So did anyone ever hit "Y" to see the weapon set screen?

edit:
for the love of all that is holy, I must know about the player customization options in this game, my mind has run wild with speculation

Yeah I saw it a few times. The starting weapon sets were something like: smg, plasma rifle or magum (can't remember for sure about magnum) w/ different grenade options

I said it in one of the three active Halo threads (lol), but my only concern about the weapon sets is the possibility of spawning with plasma grenades in BTB. I hope they have tailored weapon sets for each map / mode.

At anyone who has played h2a hands on, or even stinkles if I'm lucky.

Do you think there is enough change in the h2a engine that we will see a clear dichotomy between people who are happy to switch between h2a and h2 when going from say sanc to midship/beaver creek? Or will old players just completely stick to the old maps? I guess the lack of double shotting on the h2a engine will be an issue for a lot of people.

In short. This looks gorgeous but the fact not all the mlg maps are being remade has me worried that I won't be able to play them much.

This was more of a worry for me before all the promising news about halo 5, as before that I was assuming any old halo fans would just stick to mcc if we had another h4 on our hands.

In current playtests those are simply buggy UI screens. There will be a ton of options but there will also be EQUAL STARTS IN HALO 2 ANNIVERSARY.

Frankie,

A neogaf user – so obviously 100% trustworthy, reliable, and good with facts – said you like to misdirect us. Are you misdirecting us now??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Not sure what you mean. Folks who prefer old school h2 maps and gameplay will play that in the original mp engine, at increased fidelity and frame rate.

No one is going to choose to spawn with plasma rifles, they are terrible in nearly every halo game and used as a backup weapon when you run out of ammo for anything else.

remove loadouts.

ah good, but will this be random in matchmaking or can we pick a playlist to avoid loadouts completely?

I am.

Those 60 FPS videos from yesterday of Delta Halo and Sanctuary are absolutely mind blowing.

I'm Hoping MCC gets a preloading option so I can play at midnight on 11/11

How many playlists will have weapon sets/loadouts and is there a gametype that is BR/CC/AR like MAG/SMG/PR ?

Hardly even that at least for my case. It counts very , very low percentage of my deaths and kills.

Get rid of grenade indicators while you're at it, please.
And hit markers.

But honestly, you know Halo has a brighter future ahead when all we can find to complain about are hit markers, grenade indicators, and mildly offensive loadouts.

The point I'm trying to make is that by not remaking all classic maps in the h2a engine. It's arguably pushing the issue that on a competitive playlist, h2a remake maps may well not appear in the playlist at all. Which in turn might put a lower ceiling on introducing newcomers to the classic halo 2 4v4 gametypes and maps. Maybe I'm being a little cynical thinking that people new to halo (in its original pre-reach form) won't fall in love with what I'm assuming will be something identical looking to halo 2 vista. But one would assume that it would impact the conversion rate.

Obviously I'm in a position where I have no idea how playlists will be implemented. I also live in a fantasy world where one of MCC main objectives is to slowly ingratiate the newer generation of shooter fans into the glorious depths of vanilla old school halo. A lubrication period if you will...before Halo 5 drops bombs and tells the new generation whats up and that Halo is truly back.
