This is better than that Forbes article. I liked this post. But you forgot to mention our overlord Mascherano as a key player.

I love football and have been watching Argentina all this cup and I just couldn't remember his name when writing this, my goodness. I feel like an idiot almost. I will be writing a full article for Friday to get published, dunno if anyone here would be interested in it though.

The biggest weakness for Germany, from what i've seen, is Ozil and Howedes.

I made sure to add that in. That side of the field will be our kryptonite if exploited. Höwedes is far too slow and Özil has no defensive mindset at all, hasn't even held possession all that well. That said, Höwedes was great against Brazil, and Özil hasn't been terrible, just average.

Either way, Hummels will need to up the load to help out on that side, make sure Boateng can manage the middle while Lahm keeps his area secure when not pulling up. Going to be a challenge, that. Luckily, Schweinsteiger and Khedira are both amazing holding midfielders, that also contribute great offensive passes and clearances. Schweinsteiger will certainly be able to help make-up for the poor performance on that side.

Also, Müller comes around that area to help Özil a lot, which will assist there, and that also happens to be the weaker side for the Argentinian attack, in my opinion (at this point due to the Di Maria issue).

This is why no one will ever take you seriously, America: http://www.forbes.com/sites/jimpage...e-to-soccers-atrocious-penalty-kick-shootout/

Lol i'm dying here.

So this fool would keep (potentially) the people in the stadium an additional 110 minutes, over the 120 (plus breaks) they would've already been there? Not to mention keep those poor fuckers running for another 2 hours, 'cause that ain't dangerous or nothin'.

Listen, losing to penalties can be a bummer, but the fact of the matter is, if you get to the penalties, it means you fucked up in those 2 hours prior to them that were given to you, to win the game regularly.
You've had your chances.

One question guys. If you have dual citizenship. You can represent the national team whenever you and they want?

So this year I play for Argentina National team but next WC I want to play for Portugals National Team, is that possible?

You can.
I have dual citizenship (Argentine-italian) and i was rooting for Italy, too bad they didn't make it, but since i was born in Argentina, i'm happy we made it to the finals.
This is the first time in my life i get to live such event. Sure i was born in 87 but i didn't have any clue about football during Italy 1990.

No, you can't play any major competition for two or more different countries anymore. At the past, it was possible. Ferenc Puskas played a World Cup for Hungary and one for Spain.

Edit: if you only played in friendly matches you can switch teams.

Im pretty sure if you play once for a national team you can't change it anymore, it doesn't have to do with how many nationalities you have

Even if Probity's analysis hurts to read, it's well-done. Hope those predictions finally prove wrong.

Soon, everything will be Argentina, including you!

Thanks, mate. If I were making some insane OT about it, I would have an image of it showing how it looks after being formatted for design and all that, which is normally pretty good in my opinion. I do a lot of work designing sports and games pages for my high school paper and my free lance stories locally, and have some awards for it. Not to BRAG or anything.

You forgot the real strength of Germany: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUCVby5viG0

Nah.

If you play for the youth teams you can switch though.

Inler played U21 Turkey. But chose to play for Switzerland after that.

Had he played for Turkey's senior team, he would have been stuck with them.

Only certain special circumstances allow you to switch nations once you've already played for the senior team of another. Very rarely. I can go into it further if you like.

Decade's ago you were able to switch though.

When I said it hurts to read, I meant as an Argentinian. :-P Writing and format were fine.

I realized right after I posted, was about to edit but I figured you had already seen it. I did give Argentina some credit though, you shouldn't feel down. You have plenty chance to lift the trophy, I wish the best this coming game. I always love a thrilling contest, and it will devastate me if we lose, but all credit if you can do it.

He's just some random ass dude that is a "Contributor." Has fewer followers than me on Twitter. Forbes has tons of these people -- including many who write dumb shit about video games and work up the gaming side. it's like Bleacher Report back in the day (BR has strangely gotten better over the years which seemed impossible to fathom).

Does anyone listen to Colin Cowherd on ESPN Radio? Dude was thrilled that traditionally white Germany but non-white Brazil. He said that he likes the Germany, Italy, and USA.

I hope next World Cup American media gets more informed about soccer. To say that Brazil and Argentina is all flash and no system is absurd. He also Brazil and Argentina crush people so they deserved to get crushed. Apparently he has never watched other Germany games like the vs. Portugal and Saudia Arabia.
Outside of Skip Bayless Cowherd may be the single worst sports media type out there. I don't think I've ever heard a single thing that he has said that is right or even reasonable. He views all sports by TV ratings and that's all he ever talks about.

He is like a shock jock who isn't trying to be funny.

If he was covering the Hillsborough disaster he would have made the sun look restrained.

I strongly follow Bleacher Report nowadays because I think they have some pretty good writers now, overall, and a nice variety of coverage and opinions. They also have a good app layout which makes me crazy happy, since a lot of other good sports apps make me cringe even with good writers.

I don't like their predictions most of the time though, they are generally shit, and the persistence of them thinking they are experts is laughable. They also have one of my least favorite rating systems for players of all time, and they change their opinions very easily - or never at all (especially about them thinking Özil is awful in that category).

They have improved a lot though, which is good. Wish that the news they have for other sports, like Basketball, didn't make me think about ESPN and there bias though. They should really try to keep things pretty even. Fucking ESPN.

Since Pope Francis, San Lorenzo (the team he supports) won the Argentine championship, are currently in Libertadores semi finals and Argentina are in the World Cup final. Dude is indeed blessed. lol
