Schrodinger's cat my friend, until something is disproven or proven, it may both be and not be. I did not claim that the Manager did call the police. Nor did I claim he did not. Therefore he both may have and may not have. If you want to claim he did not, then the onus of proof is on you. I made no claim, either positive or negative.

lol, it doesn't work that way.

You're the one who came in and brought up this possibility that the manager may have been involved. You're the one who continues to argue for this possibility, when everyone else in the thread knows full well it is irrelevant.

You don't get to make an unsubstantiated claim and then ask everyone else to provide proof to refute it.

I think people are misreading my posts. I am as anti-authoritarian police as can be. I am more fair administration of justice for both sides, not roasting one side over the spit of public conscience and ignoring the possibly follies of another. Not that the reporters did anything wrong. I do not know. But to say they did not without all the facts and completely ignore one side's claims because they are contributory in fault? That I cannot abide.

Did the police mess up? Yes, they did, and if I were barred in Missouri I would be the first in the court. Did the reporters mess up? I do not know. There is not enough evidence for me, or anyone, to say.

"A good reason to believe" is not the same as "objectively true".

Uh huh.

I think you may need to call in Rosco to help you get out of this jam.

What exactly were you guys expecting him to do or say?

Exactly what he said. I had him at 0% change of saying anything meaningful.

I expect his approval ratings to drop with the black community and pretty much anyone who is still supporting him. Dude is an epic failure.

Once more, I did not make a claim. I do not know whether the reporters were trespassing. They probably were not trespassing and the police screwed up. I have said as much. But just because the police probably screwed up does not mean I can dismiss with absolute certainty the possibility that the reporters also screwed up or that the regional manager complained. That is exactly how logic works.

Now shit really hits the fan

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/08/15/us/ferguson-missouri-police-shooting.html

Earlier Thursday, a group identifying itself as Anonymous, the computer hacking collective, disclosed what it said was the name of the police officer who shot the teenager on Saturday.

Writing on Twitter, the group said it would publish additional information about the officer — including his photograph — if it did not receive a response from the St. Louis County Police Department

The name of the officer released by Anonymous could not be immediately confirmed. The St. Louis County police, however, said on Twitter that the name released by Anonymous was “not even an officer with St. Louis County or Ferguson.” Calls to the Ferguson and the St. Louis County police were not returned Thursday.

What exactly were you guys expecting him to do or say?

All I wanted was to hear him talk about action, not ideals. Just a few sentences about what he thinks should happen or what course of action the gov. might take. Maybe just a basic idea of where the discussion about this kind of situation should go? It's pointless for im to come out and tell us that things should be better.

HEALING TIME!

Just. Walk. Away.

You can't be this tone deaf, surely?

Dude, stop. You're seriously like a razors edge from being banned.

Edit: Nope, too late.

Nope. Again, here's what you said:

The news articles I have been reading stated the reason for the initial detention was a failure to identify, and the final charge was trespass. I would argue the initial detention was valid, and there was good reason to believe there was criminal trespass. McDonalds is not a place you can set up your own personal business.

Try again.

It's been noted that the name is probably bullshit. Others Anons have stated that the person running that twitter released the name without even checking the source, as the accountholder believed that even if the name proved to be speculative/incorrect, they could just blame the "source" for whatever transpired.

Basically, it's probably bullshit.

Man, im not even liking but Polygon (that Polygon) made an article about this shit and pretty much used it as an oportunity to pitch a brand of cameras as the sole permanent solution to this, they even spoke with the CEO of the camera maker. Also the narrative of " We wont ever know what happened".

What a piece of shit waste of a site.

Whoooooooo gives a shit?

He's said much more inflammatory stuff about gun nuts following the Newtown shootings anyway. If he cannot take a stance on anything for fear of reprisal from the right then he needs to shut the fuck up.

Did you put this in your post? When I click it I get a number pad.... O.o

Add to that the Twitter suspended the account who released the name and photos.

Anonymous are such a fucking sideshow. If they even turn up anything worthwhile, I'll wait until some adults run with it, thanks.

So what happens now with all of this?

Protests continue rightfully. The police are stripped of their authority for the time being. The investigation results are publicized. Police chief and some officers lose their jobs. Town calms down eventually as things return to normal.

Speaking of proof;

Prove to me, here and now, the regional manager did not call to complain about the journalists. If such proof exists, I am more than happy to eat crow.

Now you're just getting ridiculous, in a couple more pages it'll be
"What about Ronald McDonald? Perhaps he called Mayor McCheese, and Officer Big Mac ordered the arrest."

Well, you're banned, so you have plenty of time to work on your future Missouri cases, I suppose.

Obama: "I know I lecture other governments on violating the rights of protesters and repressing freedom of press... but this is America; and we're exceptional."

Your misapplication of physics is almost as bad as your disguisal of victim blaming as being "open minded" to both sides.

You were so keen to show off your knowledge of law yet you don't know that the burden of proof lies with the accuser?

You don't get to make an unsubstantiated claim and then ask everyone else to provide proof to refute it.

Read this over and over again^
