The Order 1886 Gamescom Gameplay Trailer

Hot damn; this is practically out of a CG film. One more to get for 2015.

I just wish this wasn't a werewolf game. They are like the bastard step child of any good supernatural presence. Maybe a side enemy or a pawn they work but not as a big focus. Wish they go crazy with the supernatural though...

They already have =)

I need to see much more before agreeing with that statement.I am more along the lines of "They are working on it." Assuming you are talking about UC4 yes it looks amazing. If they are going through the same meticulous rendering of every single material that RAD is and can still hit 60fps that will be nothing short of amazing.

I think it looks utterly dull and the only distinctive element is the world and graphics. And I even feel inFamous' graphics are better than this.

I agree, if the game really looks like that specific part, then god damn i can't wait to play this ! I'm still gonna get it anyway, the game looks like a blast !!! those graphics are SICK ! I replayed this part like 20 times in absolute amazement !

I showed this game to a friend yesterday and he was blown away by the presentation. I wish it had solid multiplayer like Gears. This game screams multiplayer fun !!

Have the devs said how long the game is supposed to be, and if there is any replay ability? Given that this is SP only, wonder if there are alternate paths, or unlocks.

I know this isn't a popular opinion but I REALLY feel like this game has potential in the multiplayer realm if they went for it.

A solid 4 v 4 GoW style multiplayer with this setting would be a huge hit I think. It has to potential to increase the perceived value of the game as well. I feel like mainstream audiences will forgive a little bit of blandness in the SP if there is a solid MP as well (feels like you got your moneys worth).

That said, I'm hopeful for this game. Looks good, sounds good, hope it plays good.

Damn, i love my great looking tpshooters, but this looks insane. Hopefully there will be large portions without cutscenes. Amazing atmosphere and character models/ faces. Great use of color too.

Truth is, if it wasn't for the "cinematic" background we all know, this would be the most anticipated game right now.

But with everybody repeating like parrots the same stupid stuff, it's quite difficult to get hyped...

You have to bear in mind that Werewolves are generally shown as stupid thick "brute" animals however they have already shown that they are intelligent in this game, they have brawn and brains and can definitely hold their own game.

Played it today for 20 Minutes :P
(should be only ~10 minutes, at first).

Looks damn damn good. Best looking game this gen, together with DRIVECLUB.
Plays a bit like Uncharted, which is a mighty compliment. Atmosphere, design, etc. stands out. Really good job, Ready at Dawn.
Only issue with this unfinished build.
You're shooting 5 bullets into an enemy (far away) but he doesn't get hit (hit detection way off). But hey, this was an early alpha :)

Does it? It looks closer to The Last of Us to me. Intentionally heavier than something like Uncharted.

Was it the same as the demo from E3? It seems like they've improved some of thise specific issues since then in this trailer.

Which section are they demoing?

I hope this are not 5 bullets to the freaking head, I mean if that is why teh comparison to Uncharte is being made then this will not be my cup of tea gunplay wise, bulletsponges is a really bad sign.

They have the gore in place, shit just copy the TLOU gunplay and be done with it and watch the game getting 100 GOTY awards.

Fuck, this must be because is on an unfinished build like you say.

In what way?

I own and have played infamous extensively and just..... no.

I think the facial capture and animation looks miles better in inFamous and just something about the way people and the environment is rendered in it just looks way better.

I would have to look for a while longer to pinpoint it, but SuckerPunch have got some amazing lighting going on in their engine, even if the geometry can't be quite as dense due to it's open-world nature.

Haha intense man. The gameplay looks dull though but I'm in it for the story.

Yeah, well it's certainly one of the only things you could want to play the game for, because there's plenty of other serviceable third person shooters out there. It's either that, the graphics or the world.

And having seen Bloodborne, if you want the exciting Victorian setting, I'd probably go for the RPG that let's you explore it's awesome world.

Well, the section I've played was more action-orientated, which is why I have mentioned Uncharted instead of The Last of Us. (But of course we have seen some sneaking segments already)

Which section are they demoing?

This
It was the same built as in the IGN video here.

Is that the case with iron sights? Or were you hip firing?
Just aiming normally with this weapon, which is some kind of a Gatling Gun.

Umm Bundy the pellets of that weapon does no damage, you have to use the alt fire to do damage. :p

I dont know why people are not finding both gameplays interesting, but I'm crazy to play The Order and Quantum Break! The action seems relly great to me, and the visuals are masterpiece!

Thanks for the response that is the same section they had on demo at E3. They really are keeping this close to their chests. At least they showed a ton of new stuff and glad I'm not the only one who noticed the sneaking segment. Really cannot wait.

From what we have seen I would still say that the Orders animations are better than those in infamous while their actual graphics are a huge step up from those in infamous which is saying something as Infamous is still one of the three best looking games on the PS4.

I'm hard pressed to remember seeing anything like this ever outside of a cutscene.

As for the Bloodborne comment yea I'm getting that one day 1 also but it seems to be a more fantastical Victorian London while the Orders London seems a bit more grounded even with the steampunk element included. Both look amazing I am most impressed with the tendril monster from bloodborne once I noticed all of them moved independently and bounced when his hands hit the ground holy shit batman.

Edit Found it
ilLKYxv3x4Bge.gif

more fantasy based

I have to admit when I first got PS4 and XB1 I was questioning their power this newest batch of games is greatly exceeding my expectations.

looks pretty good. some people are going to eat crow. as far as i'm concerned, ghost of sparta was better than gow3. better story, better weapons, better puzzles, better dialogue.

Looks like Sir Francis Galton is in the game too. Galahad asks for a "Sonar payload drop" and the airship responds with "Galton deployment in 3…2…"

Sir Francis Galton invented the Galton whistle (Dog whistle). Half breeds -> Werewolves -> Wolves -> Dogs.

Hmmm...

Still waiting for Jack the ripper.

God DAMN. Just watched the Gamersyde trailer, looks unbelievably good. Not convinced on the gameplay yet but I'll keep an eye on it.

If anything I'm buying this game just because it has gore...I love games with gore and wish more of the FPS shooter games had it. I liked CoD WaW because it had gore.
