Keep that shit 2d, with Rayman quality sprites...include american indy wrestlers..i know im dreaming but gotdamn! :-O
Why not download saves for Returns? The community actually has 2014 rosters of WWE and all of Japan's major promotions.

Next time you're on, add me. My GT is MasterFox187. We're always looking for decent guys to play with, instead of douchebags.
I'd say the PS2 stuff was better. The more Yuke's has tried to slow it down and make it more realistic, the worse their games have ended up looking. They're terrible at simulation.Yep. Character models look AMAZING, but the ludicrously stiff standing/walking animations and terrible transitions between moves is just.... eugh, it's genuinely PS2 quality. So is the collision detection (punches gliding through opponent because he's busy climbing into the ring). I stopped playing last gen because their animation system was ancient, but this is beyond ridiculous now.
I just need to know if Stardust is in it...
...seriously.
You'll find out in less than 3 days...

Shut Your Mouth (2002) ladder match
WWE 12' ladder match
Which match was more fun? Which was less clunky?

I'm glad I never had faith of them making the game fun to play. HCTP days are long gone.
I guess it is kind of funny the game quality took a nosedive right alongside the TV product.
This is the most immersive WWE game in history, boasts a press release issued by game developer Yukes, making players feel like they are actually being annoyed by dimwits at a live WWE event.
The digital fans in the game, many of whom are wearing ratty old nWo shirts, seem oblivious to the fact that CM Punk has not been seen in WWE for eight months and has insisted that he will never return.
Other new features intended to enhance the realism of the game include:
Obstructed views due to fans holding misspelled signs in front of the camera
Commercial breaks in the middle of matches
Other annoying chants, such as Goldberg (during Ryback matches) and What?!
Non-stop jabber about the WWE App and WWE Network (Its only $9.99″by commentator Michael Cole
Every playing session begins with a 15-minute in-ring promo by Triple-H
Feel free to point out where I mentioned anything as stupid as pulling out a rocket launcher. I'll wait.
Dick Justice said:IGN sucking off the game as usual. This sounds like utter shit, continuing to go down the "sim" route at the expense of actual fun. Playing Here Comes The Pain again for 15 minutes on PCSX2 gave me more fun than all of the most recent games combined.
Sorry to keep you waiting. Well, given your post was ....
...I filled in the blanks, which pretty much meant I ignored all of it. Needless IGN hate, then hyperbole, then unexplained statement. Plenty of substance there.
Why did you have more fun with HCTP than "all of the most recent games combined" for example? Why can't a sim be fun?

Edit: Orton using the ropes to get back up looked fantastic. Good animation to that. The NEW animations look good. Too bad they are mixed in with the old shit.

Orton getting up via the ropes looks good, but other times it looks like he's running in slow motion. When he transitions to bounce off the far ropes it looks like a GTAIV animation.
Also, only punches... which sure, that's probably the skill of the players, but for me, It hink it also says something about the controls and gameplay when all people can do when they pick it up is land big hay makers and do running attacks.

I wonder what IGN will be first with now?
I guess direct feed gameplay?

There's Pro Wrestling X to look forward to (its Kickstarter is funded by now), which'll be heading to PC / Steam and the devs are aiming to make it quite flexible in terms of mod support. Some indie dev has to rise up and make an AKI style wrasslin game. I was optimistic about 2K15 but after seeing that gameplay im out.

I haven't played a WWE game in years, probably not since the PS2 games (maybe one early on in the 360 lifespan, I forget), but I have a question.
Is it still always just a fighting game at it's base level? Or have the actually ever tried to make a wrestling game that focuses on putting on a good match and being rated for it? I remember years ago there was Giant Gram on Dreamcast where you were scored based on how well the match was received by the crowd, with bonuses for high spots done at the right moment, letting the matches ebb and flow back and forth to build momentum for big finishes, etc.
These games turn me off so much because I feel like it's just a different version of Tekken/Street Fighter/Soul Calibur/etc, meaning "beat up the other guy til his health bar goes down and your meter goes up, do special move, win".
Guess they won't separate the players by brand anymore now that the titles are "unified" right?
HHope I have the option to make it 1 belt instead of 2,and I hate the way Cena comes out with his like it's an apron. That needs to not be in the game.
Saw on another forum someone mention OMG! moments that happen in ring. Two examples were Cesaro Swing and the Apron Superplex. Apparently you need to be at a set level of stamina to complete these.
It's been in development 11 years, and taken people's funding money over and over with nothing to show.
