so basically everywhere
Here's a handy image from the IDF:

As you can see, no civilians were killed, just terrorists.

It really is a double standard, but the IDF is not just this autonomous band of highly trained soldiers. They have a government controlling them through democracy, and are also backed by the US. I'd rather get into the realpolitik of the matters than trying to fight for a labeling from the international community that would fall on its face.

Killing a woman and her child? A-OK according to the Israeli leadership.
No, the german one is certainly not such one.
And bollocks, you can have terrorist or be a torrorist without any kind of connection to a group of people trained to murder/defend people/the state. Build a bomb with the intention to harm someone or someone property and you become one.
This sentiment sounds awfully familiar to an American.Wikipedia said:Today, after a ruling of the Federal Constitutional Court in 1994 the term "defense" has been defined to not only include protection of the borders of Germany, but also crisis reaction and conflict prevention, or more broadly as guarding the security of Germany anywhere in the world.
1. Israel is nowhere near a democracy, but this is neither the place or time to go into that.
2. Backed by the US- irrelevant. The US has backed many terrorist organizations throughout the ages if it suited their interests
3. If Hamas is labelled a terrorist organization, than IDF is more than fair game. Its members have killed and injured infinitely more innocents than Hamas could ever hope. It has terrorized, oppressed, and brutalized the residents of the West Bank and Gaza on a daily basis- especially when the region isn't in the news. Also, posts on social media from IDF soldiers show that it isn't exactly the "most moral army in the world"- many of which show deep racism and bigotry towards arabs, along with expressed desires to "kill" as many as possible, as well as celebrating these deaths.
If the definition of a terrorist organization is to spread terror, the IDF is a pretty damn good example.

It's really weird seeing the usual benign political graphic being used in this fashion. It reminds me of the way the Bush Administration approached its PR, except it's glossier and twitterized.
That image is like the "Bin Laden cave headquarters" image lol.
I was sad that the penthouse suite did not have a pool and jacuzzi. That image is like the "Bin Laden cave headquarters" image lol.
True, true, palestinians fight an unwinnable fight and would lose idologicaly and political in every possbile outcome unless the european forces could finally cast off any kind of anti-semitic arguments thrown at them, if they were to intervene.More on topic: The saddest thing about this whole situation is that no one can win. People will die for nothing and I'm afraid the cycle won't end until a full-on Palestinian uprising occurs. Which would be devastating. The rockets into Israel have to stop but Israel is really the one holding all the cards here. There can't be a compromise by the Palestinians because they have really nothing to give.
Haha this is ridiculous, did you guys catch the mistake on ABC news a couple of days ago? I completely missed this.

Almost all peace treaties are drawn up by third parties or intermediaries, so I'm not sure I understand your point.
Without a shred of proof?

The people of Israel are living in a constant state of fear, every single day sirens go off in major cities like Jerusalem and Tel Aviv forcing civilians to retreat into bomb shelters . What they are doing is a form of terrorism
From July 8th said:Since Hamas began tossing rockets indiscriminately at Israel hoping that the Iron Dome will miss at least one of them Ive started a tally.
So far, Ive run inside a bunker or a stairwell 14 times. Ive heard at least 20 booms that crackle the sky as the Iron Dome intercepts a rocket. Ive felt the ground shake from said boom four times.
how do you reasonably expect the Israeli government to respond? Just sit there and let their people be terrorized weeks on end without a response? That is absurd. Egypt called for a cease fire and Israel agreed to the terms, while Hamas continued to reject the terms or even negotiate. The United Nations on Thursday announced that over twenty rockets were found in a Gaza School.
More in this opinion piece:
You mean the ceasefire agreement that Hamas was never consulted on, and they only heard about from the media? The one that gave absolutely NOTHING to the Palestinians to improve the status quo? The one which Hamas actually responded to with amendments (you can find these reasonable amendments online) and Israel completely ignored the response? The ceasefire that would simply return Gaza to the blockaged, sieged, starved shithole it already is, without a single concession? The one where Israel gets everything it wants, and Gaza gets nothing?
I'm getting sick of these naive, childish, ignorant responses. People fall over themselves to spout their opinion based on the propaganda they heard, and can't bother informing themselves to the actual facts. The "ceasefire agreement" was a complete sham by Israel and their pathetic Egyptian lackeys to give Israel positive PR and further put the lame on Hamas, and it was not offered in good will. If it was, they would have at least negotiated with Hamas' amendments. The plan was made to fail, and Hamas would be even more damned for accepting such a joke. Unfortunately, people like you who can't bother to do a few seconds of research is exactly what's wrong.
As Jewish settlements expand, the Palestinians are being driven away
The signs of previous bouts of displacement ring the adjacent hills. Mobile homes for young Jewish settlers sprout on the hilltops. Armed with a list of military orders, Israeli soldiers are herding the West Banks Palestinians out of the rural 60% of the territory, officially known as Area C, where Israel has full military and civilian control, and into cities. On some days the Israeli army declares a patch of land to be a live-fire military zone. On other days they say the Palestinians must move because of an impending archaeological dig. The erection of hilltop stations to provide antennae for Israeli mobile phones (but not for Palestinian ones) is another oft-cited reason for pushing Palestinians out. Eight Palestinian hamlets around Susiya face demolition.
So far this year, Israels army has evicted almost 400 Palestinians from the West Bank and dismantled over 200 homes, the fastest rate for two years, according to the UN. The number of such incidents has risen sharply since a new Israeli government, with even stronger settler influence within it, took office in March. As a result, the European Union called on April 26th for an end to what it calls the forced transfer of Palestinians out of Area C. The Israeli army has also again demolished a restaurant, al-Maghrour, in a rural spot that was popular with Palestinians from nearby Bethlehem, which is increasingly hemmed in by settlements. In addition, some 2,300 Bedouin have recently been earmarked for removal from the strategic west-east corridor known as E1, which links Jerusalem to a big Jewish settlement, Maale Adumim, and to its smaller satellite community, Kfar Adumim, where Israels new housing minister, Uri Ariel, happens to reside.

Where did I once make it personal? Seriously? I did not level one insult towards another member, use a hostile tone, nor did I once condone the attacks made on innocent civilians. The only thing I said was Israel had the right to defend themselves due to 427 rockets being sent to their cities. This does not however give them permission to kill 500 civilians. I realize tensions are high due to the sensitive nature of the subject, but some people are incredibly out of line in this thread.
But go ahead, take your anger out on me.
It was the opposite for me. I feel strangely attracted to her.I tried, but that woman's smug delivery caused me to cringe out.
Seriously, if you had to speak to the families of the people killed.
Would you try and use all the information you've posted, and try rationalize it?
What approach would you use with them?

Hearing reports that a Palestinian man, Mohamed Shawamreh, has just been killed by the #IDF in #Ramallah. #WestBank #Palestine

Not to pry into your personal life, but I feel like you would have a better perspective on this than most in this thread. Are you considering cancelling the trip given the recent turmoil?

Waiting on news source for this but this is disgusting.
What is the stance of the Arabic and Islamic countries that has ties with Israel regarding Gaza?
Did Turkey decided to stop providing Gas to Israel?
Did Qatar threatened to close their Israel Commercial office in Doha?
Did Iran add stop attacking Paleatinians as one of the Agreements in their Nuclear talks?
Did Egypt and Jordon pulled their Ammbasdors from Israel?

I'm going for a wedding and it's non-refundable so most likely not. I'm going to document my trip and most likely will post some of it on GAF. My trip was planned a few weeks before any of this occurred =/
Just saw on CNN that UN workers gave rockets to Hamas? Am I crazy or is that what it said?
I'm sure you'll be fine, but I hope you and your family stay safe.
Just came across this clip of despicable reporting from Fox News from 2 empty bimbos. There's a 4 letter word I would call that that shameful "human rights attorney" who's an utter embarrassment to the title. How vile. Was tough not to vomit when she was commenting on the "bias against Israel" in western media, or defining all pal deaths as "human shields". I hope these people are being paid a fuckload of money, to make selling their souls in such a manner worth it.

Revolt against the only group of peolple that seemingly fights for their right to keep the territory they have left? You live among 20,000 hamas militants which your region voted for, and uses your urban area to conduct its military actions.
They could revolt like the people in Syria and Egypt did but, then you would see a real massacre.
Surely someone named Brooke Goldstein won't be biased at all. Listening to hear makes one rage almost as much as looking at the mutilated people of gaza.Just came across this clip of despicable reporting from Fox News from 2 empty bimbos. I really hope Israel will suffer dire consequences for this horrible massacre, the thought that they probably won't drives me crazy.

That's what it said.
Report: U.N workers gave rockets to HAMAS.
I don't know what report they were referring to though.
