I count 5 TLOU threads on the front page.
Not bad GAF, not bad at all.
There aren't any raids in Uranus but if you can get past that horrible flaw then you are in for a treat!

Looks like the ps3 version, also whats new besides the upped graphics? Because gameplay>graphics
The better controller and all the expansion content should both make nice additions.
Assuming they're legit the most impressive thing is the image quality. Little to no aliasing, and very clean texture rendering and filtering, Exactly what an up-port should look like.
Oh well, some petty extra tacked on aliasing and content that I already have, won't make me buy it again.
Also the hype for this remaster is not understandable, it just got released (last year) and we get an remaster 1 year later.![]()
No way that's a direct capture.
...From the PS3 version? Why not?
Walking around in this is going to feel. so. GOOD
They don't look THAT much better than some of the PS3 screenshots I have seen posted here on GAF.
AFAIK, Photo mode in Infamous is 1:1 to what you see in gameplay. I mean I can still spot aliasing here and there in it, just like as in game, and it applies effects and stuff in realtime with no framerate drop, delay or anything.IQ in SS isn't perfect, outside of photo mode, as can be seen here:
It is. Only upscaled to 1080p like your TV would do before you see the visuals in the game. It's just that you sit further away from the TV so the flaws don't look so jarring like now when you see it upclose on a monitor. No way that's a direct capture.
It's upscaled from 720 to 1080 since that's what it'll do on a TV. It's accurate for what the game looks like on a 1080p set.'cause it looks compressed to hell.

Anyway, these TLOU screens are highly suspect as they have edge enhancement applied. Which means they were probably scaled down from much higher resolution using the silly "sharp" method in Photoshop.
It's photoshop edge enhancement because these screens are not direct feed.Looks like Naughty Dog has put some horrid fine-line SSAO on the characters, it looks like an outline as opposed to ambient occlusion.
They've got that fantastic ambient occlusion-effect indirect lighting, so why do the screens look like they've also layered on a screen-space solution too?
Kind of annoyed. Still, since there's no upgrade, I'm not buying it anyway.

Whats with the sharpen filter on the screens?
Looks great, and a good reminder of how beastly the PS3 was.
so this was the best looking game of ps3?
ok

Nice and clean, just what I wanted. Wasnt expecting much else, just better IQ.
No, it wasn't.
Journey
Ni no Kuni
Uncharted 3
Beyond: Two Souls
Puppeteer
...are all superior looking PS3 games.
Wouldn't really say much worse, just less sharp. Though they also seem to have added a lot of AA on these screens, so not sure how much those really represent the Ps3 versionHere is a thread from 2012 with you guys liking and complaining about shots from the PS3 game that, in comparison, now look much worse

Probably bullshots sadly, but should still look great once released.
Oh, please. Quit drinking the Ghibli Kool-aid. There is nothing about the game that looks amazing.
