For those who don't know, there are also Silver and Bronze versions of the Ball (and Boot).

Previous winners: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FIFA_World_Cup_awards#Golden_Ball

Kroos (Or Messi depending on what he does in the final)

Pogba

Neuer

GAF got wayyyyyyy too excited about most of these World Cup girls. Only a few have been worthy of the hype, but only just. You people are very easily impressed.

Kroos (Or Messi depending on what he does in the final)

Pogba

Neuer

What is the Kroos hype? He hasn't been instrumental in our World Cup success, just a good central passer that took a few good set pieces. He isn't nearly as clutch as people are saying he is. I think Müller has been better, I'd give the ball to either Thomas or Messi then, whoever was more important to the final.

Wow at all the Pogba votes. Felt he was underwhelming considering his potential and performances at Juve.

Top 3:

Robben - Nonstop movement and incredible pace/stamina even in ET. Carried the dutch team and was offensively by far more dangerous than either Sneider or van Persie.

Rodriguez - Creative genius, great control. Could only be stopped through fouls by the Brazilians. With 22 years a great future prospect.

Hummels - Composure and basically a near flawless tournament even though he'd been striken with the flu and had been apparently having problems with his knee. German defense looked a lot more vulnerable without him.

Honorable Mention: Neymar - The only spark of creativity in the brazilian team.

Golden Glove: Neuer, no debate.

My thoughts exactly

Pulga's marketing.

What is the reasoning behind selecting Pogba above Depay in this tournament?

Depay was in the bench a lot?

Pogba played a great world cup stating all games. Maybe that's it.

How will Brazil show up tomorrow vs Holland?

This will be a pretty interesting 3rd place game

It's the most unpredictable match yet. I have no idea how both teams will play at all.

Different perception I guess. The way I see it, Kroos is the best individual performer in this world cup.

That said, germany is great as a team. Put Muller in Fred's place or Kroos instead of Fernandinho or Lahn instead of Marcelo or Hummels in place of Dante and Brazil would still lose.

they make a difference together. Not individually.

On a side note, remember how she:

Landed a gig with Lóreal?

She already lost it ,due to her having pictures on FB with a dead animal while holding a hunting rifle.

I know some of you said she is actually a very "common" girl in europe... But seriously, bring her to Brazil and people will go crazy for her.

No idea. Our side needs to show they still have spines, but the pressure of saving some dignity could be too much.

Holland (or at least Van Gaal) said he doesn't give a dirty fuck about a 3rd place match.I suppose it will be entertaining.

3rd place is better than nothing, and we still have 5 stars embroidered on or kits. VAMO JOGAR BRASIL PORRA

Should be good yeah. Dutch players said they don't want to leave with a second defeat, but I can imagine the Brazil squad thinking the same. We'll see how it goes tomorrow.

This is true, sure, but you said it yourself, without the players around him, Kroos wouldn't be nearly as useful. I have plenty of experience watching him nationally and for Bayern, and honestly, while good, he isn't worthy of the Golden Boot. He isn't quick, doesn't think quickly, has a weak mental game, but is good at picking out a pass and shooting long most of the time. He would have less an impact in the Brazilian offense than if you put Lahm in though. That much is evident in Lahm as being a leader and keeping that damn defense in check.

Though honestly I think Müller would have success with a lot of teams, he is great at finding locations and sticking the ball in the net, he has a ton of energy and endurance, he is good at passing. He would have been useful for Brazil in that game, I think. My belief is that you could take any of the players you mentioned and put them in that team, individually, and it would have made a difference even if they lost. Kroos doesn't deserve the Golden Boot as a member of the German TEAM (Machine), he isn't instrumental in our success at all. He has been pretty good, better than normal, but I don't think he has been the best in the Cup.
