I don't know why I wasn't expecting Atlus USA to release PQ videos before P4AU is out.

I've grown used to hearing Yu talk with everything he's been in, but hearing Makoto is a little strange.

Hearing P3 MC have a voice is also a bit weird, but I think it fits the character's design. (although I'm not hearing it as Yosuke's voice)

Haha, I don't know about intentional. It wasn't the case in the Japanese release, so this explanation has always felt like post-rationalization.

This is yet another terrible performance from Lowenthal.
P3 protag's voice didn't sound apathetic. I'm not sure if amateur or lazily acted fits the description I'm looking for.

More like poor planning. As I said, Lowenthal is actually a pretty good VA, but he lacks vocal range. All of his characters sound the same, the only thing that differentiates them is their personality. I feel the voice director was trying to play up this aspect more to differentiate the characters and that's why you have P3 protag intentionally talking more slowly/deliberately versus Yosuke's brash/energetic manner.


I do agree it doesn't quite work... but I prefer the consistency of keeping the same VAs for characters when possible.
