Not if there is a ton of aliasing.

Ryse, Forza Horizon, and Infamous have great IQ on consoles.

As others have said, any PC game on good hardware.

I'm glad Nintendo opted for reasonable post-AA solutions given the hardware they're working with but this hardly qualifies as amazing IQ unless all you've ever played on was PS360.

I'm getting way, way more interested in image quality now than I thought I would have. I spent big on a gaming monitor just to I can play older stuff at 1440p/120fps. Also screw FXAA.

Think you mean great art or aesthetics. Nintendo games are still filled with aliasing, low res textures and other artifacts but still manage to look good. I wouldn't call that good iq though.

Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles is about one of the only Wii games that don't look like blurry arse on my set. Even its own sequel doesn't pull off the same trick of being a Wii game that has sharp looking graphics.

and in retrospect, an awful lot of PS2 games were great in this regard. The power of 60 FPS, eh?

To continue the trend of Wii U games, Mario Kart 8 (single player) in motion has absolutely stunning IQ. It took Nintendo a while to get to the HD-era, but even as a gamer with a fairly powerful gaming PC I'm impressed by how damn clean that game looks.

For example Wipeout2048, Killzone Mercenary, Tearaway.

I think the image quality in these games is even better than in Ps4 games like Infamous: Second Son.

SM3DWorld is not sub-HD though.

2D and isometric views always have achieved better IQ on most systems as its easier to do. Same with racing games on fixed circuits.

Heck some 2D games and non camera control stuff has gone super-sampled higher than 1080p this next gen...still not impressive...

If user had camera control in third person = different ball game.

Impressive is a first person or third person view where user has camera control, and even more impressive if its open world.

As such not seen anything close to infamous SS on console. Yet.
