HNNNNGGGNNN THAT'S AMAZING. I love that Mega Man's getting promoted like that. God, I wish I was in Japan right now to see that in person. When I was there earlier this year, the coolest game ad they had everywhere was for Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster. Which was pretty damn great, to be fair, but this...
It's nice that Megs is getting so much attention considering this is probably the last video game he's ever gonna be in.
How dare you.
I believe. Smash is the beginning of his revival!
God damn.
Can someone just mail me the signage here when the game has been released so I can frame it or something? The Megaman fan in me is bouncing off the walls at how cool this is and how much of a dream come true Megaman in Smash is.
Right? Couldn't have said it better myself. Even more than a year later, I still get giddy whenever I think about or see Mega Man in Smash... it really is a dream come true, like you said! Also, +1 for mailing me signage. Thanks SmashGAF!
Jesus. If merely existing in Brawl was enough of an excuse for Sakurai to make his own KI game, I hope somebody inside Nintendo uses this hype as their own excuse to make a mega man collaboration happen.
I don't care what format. Sidescroller or 3rd person interpretation from Retro. Absolutely any interpretation by EAD Tokyo. Intelligent systems putting off everything else for a 2d mega man metroidvania. Alpha Dream or IS making the first good mega man rpg since whenever battle network jumped the shark. Platinum games getting desperate enough to sign up to make another game with Nintendo and doing a Stylish Megabusting game in some kind of bewildering 3-way collaboration that we'd all swear was an april fool's joke posted in the wrong month.
I hate that smash threads gut the rational part of my brain.
I would be perfectly happy with any of those options. I'd also be perfectly satisfied with something a little more realistic, like an X9 done in the style of X8 (minus the 3D stages) or the SNES trilogy, or a new Battle Network or Star Force title on the 3DS.
Actually, Star Force 4 on the 3DS could be REALLY cool. Star Force 3 was great and really where the series found its groove, and the behind-the-back battles could look really sweet in stereoscopic 3D!
