Are you ready for another fake final roster? Also, the person who 'leaked' this claimed he 'forgot' to put in Wario. lol.

Ridley I can accept, but Anthony? That's a bit out of left field.

Supposing Lucina opened the floodgates for the possibility of clones, who else could you guys see included in a similar fashion? Pittoo for sure..
I'd love to see Medusa as a Palutena clone. Kinda hard to imagine how that would go when Palutena has so many special moves, but still!

Speaking of KI, man, I really hope Pit or Palutena get some kind of Codec-style conversational taunt. Hopefully with Viridi pitching in. Uprising's dialogue is amazing, and hearing the cast sound off about all the different characters in Smash would be brilliant.

I'm really not a fan of the idea of Dark Pit being his own character, even as a similar clone. Palette swap characters oversteps a line I'm not really okay with being crossed. At the very least Doctor Mario had a doctor's coat and no hat. Dark Pit literally started out life as a palette swap of Pit. A singular costume with his own voice and name? Sure, whatever. But not full character. I mean, he'd have to have his own palette swaps, and when you've started down the path of having to differentiate the palette swaps of two separate characters to make sure they aren't identical... man, I don't know. Puts a bad taste in my mouth.

Medusa for Palutena and Birdo for Yoshi would probably be the only ones I'd like to see - Dixie and Impa have enough material for unique movesets that it would be a shame to relegate them to clone status.

Medusa and Birdo should be their own characters, if anything. Birdo spits eggs out of her mouth -- eggs other players could ride as platforms, and pluck up to throw -- and Medusa could have a variety of enemy-conjuring and petrifying attacks that turn enemies to stone. You'd have to substantially modify other characters to "clone" them.

Gonna disagree on Dark Pit, but Impa (cloned from Shiek), Galacta Knight (cloned from Meta Knight), Pauline (as a DK character cloned from Peach, but tossing barrels and springs instead) would all be cool in my book.

People like to talk about Smash asses it seems.

Well okay.

People seem to ignore Wolf's ass. Just because he doesn't flaunt it on screen doesn't mean he doesn't have a fine one!

Since they gave her a line in the trailer for no apparent reason, I wouldn't be surprised if she was included in the Kid Icarus codecs that are obviously happening.

Also, perhaps Medusa could be differentiated by having a different setup of default moves alongside the normal clone tweaks, which would make her play completely differently in online / customisation-disabled settings?

Would Galacta Knight as clone even work? He uses a lance, no? Because that weapon doesn't lend itself particularly well to the sword slashing that Meta Knight applies.

You'd think that, but all his moves in the games are just souped up versions of Meta Knight's. He's got some additional tricks too, but nothing that makes explicit use of the lance as a... lance.

edit: Meta Knight as a boss, I should add. Not playable Meta Knight. It's a pretty stumpy lance, so it could probably translate pretty easily. The only thing that really comes to mind as not fitting at all is his jab combo.

Dixie: Would essentially be the "Falco" of Diddy Kong, higher jumps, but some different quirks.
Plusle & Minun: The Ice Climbers version of Pikachu/Pichu.
Toon Zelda: Could bring to the table what Toon Link did to Link, maybe have some unique moves, I donno.
Tetra: Just seems right, y'know?
Roy: Already appeared in Melee.
Dr. Mario: Already appeared in Melee.
Bowser Jr.: The size difference would allow for some fun.

And 2 Golden Sun characters isn't? Especially considering how minor Garet is in the grand scheme of things - Jenna seems like a much more likely Mars adept choice than him, or one of the villains from Prox.

The only other acceptable choice.

I mean't as a second playable GS character in Smash.

Ah. Well, I would disagree there, simply because Felix and Isaac are really similar. Both are Venus adepts, both use swords as weapons... Same goes for Matthew, too. Jenna or a villain seems to have more warranty as a second Golden Sun character
as if that would ever happen, let's not kid ourselves here
.

An Anthony Higgins trailer would have to begin with Samus battling Ridley, only to have Anthony Higgins kill it before the dragon got a splash screen.

is there literally anyone who actually would want to see anthony higgins in a smash game

Adventure_Island_Master_Higgins.png

Higgins, you say?

But for real, I'd love to have Anthony Higgs in as a Samus alt. Only downside is that he's taller than Samus. Good 'ol 7 foot tall Samus.
Seriously, Other M's terrible in terms of trying to make Samus seem weak. I didn't mind Anthony himself, though; if they need characters in another Metroid, I'd be down for him.

Didn't stop Marth and Roy.
Marth and Lucina now but you get the idea.

Though at best it would be this.

Medusa has a ton of potential as an unique character that I wouldn't want her to be a clone. Her standard B could be shooting lasers from her eyes and if charged enough temporary petrification. Up b could be a standard teleport. Side B she could lob those homing energy balls. Down b could be a fake out move where she blocks and retaliated back. Her standard attacks could have her using her staff, dark magic powered hits and the snakes in her hair. Her final smash she could remove her head and become her one eyed form with her snakes in her hair attacking wild and her flying around stage launching mega lasers.

Gonna disagree on Dark Pit, but Impa (cloned from Shiek), Galacta Knight (cloned from Meta Knight), Pauline (as a DK character cloned from Peach, but tossing barrels and springs instead) would all be cool in my book.
Impa has a lot more potential outside of just a clone. She is seen with a blade in OoT and uses lots of weaponry in Hyrule Warriors. She is the shadow sage in OoT and is a sage in ALBW as well which could pull some influence on her moves. She could have something similar to Sheik's recovery but she throws down a deku nut before she disappears stunning those in the area. Her down B could be that magic shield she uses to protect Zelda from Ghirahim in SS. Her side special could be a side sweeping attack where she dashes quickly across the stage with a blade out similar to Fox's just not quite as fast or large of a range but with more power.

Anthony Higgs is a generic space marine. Why would anyone remember him?

Reasons why Anthony Higgs is being remembered:
- He was in Other M's initial trailer.
- He spawned one of the quotes the game is most recognized for, which in turn became an internet meme.
- He is one of the few characters in Other M to actually survive the ordeal (which is something to hold in his favor).

He's a generic space marine, yes, but he's one of the very few named Metroid characters that actually would make some degree of sense in Smash, particularly because Metroid doesn't have many character options beyond Samus and Ridley. And that includes the hunters from Prime 3 and Hunters. Anthony might've been spawned from the infamously worst Metroid game, but he made enough of an impact to be considered a memorable character. Circumstances of how he acquired that fame aside.

Anthony Higgs is a minor character from a horrible game that sold like shit.

I seriously cannot comprehend how anyone could want him.
