I'm really enjoying the Dan/Jeff QL combo, even though I kind of assumed it would be awesome. So happy he's an official duder now.

also Drew's "oh MY god." was fantastic.

"Go for his butt. GO FOR HIS BUTT!"

What is the odds on someone making a "Child of Light grew up to be Light" joke in the upcoming Quick Look?

I say high - especially if Brad is involved. Jeff will then groan.

Were....they joking around in that Sniper quick look? Did they not realize this was WWII?

That was a joke right? Please.

Drew's reaction was hysterical.

How's about this for a new series of content: Drew teaches Dan (and Jeff?) about WWII history through an assortment of WWII games. They could call it World War Drew.

You're welcome.

I just found this pic of Dan and Neogafs own Vince McMahon.

I'm watching the Light QL and I have an important question. Do bathroom stall doors generally open towards the toilet in the US? Seems very silly, since you need to make the stalls unnecessarily big so you can fit inside and still swing the door.

I was visiting Japan a few years back and the stalls in our hostel were godawful because of this (since they weren't very big to begin with).

Yes they do but it allows them to require less space in front of the stall and can be super small. It's a pain in the ass because you have to maneuver your way around sometimes to get the door to close.

The Sniper QL is pretty great.

Dan is a great choice. His Dan's Dad Plays Games He'll Hate series are fantastic.

Can't wait to check out the Quicklook. I know the Sniper games get middling reviews but they scratch an itch for me.

Sniper Elite III quick look was great, Dan seems to fit in perfectly. The backside testicles shot and multiplayer part were hilarious.

I'm really looking forward to seeing where the site goes from here.

No bathroom stall in history has been unnecessarily big.

I assume it's a safety and/or privacy issue.

If you're sitting on the toilet and the lock malfunctions or somebody is trying to get into the stall, it's better that the door swings inwards so you can easily stop it from opening, instead of somebody on the outside just being able to swing it open wide with no interference.

I met someone who didn't know Paris was occupied during WW2. He lives in Paris...

Not knowing stuff was happening in Africa is a bit more understandable I think. You barely hear about it in school and popular culture only ever talks about Normandy or the russian front. You kinda have to seek out that information.

Makes me like Dan more. I love it when they play in to the American stereotype. Makes you feel all superior for a brief time. It is like when an American sees a Brit with bad teeth of a French man running away.

I strongly disagree that one has to "seek out" information about the mere existence of a major front in WWII.

Especially from a video game point of view, I don't think Africa's situation during WW2 has ever been brought up in a game or mainstream movie for example. If everyone already knew everything it would be a weird world.

Only a best picture winner (though I don't see Jeff or Dan as people who would watch The English Patient :P )

Video game wise, I know there are some strategy / tank-sim stuff, but nothing mainstream pops to me off the top of my head, though I am not much for war shooters.

^I've never seen The English Patient either.

I guess those are the kinds of things Americans think of when building. Though it's much more difficult to kick a door in if it opens outside since you need to break the frame instead of just the lock :P

I need to visit the US at some point, I imagine it will be one mindblowing realization after another!

Bathroom stall doors open inwards in the UK too.

BF1942 had that hella sweet El Alamein map where you could drive the jeep up into the B52 and then drive it out onto the enemy base.

Also, Casablanca.

I think it's just the UK(?) being backwards.

Come to Germany if you like to see inward toilet door magic.
