No sounds like it went to everyone who pre-ordered.
Apparently me and a bunch others who used Paypal didn't get the email, so it might be going out to non-paypal users first.

So if you get that email does that confirm you will be one of those getting a rift first?
This email is being sent to all developers with pending pre-orders for the Oculus Rift Development Kit 2 and is not an indication of your specific order status.
It sounds like your CC info is fine, they're just telling you that things haven't been put through yet and you have time to change your payment info if needed.i got this on the page: Your order is currently back-ordered and we have not charged your card for the full amount.
Your current balance is $431.95 USD.
If you would like to pay for the remaining balance using a different payment instrument, please enter the updated information below.
do you guys have that too or did my cc not accept the authorization ?

It should be fine. I'm keeping all my info the same as well.I signed up with a credit card when I ordered, and I didn't update my payment info now since it looks correct. Hopefully it just automatically goes through.
They really make the CC stuff unnecessarily complicated. I am having mine shipped to work as I always do with expensive stuff.
The address was correct but even though I could see they charged $50 to my credit card with my home address as the billing address they had then updated my billing address to be my work address. So then I added my credit card again with the correct billing address. Then I get an error saying that they already had my credit card on file.
Now everything looks right but I still have a little doubt in my mind that everything will go smoothly because it was all so unnecessarily complicated. Seriously, why does this have to be so hard? The info was all correct the first time and then I had to go back in and change it because their system changed stuff around. I've never had to do this with anything else I have ever preordered on the internet and I do that frequently.
EDIT: Fuck, I just checked on my order again and again they had reverted my billing address back to my work address again! WTF!? I guess I am just going to get it shipped to my house.
Getting excited. My friend and I have decided to switch our current project to UE4 from Unity so I cannot wait to get this thing!
What made you decide to switch? I like Unity but have been really impressed with how fast UE4 has been evolving.
I'm a little confused by this since UE4 source can be modified if users want maximum customization, and the latest version just added the latest SDK support complete with timewarp, correct?Unity has the best oculus rift integration of any engine yet, with lots of resources straight from oculus themselves. Sixense also has some prefab unity assets, making it a pretty ideal choice for VR development right now.
They charged 1$ of my creditcard.
Did I even had to update my order information? I mean they are still the same.
Apparently me and a bunch others who used Paypal didn't get the email, so it might be going out to non-paypal users first.
I thought if you used Paypal you already had been charged the full amount for your Oculus... so you shouldn't need to update anything, right?
You can also update your payment information now at https://www.oculusvr.com/sales/order_update.php
(to/from cc from/to paypal)
Can I change my cc to another cc?

Now that delivery time is nearing, I'm wondering if my trusty amd 7870 will be enough for the DK2: what do you guys think? (I know CyberReality said gtx770 should be considered minimum gpu level for a good experience)

Oh god, I hope my 670 runs the VR content acceptably.
Oh god, I hope my 670 runs the VR content acceptably. Tbh the price of admission is worth it to me as long as valve updates half life 2 for dk2, all I want right now is to play that game in VR.
The 670 should be totally fine to play HL2 on DK2.Oh god, I hope my 670 runs the VR content acceptably. Tbh the price of admission is worth it to me as long as valve updates half life 2 for dk2, all I want right now is to play that game in VR.
It's one of the finest FPS games ever made. I'm not sure I'd play it in VR first though. I didn't enjoy the experience on DK1, although people do seem to rave about it. It doesn't feel like a made-for-VR game to me, just constantly awkward. Is it really that good? Never played HL2 before.
Yep. Just fill out the new details.
I had to change mine because the cc I used for the first payment is expired now. Apparently it went well.
It's a great game but when I say there is nothing else I want to play more right now I mean that being able to play a game of that caliber already in VR will be amazing. I played half life 2 way after release, a year or two after orange box and thought it was a solid game, but being able to immerse myself in that world using the oculus will be an entirely different and game changing experience, I can't wait.Is it really that good? Never played HL2 before.
We are preparing to start shipping the new Oculus Rift Development Kit 2. Please take a moment to update your billing and shipping information on the Order Management page: https://www.oculusvr.com/sales/.
Incomplete information or errors with your payment information or shipping address will cause shipping delays.
I'm in the same boat. Senza Peso runs pretty horrible (for VR standards) at about 30~40fps in effect intense areas (so basically once you leave the second area). Xing also performs similarly bad in the jungle. So unless Epic really optimizes some stuff or the devs offer in-depth rift-specific graphic settings like Screen Percentage... it doesn't look to good for more expensive UE4 demos.
Can't say anything about Unity or injectors tho, those are the only ones I tried so far since I wanted to have Senza Peso as my first VR experience but oh well... maybe I'll cave in and buy a 780/Ti once I know when my DK2 arrives![]()
Read the thread, everybody got that email. I ordered mine just a few weeks ago and I got the email, it means nothing.Looks like i'm getting mine soon![]()
Is everyone getting this email or just the people who will get it shipped next week?
I never got the email strangely.Read the thread, everybody got that email. I ordered mine just a few weeks ago and I got the email, it means nothing.

I don't get the big "update your info" stuff... my info was correct the first time I put it in. And I'm not in a huge hurry, I don't need it NOW like some people seem to. I don't even bother checking my order status.. I'll see when they charge my CC for the rest of the amount, that's enough of a "notification" that they're getting ready to send it. That, combined with the actual notification that they send... bombarding the order status page with refresh requests is beyond pointless.
Already said this before. Only people who paid with a credit card got the email. Paypal users didn't get sent the email. Still check though to confirm address.
This is not true. My friend got the same email and he paid via PayPal.
