is really scrunched up and his eyebrows/eyes look off.

I think the eyebrows give Link a fierce look, making his face more edgy and manly. We usually see Link with a lighter facial expression and features, that's why we're taken aback by Link's new face in Smash.

Yeah, Sonic has a new down-smash in this one. It's too bad they couldn't change one of his rolling moves. :c

I would assume so. I just want my Rocky Balboa Mac. Haha.
 
Question about Little Mac's alt. Sooo when he does his stage intro (when he throws off the jumpsuit) is he just gonna stand there or what?

On the topic of alternate costumes, what if Dark Pit ends up being a completely separate character with his own moveset, designed to utilize many of the other weapons from Uprising? I think it could be interesting.

Personally, I'm a fan of Nintendo releasing a pack of characters at a time. (Ex. 3 characters for $10-15)

Dude claims a Nintendo Rep. mentioned that Smash Run would feature Boss Characters appearing, including Kraid, and a "Kremling", although for the latter he's not sure if it's K. Rool, or one of the other big ones.

I'd like what they did Mario Golf. Actually tell us all the future DLC characters and give out a season/series pass for it all.
 
If anybody has the time/skills I'm, for whatever reason, having a really hard time getting rid of the white background on my avatar and could use some assistance (also, I'm surprised we don't have any kind of smash gaf badge yet)

I don't have any problem with 'manly' eyebrows, they're an essential part of Link.

It's just that SSB4 Link's eyebrows look like badly shaded plastic rather than hair. But the face probably won't be too noticeable during gameplay, and he looks okay in the 3DS version, so it's not that huge a problem.
 
Glad to see little mac with the hoodie on, i thought he looked much cooler with it on. This is good news for me cause i like using alts for everyone.

My friends didn't notice anything wrong, nor did anyone at the best buy event mention it while talking about him.

That's like buying salad at McDonalds. They need to get their shit to Sony and MS's level before I trust them enough to buy digital.

Welcome to SmashGAF, and I don't mind any DLC for Smash 4. It's awesome to getting more new characters (or cut characters) for Smash so it would feel even more than complete.

If we have to end up having DLC... then release it as along side an add on pack in a couple years. (ie Ultimate Smash 4: Turbo or whatever).

Packs are fine though. Better than single characters for sale.

I'm guessing we'll probably see 8 DLC characters throughout the game's lifespan.
