Chris' face in a few pics kinda looks like the Darkside model which was more edited towards RE5's.

She was worth the money. I think it's the eyes that really made that Jill stand out.

SO, I have never played the classic RE's... despite having owned them for years. I planned to finally bite the bullet and plunge into a month long playthrough of them and stream it on Twitch, with REmake being later (playing it release order). But with this announced... should I not? I own both the Gamecube and the Wii release.

This is weird. I just checked out Julia Voth's wikipedia page (still fucking gorgeous this woman) and apparently she starred in a web series produced by IGN in which she played... Jill Valentine. This was less than two years ago and I had never heard of it. Was anybody aware of this ? Here's her discussing the thing along with some footage.
Also, I found out that she was born in 1985. This means she was between 15 to 17 years old when she was contracted by Capcom to lend her face to the character. This makes it a little creepy considering they jacked her with a massive pair of juggling tits. :/

For me, it looks like all the dolphin shots have a blurry filter applied to the picture. It is almost impossible to see the details on the close up picture of the zombie. Yes some of the remake shots have a little bit too high contract, but that is a minor detail they still have time to work out

I just can't understand why in the world you would work on a game for years and then throw away the original assets afterwards. I mean really, how hard would it be to back that shit up for later use? Especially when it's fucking Capcom. They the developer I think of MOST when it comes to re-releasing shit.
If you've been paying any attention at all to Capcom and their "test games," you'll know the most we MIGHT get if this sells well is a RE0 port in the same vein. That's all.

This is great and all but please Capcom, put an option to turn off the filter and another option to skip the opening door animation.
Next to the computer, is that a Gamecube for the MO Disk, right? I thought they were going to remove or replace them, but reading this thread I think they can't...

I'm not too happy about the heavily filtered backgrounds, I obviously would've preferred rerendered ones but I guess that just wasn't in the cards, but it'll probably still end up being the superior way to play the game on HD TVs at least. The redone models and lighting are just a nice bonus.
Plus this'll make it easier for someone to mod the PC version to do some touching up on those backgrounds someday? I guess that's a plus

I think the darker one looks better, although it's a bit too dark in places, the other one just looks washed out. I just showed the gif to my girlfriend, and asked which one she likes more, and the answer was the darker one. She thought the other one looked fuzzy.
Went ahead and made these.
The remaster definitely looks better.
