do these games feature split-screen for online play?
Checked his post history after, he won't last long here!.
So, is there anyone who feels like HMCC will make them make the jump to next-gen?
Everyone's saying this'll be a system seller, but is this really a good reason to get into the 8th gen? To play 6th and 7th gen games with a frame-rate and resolution bump?
Don't get me wrong, I love Halo - played it to death back in the golden age (1,2 & 3) - but this feels like some kind of 'nostalgia reach-around' from MS: it might make you feel all fuzzy, but you're still getting fucked in the ass.
Is that really a reason to get into a new console though? A frame rate/resolution bump for a game we all played to death back in the day. Feels lazy as hell from MS. If I was still on the XBOX train I'd be as insulted as hell if they had shook that in front of me and said 'look what we've got for you!" Like I'm supposed to sit up on my hind legs and pant. Nah, fuck that, they're not gonna exploit my nostalgia with their cynical business model.
Of all the remasters we currently have out already and all the future ones coming, you decide to criticize the one remaster that is an amazing package for both single player gamers and multiplayer gamers.
I'm sorry but you're talking bullshit. There is no way you can criticize this package unless you have some kind of agenda which you obviously do.
I don't like old game play that feels dated. So you don't like balanced game play?
Looks absolutely beautiful. Game play looks a bit slow compared to the original Halo 2.
Didn't criticise the lack of content... more the principle of the thing. Could be the best value for money in the world, it's still basically the most anticipated title on an eighth generation console and it's essentially four games from the six and seventh gen.
TLOU Remastered looks really smooth in 60FPS/1080p. Had a play through of what is probably one of my favourite ever games and, yeah, it was good to do it again, but I wouldn't have picked up a PS4 just for that. It's really great for all the new converts who missed it on the PS3, so that kind of justifies it, but I doubt there's more than a handful of converts on the Bone. This is being targetted directed at people who already know and love the Halo franchise.
Well if thats your argument then er Halo 4?, its exaclty the same situation as with the TLOU remaster except in this case you are also getting Halo 1, 2 and 3 as well as Halo 4, 2 full 'anniversary versions as well, plus 100 mp maps.
I'm sorry but you are just not fooling anyone and the fact that this is the most anticipated game for many people on here and other game forums shows that your argument is flawed.
Yeah, you need to read my posts more closely: I said I wouldn't have picked up PS4 just for TLOU:R and I think Halo 4 is in the same boat. The only dfference is that there's a lot of PS4 owners out there who didn't have a PS3, so there's a considerable market. Whereas on the XB1 there's not very many converts at all... you see my point?

Hence why my memories of Halo 2 will remain where they are best, in my mind.
Playing Swat at 60 fps will be GLORIOUS!

There are a lot of drive-by salt trucks coming through. Does anyone remember the name of the map that was a space ship that was cut in half down the center with just a drop into space between?

Your argument is flawed, though, because essentially you're saying that the only reason that this is a cash grab, "feels lazy", and is the equivalent of "getting fucked in the ass" is because the One isn't selling as well as the PS4. That's ridiculous. Both projects were started long enough ago that no one could know the current sales results.
I will pretty much guarantee you that both came from the same thinking, namely that the exclusive list for this year was thin on both consoles, so they plugged the hole with something relatively easier, namely last gen ports.
Also, don't forget that two of the games on here are from the original Xbox, which is old now and was not a huge seller. It's entirely possible there are people who never really got to play Halo 1 or 2 back in the day who are now old enough.

Are all the games running at 60fps?
Someone must have forgot to put up the "Don't feed the trolls." sign.
60 FPS Halo is beautiful. I definitely prefer and find Halo multiplayer to be superior over Destiny multi.
I usually play Halo just for campaigns... but this is looking pretty damn good. A lot better than what I saw from Destiny.

Two very different types of gameplay from what I've played of both, why even bring up Destiny in a Halo thread?
Eh, I grown out of the everyone starts with one bum weapon, fight for the rocket launcher, only aim from the hip style of play
Looks sweet though, Lord knows I put way too many hours into halo 2 in the past, but when it comes to nostalgia, imo, best to be remembered in memory
Ewwww what the fuck did they do to Lockout? They got rid of the blue tint. Get rid of the sun, it ruins it.
That's a nice lookin' game.
I've never played Halo multiplayer so forgive my ignorance but has the announcer always sounded like a sneering asshole?
Direct competitor going head to head within a few months time frame. From the same studio (og). Why not. I agree with them... i love Destiny but the PvP is not even in the same universe as Halo in terms of how well it's designed and plays.

Definitely. Destiny PvP is straight ass garbage. The PvE stuff is pretty cool, but no matchmaking on most of that is keeping me from getting it :'(
