Some areas are designated as public areas, but if you do a story mission or strike and enter a certain area, that becomes an "instance," which is only for you and your fire team members.

Destiny icon on the left. Dark gray against black, or close enough.
If you can't see it, your TV's contrast is probably wrong.

Back in 2013, There was an E3 Demo that mentioned a much larger playing space than what we seem to be getting.

Currently, I don't see that happening...

He mentions that they hope to be able to send players to it one day and that it is real geometry. A player could play/walk on it if they could get there, but they can't. He isn't really wrong and he didn't really falsify anything.

Oh sorry, its to the north. Behind Xander 99-40 the bounty tracker . The gates open at 7hpm paci. If the gates are closed just go to orbit and head back down to the tower

Destinypedia claims the game's level cap is 20 but Light stat acts as additional levels, in a way.

Interesting design choice if true. I reckon you don't actually need Light for story content but special places and raids probably need it?

Instead of going down to your trainer, head up. If it's not open go to orbit and head back down to the tower

If you do the random missions from the green beacons in Exploration mode, a lot of the objectives are found there. If you don't already have a fire team, you can invite random people to join you. And sometimes public events occur, where you have to attack/defend certain objectives or fight a huge enemy, and anyone can participate. You get a reward for doing so.

You buy it from the iron banner guy in the tower. You have to reach rank 1 for the iron banner which requires four wins before he'll sell it.

I get it, talk to the robot, get the contracts. Then go to orbit and the iron banner is there.
