And why? I was wondering that.

Well, he's a forward and only made one goal in this WC

And people keep saying that he's playing like shit this year, but he's in the main team since Scolari returned to the national team, and he hates to make big changes in his teams.
Is the same reason why Jô it's in this Cup

I take you didn't watched Confederations Cup last year

lol great gif.

I still can't get over the result. This match is already a classic and we'll be talked about for years to come. Makes me feel less bad about the Portugal loss though.

I want to rewatch the first 30 mins of the game. Are there any legal streams where I can watch it?

no im pretty sure if it was women's football they would still boo a useless striker

But how exactly is it Fred's fault that Brazil has no one better than him? He is probably trying as hard as he can, he isn't very good but what is he supposed to do?

Mertesacker said the team slowed down after the 5-0. I believe him.
That was obvious. They could have scored more than 10 if they had kept it up.

Brazils effort was the most pathetic I have ever seen from a national team.

Any stories come out to explain it? I don't buy the emotions or the absence of silva and neymar. Even without them the players can still run hard. German had a ridiculous amount of space throughout the game, even more so after the first 2 goals when it looked like Brazil gave up.

Since no one (probably) mentioned this, the ref in this game was excellent. Did he have previous good games as well?

Agreed he was having none of it when people were diving. He was calm and composed.

Does anyone have a gif of when Brazils bs Germany got into a shouting match and Neuer strutted in and broke it up?

Basically this
Germany was playing better and made 2 goals
After that, the brazilian players just lost their head and Germany made 3 goals in 5 minutes

EDIT: sorry for the double post

It seems this was the first time Ashton Kutcher saw a football match in Brazil

He must have a very good impression right now.

And also Mick Jagger with his Brazilian son:

This was a blast to watch. Had 4 people over and we were watching the game together. After huge cheering for the first 2 goals, it went over into a permanent laughter for the next 3 goals. It was just so funny. Afterwards it was a very relaxed mood and we were both, happy and amazed. Were poking fun here and there bursting out in laughter every now and then. Was a great evening for me. Gotta move around my workout schedule for sunday to be able to go somewhere to watch the finals.

It was a sad game for me to watch. Seeing all those people crying. Not just like shedding a tear but literally sobbing was really crazy when you remember it's just sports.

Then all I could think about was that blind and deaf Brazil fan ESPN had that story on and it really sucked. People really devote themselves to sports but Brazil just takes it to a new level.

This article sums it up well. Football requires more than just running hard. The loss of Silva was the biggest contributor to this result.

A lot of things had to go wrong and the Germans had to exploit it for a result like that. It was legendary to watch for sure. This world cup man, this world cup.

"The worst 6 minutes in Brazilian football history". Yeah, that's... Putting it mildly.

Do WC host automatically qualify?

I heard people say that this was Brazil's weakest team in a while.

Yes.

And no, it isn't. The one from 2011/12 was worse.

Eh.

I agree that losing silva hurt but that doesn't explain what happened today. After the first 10 minutes Germany was literally strolling down the field with seemingly no pressure on them. Germany probably could have had a dozen or more if they wanted. They are not that talent and Brazil is not that horrible. Hell no one probably is at this level.

Hilarious. Brazil gets no pitty from me when they choose to spend billions of dollars on the World Cup when there are so many problems with education, poverty, classism and infrastructure. And then there's the arrogance...

I'm sorry, but they deserved to lose. All I can do is hope that the Brazilian government and people will wake up and stop using soccer as some kind of distraction from the problems.
