so the prosecutor has full control over the evidence.

Please doMaddow just said NYTimes reporting that the DOJ is strongly considering opening up a larger Civil rights case against the Fergueson PD and looking at their overall policing tactics.

The difference between the last few nights and tonight seems to be that the peacekeepers are out in force and the protests are much more organized. Glad that they've got some leadership right now.
Now that it's a realistic option it damn well better happen.Maddow just said NYTimes reporting that the DOJ is strongly considering opening up a larger Civil rights case against the Fergueson PD and looking at their overall policing tactics.
Plus to the police credit they're hanging around the businesses out of the way, a few in the street, no wall of guns standing in a line. The difference between the last few nights and tonight seems to be that the peacekeepers are out in force and the protests are much more organized. Agreed. With a case this public, it certainly seems distasteful, but I cynically think that the prosecutor wants to simultaneously tank while shirking responsibility. At least that's what I gather based on the tweets, which may or may not be accurate.
I should add that I am skeptical of the tweets. I mean, they are basically one step removed from the prosecutor stating, "I am going to present evidence that Brown posed an immediate danger to the officer and to others. What's that? No PC? My work here is done." You don't take the defense's best hypothetical set of facts and treat them as your own. It just sounds too far-fetched, but who fucking knows in this system anymore.
Holy crap! When you don't come like you're prepared for war and everyone's your enemy, the citizens are calm and peaceful? Even helpful in taking down agitators.
Just treat people like people. That's all we want from the justice system.
Well, Brown is dead, so I doubt it's him, even though the assassination of his character will probably feature strongly in both the grand jury proceedings and any trial.About the Grand Jury: Who's being prosecuted? I'm sure that those tweets are a rumor (for my sanity's sake, I hope), but who's exactly being put on the stand here? Mike Brown or Wilson? From the sounds of it, they're going after Brown. I'm genuinely confused at the moment.
@theyoungist: The Mike Brown Express has been asked to leave #ferguson http://t.co/IibohRMPtL
.@mattdpearce: A guy is walking around telling people to "spread the word" and to demonstrate outside the grand jury tomorrow morning.

I thought one did with an "oh, definitely" but he wouldn't identify which guns had live ammo and which did not. Or was the "oh, definitely" guy not police? I was only listening at that point.Tim determined to get the police to answer his live ammunition question, not going to happen though.
Lmao, according to who, the KKK?
If a black person called me a cracker, I would probably laugh at them.
I find the word very demeaning and of a racial nature. I wouldn't want to be called that.![]()
Well thanks mom@Yamiche: Police are now saying people who don't want to move can go to a "media lot" that has been set up along West Florissant Ave
