The US always makes soccer look beautiful. They represent the country well -- endless optimism, a fighting spirit, a never say die attitude, and a minimum of diving.

Julian Green should have started the game . Putting him in was like an adrenaline boost. America were alive all of a sudden! Tim Howard now holds the record for the most saves in the World Cup. America needs to learn how to pass though, God damn!

Honestly, they got hell of a lot farther than I originally figured they might. Although a good chunk of the team was playing like garbage, especially when it came to passing, I can't help but be proud of how they did.

I already loved Tim Howard, but now I want his children. Best keeper! I'll still root for Arsenal, but I may just get me a certain Everton jersey.

At least now I'll be able to give EVO most of my attention.
 
Well my first was USA, but since I am a majority German now I am going for Germany. If Germany gets eliminated then may the best team win.
 
We held on by the iron string that is Tim Howard until those last minutes. You could see the fire there but it didn't have enough time to burn. My heart is still pumping. Great job Belgium!

Wouldn't surprise me lol. Nah, just a drone will do it. I knew there was something to those drones spying on the training sessions of a few teams.
 
Well, Belgium did knock the US out... but I'm going to be rooting for them against Argentina.


Belgium and Chili were my dark horses coming into this World Cup..and it's unfortunate the Red Devils are the ones who had to play and knock out the U.S.

Howard was a god this match, but USA did play some inspired football after green's goal, if only the showed half that heart for the other 105 minutes of the game....
 
Well we made it further than I ever thought we would, and we went out fighting, so I can't be too sad. I'm very optimistic about the future now.

Not only that, but the extra time is based on the last part played, so of course a 15 minute part is never gonna have something like 3 minutes unless you get Netherlands playing and wasting time with their fake antics. lol
 
Belgium deserved to win that one and with better finishing would have ended it before extra time. The USA were pretty terrible until the last 15 minutes. I give them credit for pushing till the end, but they really had to do better in normal time to have any chance of progressing further.
