Looking for the title of a game I remember playing in the 90's on a PC at primary school.
Thought it was called something along the lines of rockfall but a quick Google search revealed nothing.
Found this review of an extremely similar game in terms of game-play.

But Instead of a face, it had a miner as the protagonist. Kind of looked like this...

Any suggestions as to what the name may be?
Cheers.
A hack n' slash PC game perspectively similar to Chivalry. I think l played the demo where there were skeletons, a boar(?) and regular enemy soldiers. One level had a bridge over water/lava in the middle.
Title could have been Myth/Myst or something similar.
Anyone?
Myth is an old isometric medieval RTS series from Bungie with fantasy elements.
Here's the wiki page - Myth Series.
I remember a DOS game... i think it was DOS.
It was mostly greyscale, I believe it was somewhat like a super simpler Duke Nukem 1.
Without all the bells and whistles, don't think it even had a story. It did have half-circle turrets tho'.
I remember one thing semi-close to where you started, you could fall down a pit, that was multi-screen.
It seemed more than 5-8+ screens you could fall yet you'd still be in the level and keep going on, it was almost metroidvania esque.
Here's my stunning reinactment:

Yes. There's one game in particular of which I can't remember the name.
It was back in the 90's... probably around '96... it was on one of those A BAZILLION GAMES shareware discs.
It was an isometric real-time (I think) game. There were robots (or maybe dudes in futuristic armor) but I don't remember if you were one too. I think you could break almost anything (crates, walls, etc.) and you could enter into futuristic buildings.
I think (not sure) that when you entered a structure or changed floor, the outside went either black or semi-transparent dark grey.
I also think you had an inventory of some sorts... I think I remember grenades, but I might be making stuff up.
I think that the health was displayed above the object as a green bar...
I'd really love to be able to play it again but I -really- can't remember anything else.

Found the game. It was called "Die by the sword". When I watch it now it is not in first person and definitely not named Myst/Myth. It does have a hog-headed character though. Funny how the mind changes the memory.
Thanks for the effort Ed!
Maybe Syndicate 1 or 2?

Rollergames for the NES? It's actually kind of good!

I wonder if that might be a demo of Crusader: No Remorse/Regret
Wow. that really looks similar... but at the same time it doesn't... but so much time has passed since then... I don't know.
Aesthetically (in my mind, at least) it looked more like this: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_PsvB0ptShVU/TD1BBqcqh1I/AAAAAAAAAaI/HdWFHrTSjIo/s1600/squad_screen007.jpg

Maybe it was X-Com: Apocalypse.
The interesting thing is that there's not *that* many isometric action games from that era. You might count Ultima 8, but that's clearly not the game you're referring to.
Most isometric games would be RTS or TBS
One other possibility, perhaps, is a demo of Gender Wars. Similar visual style, but more of a strategy game.

It was for PS1, and you were made of clay (I think). It was a platformer and you could input cheat codes to open new levels by randomly mashing buttons.
The main character looked very dorky.

It was an old school ps1 game. It was like a dungeon crawler, and you had to go around collecting various colored key cards (i think blue, yellow, red, and green). It was also pretty gory and dark, i think it took place in a dungeon or something.

Doesn't seem to be:
Impossible Mission
Thexder
Electroman
Alien Carnage
Obliterator
Secret Agent
Hmmm, Pretty sure it wasn't this, the overall color was grey or atleast seemed the majority of it was,
the character MIGHT be closer to some kind of miniman than humanoid. I think I misguided people when
I mentioned Duke Nukem 1, this game visually seemed extremely simple in my mind. No real background art i think.
It was multiscreen though, where you fall multiple "Screens down" or travel to different screens with different layouts.
It might of not been strictly DOS but it was for sure a PC game, maybe ran it on windows 95 or something.
Only other game that comes to mind right now is The Adventures of MicroMan, and it fits some of the elements like a gray background and the turret things.

A fighting game for the Genesis. COULD have predated Street Fighter 2, but not sure. All I remember was that it was in space and one of the characters was a fat alien who had a face and mouth on it's belly.
Ok if you guys name this I will love you.
I remember a game, it was like hockey except future space hockey or something. The arena was half of a 3d oval (like an elongated bowl) and you rode around to get the ball into the goal (a small area on either end).
Lots of triangles with low poly count.
there was a shooter on the genesis that was nearly impossible...
The only marking characteristic that I remember was that one of the buttons was to change the direction of the fire... there where 4 directions: foward, backwards, up and down and diagonal.
Impossibly hard too, you die after a single shot and returned the whole stage. Never got through the first level
no it was horizontal side scrolling, like R-Type

Boulderdash clones on PC from that approximate era:
Heartlight
Supaplex
Rocks'n'Diamonds (Being largely an engine that's capable of emulating a range of BoulderDash-type games. And Sokoban, for good measure)
Bluppo
Beyond those, try browsing here
I'm looking for a snes game I don't remember the name of, it's a 2D side-scrolling shmup, you start off as a plane/ship and turn into a robot when you power up, it came out in North America and is single player only.
Sorry, I don't have more details.
