I definitely want to know more and really enjoy the PvE part more than PvP so far. I just hope its extensive and not just a few more missions than what we have seen so far. I hope there's dozens strewn across various planets, not just 4 locations as rumored.

Me too. But I wish there was a little more dynamism to the missions. So far they are all pretty predictable corridors and large room encounters.

AFAIK the Vanguard Armor is for all preorders, there's a red Sparrow skin from Gamestop, and everything else is a part of the special editions that can be purchased from anywhere.

The Beta gives the impression of a loose, understated, and evolving story. While I'm not impressed with what I've seen so far, I'm reasonably confident that it can evolve to something appropriate for the game's scope.

Warlock gets a tracking super rocket launcher. Titan gets massive damage reduction stomp, but point blank range. Hunter gets a sunshiny sniper rifle that can guarantee 3 kills if you're competent, more if you have penetration and catch a couple people in a row(Which happens a lot with the linearness of the maps so far).

Pick what you want. Titan's benefit over the warlock only comes in the form of tanking though, not its super, and even that comes at the cost of speed.
 
Saw a few hunters running around with Legendary cloaks last night in the Tower and felt envious. Guess I should have tried my hand at the Iron Banner thing huh?
 
I am already missing this game. Just two things that bother me.. The Iron Banner event was for 2 hours only. I couldnt take a part in it. I hope events will be longer than that in the final game.

And the Super for Hunter is not as good as Titan's or Warlock's. I wont even call it a super at all tbh. If there wasnt a timer on it, then it would have been better.
 
So are people still hating on the MP announcer / the speaker?

I think it's great when you're about to win by a big lead and he says

'ha-HA.. The crucible is not a place for the weak"

(or something like that)
 
I saw a lot of "Warlock subclass has a revive teammate ability" but only ever saw a "revive self" ability on the tree. Am I blind or is the entire world wrong?

I don't get the hate either. He's plenty enthusiastic, his delivery is just a little dry in a way that befits his accent.
 
Anyone else wish that they had some sort of SMG or machine pistol as a special weapon? Having only one type of automatic is a little silly. I do love this beta though :).

The skill is a Super iirc. It probably has an AoE effect allowing players to Res themselves and/or others if within range of the AoE.

There's medals for Reviving players in PvP and since you can't do it manually, that skill would be the only way.

Agreed. More automatic guns would be nice. As it stands, the AR is really the only reasonable choice for pvp as a primary.

Hmm, I think you're right. Either they changed it, or it's some kind of additional benefit you get from locking yourself into Sunsinger.

Speaking of which, do we know what exactly happens when you seal a sub-class?

The increased accuracy practically makes the Sahara into a PvE beast. It's all the advantages of a Machine Gun, but without ever needing to be ammo conservative.

I like the Crucible announcer.

The guy from The Wire does a terrible job though. Dinklage got a lot of stick in the alpha but it's Lance Reddick who should be receiving criticism.
 
I hope they address the terrible latency in crucible. I'm not sure if its bad net code or matchmaking but I have killed a guy and it takes a second or two for it to even register while they are still shooting.

AR/Shotty is a beastly combo, I will admit. Hell, the AR is only there for range. The shotty-melee combo is deadly and is worthy of primary weapon status. I'm not complaining, though.

I love my shotty-palm (Warlock Master Class).
 
Question: has it been said whether or not PS4 can play with XBOXONE users? I only saw an article saying PS3 could not play with PS4 users, etc.

Do we know the final number of subclasses per class?

We have two of them in our inventory in Beta, but have three slots. One is empty.
 
Though AR has one small disadvantage in PvP
It can't deal enormous amounts of damage in a short time
By short time, I mean half-seconds
Like, you can't shoot someone out of a super with an AR easily, but you can with a Hand Cannon
