Hey, how'd you know Mother 3 was secretly installed on every Smash 3DS XL?
I majored in journalism with a minor in English and a concentration in advertising. I nearly started PR for a law firm but instead went for news reporting. I've been reporting five years now. Pay is nothing special, but it's enough to be comfortable and enough to invest in the future. The real satisfaction comes from helping all kinds of people and getting reader feedback. You pick your own assignments, and set your own schedule. You accumulate a vast body of work to remember what you did each day. You win awards from your peers. And it never gets old seeing your stories laid out in the paper and your byline on each one. My motto is "engage, empower, educate and inspire." I feel like each story, even a by-the-numbers crime story, has the potential for some greater takeaway that'll hopefully help someone, somewhere.
So, for all you English majors out there, maybe you'd find journalism fulfilling. Teaching might be another good application of your skills. As others have said, there are also many careers in government where good communication skills are a valued asset. Convey that in an application and you may find yourself with a new career. I've interviewed many people running businesses, charities, etc., who are English majors or something similar. Communication, organizational and leadership skills are needed in every field.
As for life in general, I think it's best to avoid thinking of life "in phases," I.E. , college, work, retirement, etc. That's way too limiting. Instead, think of life in moments. Live in the moment, find joy in each moment, and draw strength from the blessings of past moments. This is easier said than done, sometimes, but it's good to remember. Don't shadow-box with yourself, and don't beat yourself up. Everyone's different emotionally, with different emotional makeups, so there's no right or wrong way to go about things. Just strive to see the good in yourself, because there is so much good in you. And try to help others see the good in themselves. The strong should stand up for the weak, and together become stronger. Love yourself, and show love unto others.

I think the characters look great, but I do wish it didn't have the full Smash Bros. logo. Maybe just the symbol or something.
I've kind of given up hope after 2 games of me blindly asking for it, but I still think Klonoa would make an awesome Smash character, and I feel like Namco wasted a huge opportunity this time of bringing him back by "suggesting" his inclusion in the roster to Sakurai. I was playing Klonoa 2 earlier on my GBA, and man, he's a great character, his games are a great underrated mix between puzzle and platforming, his design is pretty decent and he has great moveset potential.

- Fits right in looks-wise with the Kirby characters and the Pokemon
- Appeals to the furry crowd (ok this could be a con)
- No sword or blue hair that I can see.
- His inclusion would pretty much debunk all leaks.

Oh, I meant to mention this earlier. I found out the other day that my girlfriend's roommate is the voice of Little Mac and the announcer who can't pronounce "Fils-Aime" correctly in this video. Blew my mind.

She can use the four elements: Air, Fire, Water, Earth, and Sprit in her attacks.
Her final smash can be summoning Damien, Shaunee, Erin, and Stevie Rae to complete the Circle for a Ultimate Attack.

Pokemon is a massive series, and most of that bulk is on Pichu whose just a joke clone and splitting up Pokemon Trainer's Pokemon into individual Pokemon, so it's not really as crazy as it seems.

This is really what I want most. Having Mewtwo back is all I need for Pokémon and I'm set until the next Smash game. A wide variety of Pokémon types are represented here as well, which I think is an important part of Pokémon representation we often overlook.

Always blows my mind when people think the current Pokemon + Jiggs and Mewtwo would be too many Pokemon.
We're all aware of how many Pokemon were playable in Brawl, right? Six. There were six. That's how many there would be if the above scenario happened.
Honestly I'm more shocked Squirtle and Ivysaur got the axe. I think those two returning alongside Mewtwo and Jiggs would be near perfect for Pokemon. With a roster of 700-odd Pokemon, I think eight would be a fine amount. Especially when 7/8 of them are veterans. I think reps from other gens (2, 3, 5) would be nice, but all Pokemon vets minus Pichu plus Greninja would be rad.

The music seems fine, not really my cup of tea, but the tech behind the holograms is really cool to me.
I'm also sitting in LA and taking a break from a project (digital art, not music though). I know it's LA so I shouldn't be surprised when people say they're living here, but always cool to see another LA-er in SmashGAF!

Looking at that roster with every Smash Character ever, I can't help but wonder why Toon Link isn't just called Young Link and had the character carry on into the future, rather than making a near identical character and bothering to make a name distinction between them, despite Toon Link easily able to be called "Young Link"
