It's still amazing to me that in my community, who has an entire history of bullshit and prejudice, my fellow black brothers and sisters (well most of them at least, got a few knuckleheads) hold no genuine ill-will towards white folk. More or less pitying them instead.

Really puts things in perspective.

Mmmm facebook comments.

Obama is 0-2. He opens his STUPID mouth, BEFORE he has any facts about the case. Both Travon, and Brown are THUGS. Brown ROOBBED a store that is captured on video, STEALING CIGARS. He was a hoodlum, just like Travon. Holder sends his "people" to protect the TRUTH from coming out, JUST like the Travon case. There a lot of similarities, a STUPID president, and attorney general who BOTH belong in Leavonworth, blacks rioting over two THUGS. You can't fix STUPID. The black race is VOTING ONLY by the COLOR of their skin, and that is STUPID and RACIST. Semper Fi

Did a search and a scroll through the last 5 or 6 pages, so apologies if I missed this, but this protest in Philadelphia really helps underline one of the core issues at the heart of all of this: That people will go out of their way to sidestep the fact (literally) that black people are dying for no real reason other than the culture still considers them to be somewhat less than human.

When you look at those photos, you might think they were staged as a means to highlight the point of the protest/performance. But they weren't. These are people who made a conscious decision to frame out the "dead" black man so as not to ruin their tourist photos.

There are quotes as well, at the link.

What in the actual fuck?

Any merit to this? Some guy on another board I frequent posted it. Source seems super shady, and he's kind of a nutjob, so I might be answering my own question there, just curious.

This corroborates an account of the event given by a friend of Officer Darren Wilson:
Well, then Michael takes off and gets to be about 35 feet away. And, Darren’s first protocol is to pursue. So, he stands up and yells, “Freeze!” Michael and his friend turn around. And Michael taunts him… And then all the sudden he just started bumrushing him. He just started coming at him full speed. And, so he just started shooting. And, he just kept coming. And, so he really thinks he was on something.”

Finally the key bit of information we've been waiting for. Brown was trying to spear the cop who was shooting at him.

Daily Diarrhea

You believe Officer Wilson just got out of his car, ran up to Brown because he was black and began shooting him for no reason??????The officer, who is a far more credible witness than a criminal, claims he was attacked by Brown when he tried to question him. Brown reacted to the cop based on the fact that he'd just robbed a store, and was likely expected that the officer was there to arrest him for said crime, which would explain why he tried to unarm the officer and got shot in the process. God are all people this stupid? REALLLY? You really believe officer Wilson just thought to himself, "look a black guy, let me get my gun and shoot him."

don't waste your time a lot of people are ignorant and don't like the truth, even if the truth is coming to like on what really happen they just don't want to except it! they probably have had run ins with the law and didn't like the out come, here's a tip, don't like the police to be In you business don't break the law!!
*Proceeds to quote autopsy diagram*
SEE. Shot in the front! shut the fuck up dumb fucks

As someone who literally could fall over and be in LOVE Park, a metric fuckton of people visit it every day to take a picture at that sign. Nothing and nobody is going to stop them, even something like that. It's a very tone deaf thing.

I did like the protest on I believe Thursday, that started in LOVE Park and went to the Art Museum. They marched up there even when a random storm planted everybody for like an hour with rain.

Do white people really think black people run at the speed of light or something?
I'm actually rethinking my relocation in the US....It's not just the old south that I feel like I have to avoid...

I'm watching CNN and they have this ladies video that shows Wilson and another officer near the body. Browns arms are laying flat and facing towards his feet, if he had his arms up and was shot falling down wouldn't his arms be laying in an upwards direction? I honestly have NO idea that's why I'm asking if anyone else might know how that would work?

Conceivably, it could be from the cop trying to cuff him.

This. I don't understand why people keep bringing up the stolen cigars when it's irrelevant to Brown being murdered.

I mean if he's willing to steal cigarillos then clearly he's the kind of guy to run away from a cop, boast about running away from said cop then proclaiming he's going to spear the cop then run towards the cop.

That would explain their skin color.

Brown confirmed to be Black Flash.

Using occams razor I can determine that he laced the cigars with Super Solider Serum and it caused him to go insane with rage.

The sudden bumrushing sounds so ridiculous it's almost insulting

Like okay, the guy's running away, gets shot at then decides, fuck this, I'm going to run head on at the cop who's shooting at me

The two actions are just at two totally opposite spectrums of behavior. Why would someone go from fleeing in fear of getting shot to attacking the shooter with no regards to his own life, in like a second?

What in the actual fuck?

I think it's actually supposed to be a sort of satirical protest, kind of calling to light the ridiculousness of the reality by being ridiculous in itself.

It may work and it may not work. It's an interesting way to bring the subject into focus however.

EDIT: Reading some of those comments it seems it didn't work as they maybe intended it to. It's really hard to tell if some people are joking around or not, but you'd think the average person'd have enough of a conscience to feel uncomfortable to take a glamor photo w/ a dead body, let alone try and get someone on the scene to set things right.

Strictly speaking we're waiting on gun powder residue from the clothing to be sure of that. But, given there was no gunpowder residue on the skin, it seems unlikely that the cop's story of an up-close shot is true.

Dorian Johnson also claimed that the cop shot him up close. So Dorian's eyewitness account of what happened would also be damaged.

The only way it's relevant is how some are using it as an excuse to justify Brown being murdered.
Let's say Brown was white and he stole cigars....does that justify a cop murdering him?

He's still a "criminal", he still "broke the law", he still a "thug".

But switch the melanin, will it still be justified in their eyes?

Obviously not.

Murder can NEVER be justified for petty theft.

It IS insulting.

The only way that the cop could save face or be in the right during the altercation was if Brown, a college bound teen with no criminal record, suddenly decided to rush headlong into a police officer firing a gun?

The logical leap that needs to be made just to defend a white cop is astounding.

this proves my point that a PD cannot self investigate in cases of excessive force towards unarmed suspects causing death.

I hope this autopsy is enough to put that cop behind bars.

woooo hoooo box of cigerettes!!!!!!!!! it doesn't matter, when as suspect submits into surrender, no further harm should be done to him.... especially not 6 bullets total

Woahwoahwoah I thought there were reports he did have a criminal record.

Makes perfect sense, who wouldn't run toward someone who is shooting lethal projectiles at you? /s
Not that this means anything but my dad always told me to run from a knife but run towards a gun-- something to do with the effectiveness of each weapon in those scenarios. Thankfully, I've never had to act on that advice and I have no idea if the logic is sound or not.

Finally the key bit of information we've been waiting for. Brown was trying to spear the cop who was shooting at him.

A friend of the killer, yeah discredited. The guy just wants to save his friends ass. We all know the Cop executed the kid, why the fuck do people keep trying to paint this as he's innocent? There is no proof he didn't murder him. Anything you see that says he didn't is fabricated. It's not even a race issue anymore, it's a power issue. The Police are gods and can get away with murder, and there is not a damn thing you can do about it.

How is this not scary? It's horrifying. The Police are getting away with murder and fabricating evidence. We're one fucking step away from 1984 and people defend this shit. Well don't blame me when you get dragged away by the Thought Police for some stupid bs. Shit, I don't even care if you're racist you should at least be critical of the Police, and assume they're not being honest.

Never talk or trust the Police, ever. By defending the Police you are suggesting it's ok for the Police to play god and decide who lives and dies.

National guard moving. Now we really do have military on the streets!

Telling people they can't protest at QT today.

Have we reached full on martial law yet?

He's black so he probably thought he was faster than the bullets.

It wouldn't matter either way, but as far as I'm aware Brown had no criminal record.

It would in establishing character. Pretty sure his record could portray him as a violent individual, and people would try establishing that as further proof he could have rushed the cop because he has a history of that sort of thing.

Not saying it's in any way true, but it matters.

You know I was saying how OTHER people are using this to justify his murder and not me, correct?

This is kinda OT but watch was is happening in Ferguson right now.

I PROMISE you in due time the same thing will happen in Chicago. This just sets a precedent now. The National Guard will eventually come to Chicago.

Honestly, I could imagine scenarios of him running at the cop and it still being murder. If I had my hands up and was still being shot, I could imagine that I'd charge at the person as a last resort. I dunno, never been shot at. If there ends up being solid evidence that the arms were up for the first wounds, I think that's pretty much it right there, regardless of whether he later charged the officer.

(Not sure if that's legally correct, but I would certainly be on board with considering that murder from a moral standpoint if that's what happened. It's rather unreasonable to expect a person to continue obeying a law enforcement official's orders if they are currently being shot with their hands up.)

And just as equally, we can say there is no actual evidence saying he did. All just witness accounts.

I am being critical of both sides in this, because both sides are making this even more of a clusterfuck.

Never talk or trust the Police, ever.

You realize this quote is insane, right?
