And I'm rooting for Germany, they are an actually impressive team and didn't have a (mostly) super easy path to the final like Argentina, plus the Messi fanboys would get unbearable. On the other hand on the off chance Argentina wins, at least the Blaburn tears would be great, he's been extremely obnoxious with his overconfidence and disrespect to other teams.

Deserved, congrats. Germany is favored and rightfully so but I don't expect 7-1 like Brazil. Argentina can win.

Getting bitter. It's like looking at blatant console fanboys. No different. I mean, It's best to listen to impartial folks like me as we call it like we see it but some of these comments are the equivalent of system wars trolling. Messi being 27 and so accomplished does not make him old and tired. Just figure I'd point out the facts.

Looking forward to the game and expect Germany to win but am pulling for Messi.

And that 3rd place game too. Both teams have something to fight for but I really want to see the Netherlands trounce Brazil.

Argentina played like a team vs Netherlands though. Some people need to start giving teams more credit instead of falling in love with perception as if Argentina didn't earn their way. And honestly, Germany have been great and I think we've seen what they can do. Argentina's best defensive games have come the last 2. They are peaking at the right time.
 
Argentina had an easy path into the final because they made it easy. They played against 3 European teams once they were out of the group. And if Switzerland was quite weak, they beat Belgium and Netherlands, both team being among the best in Europe. Belgium had the best qualifiers and topped the group with 9 points (the same as Netherlands) in a group with an Algeria against whom Germany really struggled.

Also Germany destroyed two teams that were reckless in defense (Brazil and Portugal), but really struggled to play football against teams that defended well enough (France, Algeria and even Ghana). And Argentina defended very well in the last 2 games. Germany still have the capacity of winning 1-0 in a tight game, scoring from a corner or a free kick and for that they are definitely favorites.

Did you even watch our games? That's how we started against Portugal, equalized against Ghana, won against the US and won against France. Didn't Germany make the most goals out of all teams this WC from standards? I wouldn't be so confident.

I edited my post to be clear what I wanted to say. I realized that it was badly worded and it could be understood both ways.

- Whos Mascherano, Biglia, Enzo Perez, Romero, etc

Spain was this cups France 2010. They are good and deserve some respect.

It sounds like a lot wanted that Netherlands/Germany final. It could have been good but Argentina had something to say about that. They slowed the Robben/Van Persie train and deserve a lot of credit.

That's technically true though. You didn't win yesterday. Match ended 0-0 in a draw and you advanced via penalty shootout. That doesn't count as a win, ask FIFA :P
 
Man, Messi was incredible playing all 10 outfield positions and holding the Netherlands to a clean sheet.

He was great during penalties, too.

What a talent!
 
Gaf am I going blind or did Argentina scored a goal not given because of offside yesterday? because all I remember was a side netting attempt being called offside
 
I gotta cheer for Germany on this one.

Just so many World Cups and Euro tournaments where they just had to win, and chocked at the end.
I want to see this team win once!
