That's a great stage idea! And for the record, by N3DS-exclusive, I think most people were including WiiU as well.

If Ice Climbers aren't present on 3DS at launch (yeah I'm one of those who thinks we may have a couple to see), and then they proceed to be absent from the Wii U at launch despite the issues with the poor little 3DS's CPU, then I will be shocked.

I mean, what reason would there be (besides rigidly adhering to roster parity to the point of semantics) for having partially complete ICs and then holding them back for the version that can handle them? Especially when you can continue to work on them and release them for 3DS as DLC when you can.

I'd get it if it were a newcomer, but these are the fucking Ice Climbers.

I really do think there's more to Smash Run than we know.

I hope so, that would make an awesome mode even more great.
Maybe a challenge that unlock another map?
But I won't be disappointed if there isn't.

We knew a lot more about Brawl going in just because the purpose of the Dojo was to reveal nearly everything about the game.

Smash 3DS still has a lot of mysteries, like "what the hell is this even" and "just how many different final battles for Smash Run are there." Being an MP focused game I do think they get away with a lot in regards to how much they're willing to show before it becomes overkill, especially since I don't mind those things being revealed upfront when that's mainly what I want to know when I gauge how much longevity the package will provide me with.

Oh, neat, that makes sense. I didn't even realize Smash Run had final battles per se.

I do hope 3DS has more challenge walls to be honest. Viridi's and Hades weren't visible in KIUR for most of the game, so we'll see.

Question: After the release of the Game Boy Color, did you know anybody without a Game Boy Color?

I was born in 1991 and grew up near Boston, so I lived in a reasonable representation of East Coast America. Pokémon fever hit us harder than a hurricane and every child had a GBC, but I never saw anybody with an original Game Boy. I've only ever seen ONE Game Boy in the hands of a player, playing some blurred attempt at Pokémon Blue, sitting on a curb in Maine.

To this day that's the only original Game Boy I've ever seen personally.

This is not dissimilar to the DS to the DS Lite. A year after the Lite was out, that's what you had. That machine was the hands down most popular version of the system and it wasn't even as big of an update as the New 3DS.

I'm curious what it was like for other people, because my experience suggests the New 3DS will be the standard machine very quickly.

I think the difference now is that the GBC was a massive upgrade over the GB in terms of color, processing, etc. It was a self-evident improvement. I think the N3DS is going to be a bit of a harder sell, especially since handhelds aren't popular like they once were and it doesn't in and of itself indicate some massive feature upgrade that GBC did. I just don't see people running out and getting an N3DS immediately like they did with GBC vs. GB. Similarly, I think DS Lite was picked up by a lot of people who skipped the DS entirely, and I think most people who want a 3DS and have the ability to buy one have one, and may not be as eager to upgrade when the N3DS seems like a stopgap revision and not as much of a major upgrade (based on what we know about it).

Sheik's largely using the same animations as Brawl. Which means the fingers likely won't be fixed, and neither will this.

Sakurai is a delusional idiot. It'd be funny if it wasn't so tragic. Smash players only get a new game every console generation, so when this turd drops, it's back to melee for another console cycle.

And before people jump on me, Yes I have got my fair share of time with the game. Yes it's actually worse than Brawl, no this will not be fixed because your boy Sakurai is too dumb to realise his game is trash.
