The pressure is on germans side, they are the favorite.
Also, brazilians were on every match we played, cheering agaisnt us. Isn´t like it's gonna be different now.

Born in Brazil, chose to play for Spain.
Argentina have had a easy as fuck run in and scraped through against the decent teams. Hell, they even scraped through against teams that they should be dominating. Germany have steamrolled their way through against most teams.
Argentina are nowhere NEAR in the same league as Germany. Sure, it won't be a 7 - 1. But it could quite easily be round about 4 - 0 to Germany. 5 - 0 max. That is damn realistic.

Come on, it hurts but they played good but not great. Give some credit to Argentina too. This was as much a win due to their tactics and of course, they came through in PK's. Would love to have seen the Netherlands go though.

You're right. We all know the Netherlands are superior but this loss hurts just like Brazil's loss stings badly too.
Eh, it was bad move because the playing style of the team did nothing to accommodate him and what he brings to the pitch. Regardless he's young, whether he'll continue to be called up for international duty depends on how well he keeps up his form and what the future holds for the National Team. As a player I personally think he's very capable.

So I hope Argentina succeeds. There are a lot of memes in Brazilian media right now joking about how disastrous would be if Argentina wins the tournament after yesterday's humiliation.
They steamrolled their way through against two teams: Portugal and Brazil.
I think Germany will win, but it won't be easy.
The final will play a lot like RM-Bayern semis this year. Not talking about end result but what both teams are going to play at.

It was a tough match, of course, you have a very good team, but the better one won.
A "hollow" victory that leads us to sunday.
People get really hung up on Argentina getting through games with a single goal. Makes me wonder what people think when top clubs end games by 1-0 against "weaker" competition.
Reading the past few pages really makes me wonder if some people actually enjoy watching the game of futbol or just look at the scoreboard before running to the internet and typing away. Today's game was extremely good. Both sides were even, Robben was shut down and Messi was controlled. Both teams battled it out in the midfield and both their defense should be applauded.
Same way I don't understand people who seem to still shit on Costa Rica. Team did what it needed to do to win, end of story. That is futbol.

I feel so terrible for missing the game. Was able to watch each game so far till this Monday due to starting a new job. With that said
I am so proud of the Dutch team right now. We've played a good tournament. Obviously not the result we wanted, but nonetheless this team refused to quit till the last possible second. I really detest ending football games in something so unfair as penalty shoot outs. But it is what it is, and I couldn't be more happier with our team. Now I will sit back and enjoy the Germans tear apart this Argentinian team.

Yeah. I don't understand how some people are saying that Messi and Robben were shit in this game.They were just completely shut down and controlled and couldn't do a shit because of that. Both teams played really good game defensively and that lead minimal amount of goal scoring chances.

This is not how football works. Everything can happen in one game and it doesn't matter how both teams performed in the previous games if you can't repeat the performance in the final. If Argentina puts up their best performance of the tournament in the final and wins it no one will talk about the previous 6 matches anymore and they have the quality to make it happen. Germany is probably regarded as the favorite now but I've seen too many decisive matches in which the favorite lost, so I wouldn' t be too confident of victory yet.
Of course I hope for a German victory but it will be a very close match,

We kept the 2nd highest scoring team, and the 2nd most open goals in the tourney, from scoring at all. Our defense is shit. our opposition is shit. everything is shit.
Teams do what is needed to win is no justification for shit boring football. I bet you are one of the types of people who champion Mourinhos Chelsea for getting the job done, despite parking the bus in the majority of their games. They have exciting, attacking players in the Argentina side and they do not utilise them half as well as they could. Instead they play over defensively. There is playing defensively, no problem with that, but when it becomes over defensive it ruins the match.
That match right there was awful from both teams, I am genuinely astounded by those who have said it was incredible. Really? I love football, but that was a bit of a dissappointing game.
Also, I'm not hung up on the fact Argentina beat teams with a single goal. It's when they completely don't deserve the win that it annoys me. The Iran game for example. Pure robbery. Sure, this is football, and shit like that happens, but it is still annoying and you expect more from a team such as Argentina (especially when you look at who they have in their squad). Yes, it got them to the final. But they got to the final by playing boring football. They could have done the same by playing with more attacking flair yet they didn't. They aren't an entertaining team at all.
I must say the penalty shootout was pretty exhilarating. Extra Time ended at the same time I finished work so I ran across the street and into a beer hall full of Orange shirts and loud Argentinians. Was really fun and I cheered with my Latin compatriots. Everyone was a good sport and was a nice reminder of what makes the World Cup so great.

Football isn´t about deserving. It's a mix of luck, intelligence and tactics. In a world cup, you have to do what you have to do to win. This isnt about eye candy football.

So, your suggestion for playing against one of the fastest, best counter attacking teams is to push the ball and give them room to work because you find it boring to actually sit your backs farther back. Okay. Thank god no one will ever give you money to coach a team. You don't coach to have people eat their popcorn, you coach to win. De Gaal and Sabella, both, masterfully adjusted to spite the fact that both offenses flourish in the open field. Sit your back line farther and you neutralize the likes of Robben and Messi from exploiting open lanes.
I don't understand. You're basically saying they shouldn't have played that way, even though it is incontrovertibly the right call.

The world cup is different, playing better or having a better team doesn't necessary mean you'll win (see ARG-GER 2006, ARG group stage 2002). You make it to the finals and you win it doing what's needed, this isn't a league with 40 games, you have 30 days and 6 games every 4 years, you lose you go home, step up and win it or get the fuck home.
