PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | July 2014

Hey everybody, I just got my PS3 online a few days ago and I tried doing some multiplayer on Red Dead Redemption and The Last of Us, and while all the menus load fine, and I can get into a lobby, I can't find any other players at all. Zero. Any ideas?

Portability is definitely a factor, but the vast majority of my Vita tome is spent at my house, so I need to look at the visuals and performance as more of a deciding factor. If it was 60fps, I probably would have got the Vita version, but now I can get the PS4 version and still play it on Vita at 30fps with Remote Play, just like the native Vita version, only better looking.

If you want CoL to be portable, buy it on vita... If you'd rather tether yourself to an incredibly expensive ps vita accessory - so be it ;)

About portability in genereal I play only at home, playing anytime anywhere inside my house is what i love of playing with handhelds, lots of months are passed since the last time i played a PS3 game.
People shouldn't underestimate the comfort of playing with handhelds at home.
 
Sounds like Kingdom Hearts has as much of a chance at coming to Vita as Dragon Quest does.
Which is to say, it's not happening.

They would need a KH game for next year. So some games for PS4/X1 sounds likely.

Maybe a 1.5 HD Collection port.

People have strange ways of saying that the story begins innocently enough, using a liberal duration of time to set the scene and introduce a large cast of characters that impart important information about the world that you're in and sow the seeds for the larger narrative at play, before both the audience and the characters we play as are eventually swept up in something much larger than they ever anticipated.
 
5pb already given license of Eiyuu*Senki recently for an unknown publisher, so if NISA really try, I think they will get it.

I loved the game, was my second Platinum on the Vita. No story, nothing but missions. Really, it's a GREAT arcade shooter. On the standard layout missions, all enemy placements and patrol routes never change. You learn to memorize those, then you learn to combo actions through the whole level, getting you stupid high scores. It became an ultimate quick time attack game for me. Then the dynamic missions completely change everything around, making the same mission different every single time you play it. It's fantastic. If you can get a decent co op buddy, the game uses the built in voice chat, and it gets better. I'd love a Unit 14 (ololo), but alas, we shall never see that..

I guarantee you that Ubisoft Toronto aren't working on a Vita game. They're a major studio not something like Sofia or Shanghai.

Wasn't Vita supposed to get Rainbow Six (GAF insiders) and Ghost Recon (retail leaks) spinoffs? I guess those got axed.

Yeah there's no way in hell that Ubisoft are making another Vita exclusive game. Late ports (ie. Child of Light) are the best we can hope from them now.
 
Goddamit.

RE2 and RE3 PS3/PSVita/PSP/PSOne Classic are £7.99 on EU PS Store; and $5.99 on US PS Store.

UK Store is a damn ripoff!

Given that my PSVita is configured to use my UK account (for those PS+ games) there's no way to access the RE games if I was to buy them for the cheaper price from the US Store, right?

I'd reconfigure my PSVita to use my US accont, but then I don't think I could access my PS+ games from my UK account.
 
Forgot about my new "free" games. Gonna try Muramasa later.

DDU seemed kinda butt on PS4, I know I'm not the target audience exactly, but... Well, I dunno what I expected, I just wish he'd make a new Toejam and Earl. I'll try it on Vita anyway.

Muramasa is pretty damn good.
 
Strider is really smooth but the art direction and level design just seem so boring. A shame, because the engine itself is really solid.
 
Space Invaders Extreme was supposed to be on sale and it is nowhere can be found. This one has an explanation though (VHBL thing). The store is a bit of a mess, you can buy Shinobido's DLC but not the game itself.
 
Anyone else struggling with super slow download speeds from the US PSN today? Great time to buy and start downloading Wolfenstein :s
 
Anyone else feel that Doki Doki Universe is kinda slow on Vita? It runs fine on PS4, but when I play the Vita version, the loading into a new planet or opening the item menu feels like it takes much longer.
