The thread is like a mini version of Bungie's marketing. All the information is available, but people still don't get it.

Then again, sometimes making things more straight-forward can help. The OP does require you to read the whole thing, and most people are going to skim or spot-check.

My Bungie profile says I paid $80 for a beta code to be available on the 17th. It's 75% through the day with nothing, and we have to be OK with some obscure town's timing on the west coast. Asia seems to have it sorted, Europe a mess. Global service much?

Hey guy. You do realize that when it comes to timezones, the Earth rotates, right? As in, yeah, where you are most of the day has already passed, but when it comes time to end...most of the day will have already passed. You'll play the beta as much as almost anyone.

There is a HUGE countdown on Bungie's website. You don't need to understand timezones for a countdown.

guys, does the Destiny Companion app rendering 3d models for you? I', running it on iPhone 4s and all i get are dark silhouettes.

can anyone confirm that my phone sucks or its not implemented yet?

I get the same thing on Android. Same when you look at the weapons in 3D. I've emailed Bungie app support but so far heard nada.

There is a setting I found in the android app that automatically disables 3d rendering if you are not on wifi that is set by default. Have you tried this? I haven't actually tried to view anybody yet to see if it actually works on my phone yet.

So I am away from my PS4 but I have the app and my PS4 is on. How will I be able to download the Beta remotely?

(This is just a back up, I already have the EU beta downloaded)

This is the problem. 99% of the world's population doesn't give a fuck about what time it is on the west coast of America. And we all also paid for the the pre-order.

Let me take the time to tell you why you're a sad, sad person.

Exhibit A: 99% of the world population doesn't give a fuck about what time it is on the West Coast of America.

First off, Bungie is located on the West Coast. So the people delivering your content should be allowed to wake the fuck up and get ready for the day. They have that right. Second, a decent portion of the world gives a fuck because Silicon Valley is on the West Coast. I hear that's an important tech center. Also, the Pacific time zone stretches outside of the USA, so you also have the rest of the population in that zone.

Exhibit B: And we all also paid for the pre-order.

OBJECTION!!! A substantial portion of gamers did NOT pay for the pre-order. As Amazon is the largest online retailer, and they don't charge until the item ships, we did not "all" pay for the pre order. On that note, you paid for a PRE-ORDER. You did not pay shit for the beta that Bungie has graciously allowed your whiny ass to play.

A group is like the umbrella organization with multiple in game clans underneath it.

Bungies decision to not allow multiple clans to be made under one group is a fucking pain. They literally did their best in doing the most pain in the ass way to do the clan system outside of a stick and a rock.

No worries, thought it was worth a shot. When looking at the settings it specifically says show "your" character in 3d. I wonder if it isn't able to show other players' characters in 3d.
