Funny that nobody likes objective because that's what I love. Unfortunately with no passenger vehicles in destiny (at least so far) looks like capture the flag might not happen. Shame as I love it.

I wonder if Bungie will add non competitive game types like in halo.

Oh fuck me. If they add a Griff ball equivalent forget about it my guardian is becoming a professional sports player.

Speaking of sports has any of you played soccer in the tower? Once in a while a soccer ball or a balloon appears and I transform into James Warlockdigrez.

I have a feeling that Bungie will add something similar. Or maybe even a soccer game.

Am I the only one that kinda likes the Moon map? It makes for some great ranged combat.

I also like the vehicles, even though I agree that the Interceptor should be nerfed a bit.
My favorite map. Sniping is one my favorite things about PvP and it's the best map for doing so. It's especially great to snipe people out of the Interceptor. It's also a nice change from the constant shotguns like on every other map.

The beta has been great overall. There are some balance changes that are needed, but I'm confident that that can be ironed out.

My biggest concern is that I've played 14 hours and I only talked to one person other than my two clanmates. Is it just me? Have you talked with anyone?

There are two issues I think.

1) Voice Chat is really limited:

- No voice chat in PVP. It's entirely team-based, but I can't talk to anyone? Is voice chat really limited to fireteams only? That's crazy limited. I just moved from 360 to PS4 so I don't have a lot of friends yet. It'd be cool to get to know some other Destiny players.
- Is there really no voice chat in Strikes by default? Strikes are 3 person fireteams, but whenever I did a strike, no one talked. I clicked R3 on my teammate, invited them to my fireteam, at which point they went back to orbit, then re-entered the game and I could talk to them! How does that make sense? Is this really how it works?

2) If you accept that voice chat is going to be really limited, there's still no effective way to talk to teammates.

The built-in gestures are fun in the Tower, but useless in the field.

- Waving is good while exploring, but unhelpful during strikes.
- Pointing is completely useless unless you can only see a teammate pointing if you're looking directly at them. And even then it's only good for a direction, not pointing at an object.
- Sitting? Why would I sit in an active battlezone? I suppose it's nice for sitting for screenshots with Bungie's beautiful skyboxes, but I don't *need* it like I do the stuff below.
- Dancing is just fine.

We really need combat-related gestures. Here are some ideas I brainstormed this morning. Feel free to add/criticize

- Call target. Have you tried to take out that Demon Walker with a team that is just shooting at whatever they damn well please? Being able to really call out what to shoot will make teams much more effective.
- Rally to me. Strikes start out in wide open explore territory. I had a teammate get distracted and wander off at the start and my other teammate charged straight ahead. There was no way to tell one to hurry up and the other to wait up. So very frustrating. It'd also be helpful for trying to group up in between waves like during the Strike.
- Awesome/Thank You. Those two above are great for combat, but we need a way to interact with our teammates too. Someone resurrects you? Say thanks! You shoot a Stealth Vandal right before they knife your buddy? Now you can see that they appreciate it, rather than just them wandering away.
- Keep dancing. It's fun to dance in the broken shell of Sepkis Prime.

How do y'all feel? Agree? disagree? Big problem? Not a problem? I'm really curious because I'm not a member of the GAF clan yet and I haven't talked to anyone really.

I...don't see why everyone is saying the FoV is so bad. Feels perfectly fine to me. *shrugs*

Feels like tunnel vision. If only my view was a little wider...

I cannot imagine playing this game without surround sound - the narrow FOV creates so many blind spots.

I still feel that the FoV for that Game is way way too low especially in crucible.

And give me a option to adjust ADS sensibility. I can't snipe because even at 1 it is to fast for me. I like ADS very slow because it is so muc more accurate with sticks.

The Classes feel unbalanced too. I as a hunter got the feeling that i go instant down where Titans with their armor are just more bullet spongee. It might be the terrible Servers too. I got a lot of lag with 25ping 100 down and 5 up internet.

Please let me delete my stuff from the tresor. I don't want to pick them up and then delete them.

Really Really nerf the vehicles. First Moon is a pain to play because they are so freaking OP. It is not fun to play with those. And whoever get them first or first destroys the enemies Tank will have huge startadvantage.

The Game itself isn't running smoothly. I can understand it for free roaming and the big maps, but crucible is just not acceptable. It should have been 60 fps, because Maps and playersize would be total okay for this. INstead it is 20-30fps.

Everyone plays full automatic gun on smaller Maps. Because they are so easy to handle and do a lot of damage. They should be nerfed a bit too.

Why is it that, when you use a super with a Titan or a Warlock and get killed or interrupted that you can still trigger you super after your death, but with a hunter when you call your gun and get killed you have to fill the super up again ? Not fair at all.

Have you ever played a PC FPS? A lot of those have a larger FoV and/or the option to adjust it. It's quite the difference.

Nope, but ODST is said to have a high FoV, and I've played that. The only game I've played heavily that I could really feel the "tunnel vision" was Halo 2. With Destiny I'm not getting that feeling.

I went 39/11 in an iron banner match lastnight and my team still managed to lose lol! Needless to say I enjoy pvp a lot more now that I have decent weapons. This game will consume my life in september. Excited to play on xbox wednesday so I can actually form a fireteam with some friends. I have no ps4 friends :/

You can add me :)

PSN ID is in my profile.

Where you playing with friends? i think playing with people you know, and headsets would make this game a lot more exciting. I would generally try to stick with at least one person to dominate. Some would just want to go on their own tho.

Usually it was me and two others. Sometimes still wasn't enough to win, even with those stats. Played some games with some GAFers on Saturday during the Iron Banner, lots of communication. Won every game.

Nice stats I feel like mine would be similar if I had more people to play with :(. Always get stuck on the shitty teams lol.

Thanks! Yep, communication and teamwork makes a big difference. I'll add you on PSN, we can group up later this week!

Has anyone from Bungie ever said anything about the FOV?

I feel like it's the one thing holding this game back right now.

It's terrible. It feels like someone has two hands either side of my face.

I'm used to 90-100, and I know we won't get that, but damn it's restrictive. I could manage with 75 or so, but this feels like 50...

Was finally able to play over the weekend and I enjoyed the new story mission layout and how certain things unlocked along the way. The new MP maps were actually a lot of fun, and I am quite partial to Mars at this point. Weapons feel a little less OP from the Alpha and a bit more balanced. I'd say that the weakest MP arena so far has been the Moon, but I'm a bigger fan of tighter maps in fps.

I have yet to do the Strike as my internet has been a bit wonky. Have they made adjustments to how bullet spongey the tank boss was in the Alpha or is it pretty much the same?

If Bungie ever segregated playlists by gametype, objective would be starved of players.

So objective is not really popular. Why lump it in with a thing like Rumble Pit? Like I said I hated being forced to play a skull match or something when I just want to play some FFA.

If objective playlists are starved for players, then that says enough about how fun the gametype is, and how many times it should come up in a playlist imo.

If 99% of the people prefer FFA, why lock it behind a playlist that includes objective type games?

Weapon stats affect crucible pvp? A level 8 shotgun will do more damage than a level 1 shotgun, for example?

I'd love more info on this myself. I think weapon abilities / stats matter, i.e., an AR with low Impact / High Rate of fire versus a High Impact / low Rate of Fire. I think it matters even in normal Crucible?

Okay, so after the match I had last night on the Mars map I can see why people are saying the map is unbalanced. Also, I know they'll never do this but they really need to increase the FoV.

Is that Blind something with point C and B right next to each other, with C kind of in a lower hallway? Yeah. I actively try and avoid capping point A since if you have B and C, you can setup and merrily gun enemies down who spawn and try to leave point A.

The team that starts closer to C can also reach B and C before the team that starts near A.

I saw three guys playing so I ran in and did a slide. Kicked the ball....riiiight off the edge of the Tower. All three stopped and shamed / pointed at me repeatedly til I made amends by jumping off the Tower (even chased me around the Tower).

The FOV is bad :(. Can really tell in close in fist fights.

I wish they'd go back ODST's FoV. It and CEA were the only games that were decent (88 and 86 in widescreen singleplayer respectively.) Halo 3's 70 (55 on 4:3) FoV still makes me shudder.

If anyohne would like to group up for pvp on ps3, EU, please add me. Mics and co-ordination would make this game 10x more fun.

Please add a message that you're from neogaf for Destiny. <3

Anyone know the math behind the damage stat? For every weapon type it seems to be completely different. Scout rifle with the same damage stat as an auto rifle seems to do roughly twice the damage.

I've been playing on the PS3 because I'm getting the white PS4 bundle. The game looks great on PS3, but it's going to feel SO sexy on release day when I've got my brand new hardware running it :)

are you so jealous

mannn please quote pictures, you're making work viewing awkward....

Hot desking on the wrong side today so whole office could infact see my screen.

So what are you guys planning to do for two and a bit days now its down?

No got sniped sadly.

Lame, but at least it wasn't a super...
