There are a million Toads. And a million Yoshis. You just have to play Super Mario Bros to see multiple Toads and Super Mario World to see multiple Yoshis.

There are a million Toads. And a million Yoshis. You just have to play Super Mario 1 to see multiple Toads and Super Mario World to see multiple Yoshis.

There are a million Marios too, in Galaxy it says "You get another Mario". Add the cherry in 3D World and you get billions of liars.

So according to a Smash Boards mod with a Nintendo rep connect, those aren't all of the characters. They're saying it could be Mewtwo, Ridley, Dixie, Impa, and Mach Rider

Everyone turns into ducks and flap around just like Duck Hunt, and white boxes appear around them when you shoot, with the original sound effects.

And depending on how many get away, the FS ends with the dog holding up the amount of ducks you shot, or laughing at you.

Stage selection is actually part of what I find so convincing. Sakurai has to make stages for two games, so it stands to reason that some franchises will get original stages only on one of the two versions. For example, for Metroid stages, the WiiU version gets Pyrosphere (new) while the 3DS version gets Brinstar Depths (old). For F-Zero stages, it looks like the 3DS version gets a stage based on the SNES Game (new), so maybe the WiiU version will get Port Town (old). And so on. It's a good way to ensure both games have a strong number of stages without bogging down development with level creation.

Captain Toad can't for inexplicable reasons. (Probably to suit the mechanics of his levels/game.)

Also another odd omission is the bottom screen the stage select where they'd need to show a larger render of the stage. They were keen to show off their character renders but not one of a new stage?
