PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | August 2014

DBZ isn't getting free content DLC.

Sure, but I'd say it's much more of an under appreciated gem than SSD. Even though it's not exactly as good as SSD, it's blowing me away with how polished and packed to the brim with content and 'love' for the franchise.

Just booted up SSD after a long time, has the startup screen changed? I wish someone could post a guide for all the content that has been added since SSD launched in the US.

Nice to play as Kat. :)

How is The last Tinker? I like how it looks but does it play good? Cant decide if i should buy Tinker or Counterspy, Price is almost the same and i have some Cash left. So any Opinions on Tinker?

The Vita version of Counterspy is disappointing. On PS4 it's quite nice, but not sure I'd recommend it at the price. Last Tinker looks boring.. you should check out the Giant Bomb quicklook.

I got assigned Last Tinker and have only delved around with it for an hour. It plays very similarly to the Banjo Kazooie or other 3d platformers from back in the day with a neat paper craft/cardboard style. More kid friendly and accessible than Knack, but it might not be the deep experience you're looking for.

People have been saying it's not really a platformer and you don't even have a jump button, so how can it play similar to Banjo? I'm confused.

It takes those old style games and adds a lot of modern 'conventions' There's a run button that holding it down makes you auto traverse and perform parkour moves to make up for the lack of a traditional jump.

Like I said, I've only played it for about an hour (at 2 in the morning, no less) so maybe I was just asleep and dreamed I was playing Banjo Tooie instead.

Impressions from those so far have been negative, kiddy platformer and regret buying it. (although that was only a couple) I went with Counterspy instead and am enjoying what i've played of it.

Ecchi aside the artist for the game has great talent.

Been following this game for a while, hopefully it will come west. Not that much of a chance, but eh, who knows.

just looking at Nippon-Yasan and saw this...
GENKAI TOKKI MOERO CHRONICLE - LIMITED EDITION FAMITSU DX PACK

You do get 5 (five) bathroom posters... One for each wall and the ceiling?

Better be waterproof or washable, otherwise it will be useless for those who buy it.
(Not me)

Miku isn't a Sega property though so they don't have anything.

Miku is for SEGA what One Piece / Naruto is for Namco Bandai, right? They have some kind of deal for publishing games based on those brands but they don't own the IP. If somebody else wanted (and payed) there could be other Miku games, just like those Naruto 360 exclusives from Ubisoft.

Soul Sacrifice Delta keeps giving it DLC.

This game deserves more love

+1 love here. The Freedom Wars stuff was enough to push me over.

I was looking forward to Delta once upon a time, but in the end I never bought it. I think I over-played the first game (yet still one trophy away from platinum), so didn't want any more when the localization hit :/

Have no idea when I'll have a chance to play this though. Persona 4 Golden is still keeping me busy. Just found out who the culprit is, and I'm looking forward to kicking their ass!

SCE did publish Bleach games on PSP(heat souls are best bleach games, srsly) and Miku Miku Hockey and never made it outside of Japan.

What kind of game is this? Looks like a TG-16 top-down action RPG with an Obligatory-Vita-Touch-The-Womens mode

Let's say you guessed lol.
You are a blacksmith with just a year of life remaining, he needs to gain lots of money and the love of one(or more?) of the three girls.

What do you have to do to get a good star on a level in Crimsonland do you know? I got one by chance. I need to gold star everything now.

Ah that star means you took no damage if I'm not mistaken. One of the trophies requires completing normal quest with all stars - bronze (all are bronze! - £10).

Currently stuck on the hardcore level 2.10 where the spiders divide :/

Not sure if there was one in the Japanese version of DR1&2 Reloaded. But on the PSP if you had a DR1 save, in SDR2 you'd get 100 monocoins right from the start. But that was about it.
I see. Oh well. I've started the game(couldn't wait). Haven't played the first one(only watched the anime and gameplay/walkthroughs of DR1). I thought there would be a in-game extra if you had a DR1 save data :P.

Second mahouka trailer for Vita https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTy6Myhw-NI

Have no interest in the franchise but maybe it'll be a decent TPS now that bullet girls is a bust.
I'm interested in the game :D(and the anime ;) ). The gameplay looks a bit like FF:Dissidia. Only the down site is 0% chance for a western localization :(. And the gameplay(some scenes/gameplay in the trailer) looks a bit slow(like there is a lag/framedrop :/).

He says the truth. Heat The Souls games are the best Bleach games. Sony should have localized this in the west :X.

I like Infamous, will I like Prototype 2 for $10?

I hope for no censors. Gimme that AO rating

Has NISA ever NOT censored a contraversial Mature+ title? They, surprisingly, left in the doggoo part of Neptunia Mk2 that is probably singlehandedly responsible for the Mature rating, but they've got a lot of censored stuff lately. Usually not super heavy handed but still.

Doubt the original game is going to be cero Z anyway--sounds like they're shooting for Cero D/Mature, no?

Finished the Last Tinker. Took just over 5 hours. It was pretty to look at but it maintains it's basic platforming and batman style combat throughout. There's nothing broken about Tinker but there's nothing of any depth there for adults. So it wasn't worth 15 dollars. If you have kids. It might be worth it for them when it goes on sale.

Was in kind of the same spot. Absolutley loved the first one and spent so many hours in it. Couldn't wait for Delta but when it hit, I was extremly busy with university and thought I would play it later. Still not enough time now and other games I'm playing right now, but your post pushed me over the edge to buy it for the backlog.
17 Euros is a good nice price but I'm still contributing something to the development effort (bought original Day 1, so I still feel good about it).

Bought a terabyte hard drive and put it in my PS4. Super easy to take out the hard drive and swap it... incredible pain in the ass for re downloading and copying over saves. Going to take forever until I have my PS4 where it was before this process.

Guys, I need help!
I wanted to add money to my PSN account using Mastercard. And since I wanted to add a specific amount, I decided to add funds in two steps. I added 200 HRK (Croatia) and everything was fine, but when I tried to add another 70 HRK a message popped saying my credit card information is wrong. Then I deleted my billing information and tried again. But now everytime I try it says "Please enter a valid credit card number." Gaf, is there a way to fix this? I really want to play Plants vs. Zombies! :3

Whenever this pops up for me? I just go through paypal.

Man, why you gotta do this to me Flash Sale? A little while ago I got the itch to re-play the original Bioshock, but couldn't justify it at $20. Now you put Bioshock 2 and Infinite on sale for a price I would pay, but not the first game! Augh.

I already have most of this Flash Sale stuff through plus, probably pick up Graces F cause why not.

I'm building my Vita library. So I apologize in advance if this has been answered. But is Dragon's Crown worth owning? I'm hearing a lot of good things about it.

I would say yes, it is. It's a fun Brawler and the Art is amazing. I still have to finish it :(

I also decided to pass on Tinker, i will keep my Money for something else.

Stealing top post:

I hope it's just because Crimsonland is a bit "steeply priced" in EU that there isn't much talk about it.

I know US vitagaf is just anime/rpgaf :P

The top-down view with 90s PC-game artstyle does scream cheap at first. But this arcade gem has been refined over like a decade. It's an arena shooter with lots of levels, difficulties, modes and hi-scores.
Ultra sensitive to the right-stick input.

Runs very well, some slight slowdown when it gets crazy hectic but 99% of the time it's awesome. Even though the artstyle is old, there are some decent effects - it has footsteps! But also awesome blood splatter and lots of weapon effects.

It gets really cramped with all the enemies. Got to make it over to the next power-up.

A great arcade shooter, hours of fun. And then some more in the survival modes. Perfect for the Vita.
