Feel so bad for this kid.

And that was only at 4-0!

That kid is pretty much me in 1998.

I'd probably hate football today if we'd lost that match 7-1.

Why does everyone boo this Fred guy? Did he lose a major game or something?

I feel bad for him. It's not his fault he isn't very good.

The fans are just frustrated. Someone like Fred just shouldn't be the best option Brazil have for a striker.

Their replacement striker is Jo, who is just as bad if not worse.

It's crazy to think that Brazil's weakness, with a fully fit team, is their strikers. Something you just wouldn't think would be the case.

Those fans may boo Fred, but it was the defending that cost Brazil the game. Fernandinho and Luiz were terrible. Marcelo and Maicon were nonexistent.

Were there ones that were insulting or went over the board? Just using Hitler as personification for Germany isn't really all that bad imo. It's like complaining that Lincoln, or Uncle Sam is used for memes to represent the USA. As long as it's not too distasteful and doesn't touch some delicate subjects, personally - as a German - I don't see the problem.

That Hitler picture who was playing on a PS3 or something was pretty alright imo.

Now I'm sad.

Lol, Netherlands are double fucked. They cant sell their dives when the ref assumes they fall due to it being slippery

I can see you don't get tired of your own posts by reading the last 2 pages. Btw, did you know that teams that wan' to get the ball foward asap actually benefit from a wet pitch? Hope the Dutch team gives you a good lecture on that tomorrow.

But seriously, Pato is much better than all these strikers. Wtf happened to him? Also was Damiao not their lead striker for a while?

So, it took 64 years for Brazil to have another chance to be the world champion at home and they would probably have to wait another 64 years before they have a new opportunity.

Both occasions were traumatic. This is going to hurt for a long time.

I don't like posts like these because they are so frustrating to read at the time, as this always happens and the person disappears lol.

Why do some have to behave this way?

It's a conspiracy!.png

Conspiracy theorists will modify the conspiracy to work with any facts you throw at them, so don't waste your time.

People in Brazil think he's useless on the team. Plays like a street cone.

I see, but the booing had such animosity behind it that I thought he offended their country or something. Felt bad for the guy.

I'm not going to pretend I watch the Brasileirao but all I've heard is that he is playing quite badly.

Towards the last year or 2 in Europe there were signs he was just falling apart(physically). Couldn't stay fit at all.

It's a shame considering how talented he was(is?).

There was a lot of hype with Damiao too but it seems he hasn't lived up to it.

Damiao, Ganso, Pato etc. all had a lot of talk and excitement around them some years ago. All 3 of them are still under 25 I think, so who knows if things may change.

So far though, Neymar seems like the lone survivor from that group of talents which were supposed to become huge.

Brazilian people are not going to riot for this stupid national team. For the clubs when they get relegated or shamefully lose some match... who knows. I've seen it happen before with Corinthians and stuff. Not like it never happened in developed countries, i.e. Canada with hockey.

Football is just freaking intense for a lot of people, I guess.

I think something can simultaneously be in poor taste and also be funny. Cant blame the mods if they wanna crack down on the nazi reference business and cant blame some people for being offended (what you might not find to be a big deal others might find repulsive), but I am a god damn liar if a battalion of panzers rolling ominously down a field wasnt the first form of imagery that came to my mind when the score got to 3-0 lol

Montreal riots when they win the Stanley Cups.
Vancouver riots when they lose Stanley Cups

I would like to add how the English Premier League has become a burial ground for a lot of our promising players: Anderson, Paulinho, Sando, Lucas Leiva, Oscar... It's like there is some curse over there.

Ganso and Pato are so freaking bad right now, even for the Brazilian Championship tier. Goddamn, what a lost generation.

Neymar is still young, I wouldn't count on him not disappointing us. Who knows if he'l pull a Robinho those next few years (I really hope not)

What exactly happened to Robinho? I remember Pele calling him the next Pele some time ago and he didn't even make the squad this Cup?!

Kaka and Robinho and Diego (played in Germany, I think he may be retired now) we're all stars at 20 who should have been in their prime for this World Cup (30-32 years old).

Brazil played the most debutants of all nations in the four years between last and this World Cup, yet scolari may not have picked the best squad. I would have had kaka in there at least for experience. This team had no leadership other than tiago silva.

He's been hiding in Milan since 2010, coinciding with a really bad spell for the team. No brilliance there whatsoever.

He actually has some prestige with the National Team (always plays better for Brazil than for his club), he is just not in the team right now because... I don't really know, lol. I guess he wasn't in the Confed Cup last year for some reason and that team worked out, so Felipao let go of him.
