I think I've been going into these matches with the wrong priorities. I was also terrible at the beginning. Much less useless now.

Higher fov means more to render on screen. Not saying the consoles dont have enough power to handle it but I would assume not since they picked such a low fov. May just be their preference though.

Holy shit that is awesome. I am definitely playing Warlock as my main come launch.
The low FOV is very similar to Halo. More likely just a preference.
SHIIIITTT No wonder I've not found any.
I think they need to stand out a little more from the environment though. Maybe give them a glimmer or have the lights on them strobe between colours. Something to help your eye catch them.

Because then objective playlists would be starved of people. And if they're starved of people, it takes longer to find matches, and if takes longer to find matches, most people won't consider the playlist. It's a self-perpetuating downward spiral. That's why it's better to keep the playlists together.
I think voting and veto options are a redundant feature if you have good gametype/map combinations.
Edit: I understand where you're coming from, but not playing what you want at any moment is one of the downsides of matchmaking.

Probably preference as Halo 3 had a higher FOV.
But why not just let people play what they want? If the objective based mode is fun enough and good enough with good maps people will flock to it regardless.
Most people will go for TDM or DM because that's just what shooter guys like to play ( as do I ).
I think lumping in objective based games together with TDM or DM matches is the worst decision ever. In my personal experience at least.
Yes, yes, LORE talk. I was hanging out near the Dead Orbit guys and Peter Stormare seems to think fighting the Darkness is useless and wants to flee to planets untouched by the Darkness.
Also, separately, I really think the whole transmat / Ghost bringing you back from the dead is OP and armoring you (but not giving you a weapon!) leads to bothersome questions of "if they can do this, why are they having material shortages" etc.
So psyched.

Yeah saw this the other day, it sounds harrowing, second chance pro kind of harrowing.

I think if they added an easily joinable public chat channel to each mode/game, that would fix everything communication wise.
They could use the ghost action for stuff like this too;
Tap touch pad -> Tap square for sparrow, hold triangle for go to orbit, tap circle for public chat, tap x for area map.

Are there any upgrades for the sliding? It doesn't need to be Vanquish crazy, but maybe a 15% distance boost or a direction change could be pretty fun.

My thoughts exactly. Seems like warlock is the way to go for PvE. Not so much in PvP.
Edit: any body know what the orbs of light do or what they are?

I think it's a bit strange that even though two players are in the same identical world playing together already, the game has to exit and re-enter to join up in a fireteam. Seems like there should be a way to do this seamlessly in the background. Right now it's sort of a hassle waiting around for them to respawn and then another minute for them to catch up from the spawn point.
On a mostly unrelated note, yesterday I encountered a very angry man in the game. Me and a random were doing those explore missions on a fireteam together when I invited a third random to our group who had been going it alone.
Neither of us had mics but you'd have to be dumb as a post to not be able complete the simple beta explore objectives, right? All you do is head for the marker. If you see something interesting just point. The two of us had been a very effective team so far.
Not this guy. After annoying yelling "Hellooooo" into his mic for two minutes he screams "How the fuck are we supposed to do this if you dont have fucking mics? Why the fuck would you invite me to a fucking useless fireteam? What the fuck am I supposed to do? Stop wasting my fucking time jackass."
How can people be this mentally challenged? If you don't like a quiet fireteam then that's a fine preference, but this guy seemed to think the whole game was void without a microphone and that I had personally offended him.

I guess the only other thing I'd really change about the multiplayer is that awful announcer. He sounds like the piracy video guy from the IT crowd. "You wouldn't shoot a policeman, and capture his zone."
The shotgun I have, Outlander Mk. 38, has a bonus called Kneepads which extends slide range when I have it equipped.
Na, read some of the gun descriptions. They have material shortages as well. I believe some of the starship designs even mention it.

Honestly I really dislike Gearbox, they can't actually make anything other than boarderlands, and even then by the end of the DLC in two, I was seriously done with it.
