Nice! Haven't played the series since MGS2. May finally get to enjoy the games again.
VR. What would $1000 get you? Just curious because I spent close to that amount not long ago
this is correct. You can't base your PC port expectations on how Rising was ported.
Different engine and different dev team.
Now modders just have to get Hayter to do the VA for Snake and they can replace Sutherland themselves.![]()
edit - Just saw people said this already on the first page lol.
It's baffling how little talking Big Boss does in this game. What's the point of hiring a big Hollywood voice actor if he's too expensive to have say very much?
Even if fans somehow get a Hayter voice track to mod into the game, he'll barely have any fucking lines to say.
And there goes my only reason right now to get a PS4. Final Fantasy and Silent Hills next to be confirmed?
Ugh, I want to be playing Ground Zeroes now. Konami please.
Hopefully they talk more about the PC version before gamescom ends and don't leave it at "soon" for 7 months like they did with Revengence as JaseC mentioned.
Revengeance is a completely different case since it was being handled by PlatinumGames themselves and not KojimaProductions.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 is running on FOX Engine as well and is being released worldwide on the same date. I assume that TPP will be released simultaneously, too, and that Ground Zeroes will come to PC early spring 2015.
This reminds me that I bought a PS3 for MGS4. (Well, for MGS4 and the promise of future exclusives, but the initial game I got with it was MGS4)

I bought for Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, but MGS 4 was second on the list![]()
Silent Hills was confirmed for PC too?
Right, was just making sure is all.Not confirmed for any platform yet (except PS4 which pretty obvious) but I hope it's coming to PC too. If MGS 5 is, I don't see why Silent Hills will not.
I bought a PS3 for Metal Gear Solid 4 and the promise of The Last Guardian and Final Fantasy versus XIII.
... then I ended up disliking MGS4...
so like 2 people can buy it? whats the point. and it's 99% will be with delay after console versions release.
What was this guy thinking? What was he defending? This game was not a PS4 exclusive so why the hostility towards PC getting the game? Because it would look & play better than on consoles?
I don't understand. Why do you even post such thing. It makes no sense. MGS2 was officially released on the PC. MGS1 as well.
I feel this way as well. As odd as it is, I might prefer having a "trainer" game in this instance? I mean, I don't want the experience of The Phantom Pain being all muddied up by the typical assessment and readjustment process of learning a new game that extends past what tutorials usually cover. If I'm already adjusted to the flow and particulars of MGS5, I feel like I'll have a better time with The Phantom Pain. It's also true of figuring out what the best graphics settings for my computer and preferences are without being in the middle of a story campaign. GZ should really pave the way for full immersion and engagement.I'm going to have to put down an uncomfortable amount of money on GZ.
Um yeeeeaahhhh... that's not how PC gaming works anymore.Because the game now has to be developed with dozens of videocards in mind optimization will be ruined and the PS4 version will suffer, along with the game as a whole. Shame that selfish PC gamers are so happy about hurting the quality of the game, enjoy I guess.
My biggest worry is whether it will be a good PC version. I'm fed up with likes of AC4 and Watch Dogs. As per default, you can't go completely wrong with the PS4 version. My PC isn't bad, but still think my PS4 is slightly more powerful, so will probably get it on there unless there are any amazing PC exclusive features.

Such butthurt.
Firstly, the game was already being developed for multi platforms, if anything will 'harm' the PS4 version it'll be the fact that it's crossgen with PS3 and 360 versions.
The PC version will be the definitive version of the game and better than any optimised PS4 version could ever be, if anything its existence will help bump up the quality of all versions.
You're upset because the PS4 won't be the best version anymore and venting like a sulking kid, it's so obvious.
