If Black Women Said The Stuff White Men Say

As a piggy back to another thread title White Fetish

I mean one race, crazy talk, but two races saying the similar kind of things? Potential pattern of experience from PoC when it comes to hooking/dating?

Maybe we could see these situation from the women's point of view before we say how we are not like what is depicted in the video. They all can't be just making this stuff up out of thin air right? RIGHT? Enjoy and happy discussing.

LOL.. is this really what white guys say to black women?

I can only say for myself personally.. never said anything like that nor am I awkward around black women.

Although the fact black women seem to take very nicely to me might be evidence that most white guys act really douchey like that to them.

Yo, check this out: black women have a conversation like this: "Do, do, ch. Do-be-do, do-be-do-be-do." Yeah, but white guys, see, they have a conversation like this: "Dee-da-dee, a-dee-da-dee-da-dee-da-dee."

Ah-ha-ha, it's true, it's true. We're so lame.

Yes. Every single comment in that video has been made to both of my sisters throughout their entire lives. And the instant new people I meet start to feel comfortable around me, comments like these start to trickle out.

"So I've always wondered......"

"So, can I ask....."

"So, don't be offended, but....."

Multiple white girls I've dated have said exact quotes from that video:

"So, do you think black girls would be mad at you for dating me?"

"Usually when I date black guys, they're not REAL black guys, they're clean, like not ghetto black, you know?"

And in my experience, and the experiences of people I know/family, it is by and large a white thing to ask these questions. Other races just don't seem to give a fuck.

I definitely go "Yeah bro! Powerplay!" while watching hockey. I picked it up from the white man.

LOL That was great. Especially, "I've had a friend say "cracker" around me before and I was like, "Hey man, I'm not cool with that." I've had something like that happen to me too many times to count.

Why do you make everything about race though man? Why can't you just stop seeing race, isn't that really the way forward? Can't you see that your inability to look past race is the problem here

It ain't cos you're black, it's because you're aware you're black. To defeat the white guy, one must think like a white guy.

I've witnessed it in more generic situations.. like I've seen white people act awkward around other races and ask stupid questions.

My mother in law does shit like that.. have an Asian waitress she'll start asking about "their culture".. she even talks with an accent to people with accents

Just for some reason never dawned on me that someone attempting to actually date a black woman (or visa versa really) would say anything like that.

But maybe this isn't just a "dating" situation.

A black girl once tried to chat me up in a club. She said “you’re cute, do you come in black?”
I said no.
She said “do you want to?”

That sounds cool, but problems don't go away if we stop talking about them. Race has been a bit of a taboo topic in the US for the last few decades, but things haven't gotten much better for Black people.

Can't tell if you're also being really facetious or if you just missed the shitty strawman.

You know, I'd be okay with all of those comments if a cute black girl said that. If a black girl wanted to show me off at an office party I'd be the classiest mother fucking white guy they ever saw. I'd look like Hugh Jackson up in there.

...This apparantly goes way over my head, I don't understand this video at all.

It's a reversal video making fun of racial fetishism that black girls and guys (and honestly several races) experience, usually from Caucasians. Where the fact that the person is "exotic" is the major factor of why they find the person intriguing from a relationship standpoint. Some of the usual rhetoric is stuff like: "I've got jungle fever", "You know I don't usually go for black girls but you're different. You're not 'black black', you know?", "Best sex I ever had was with a black girl", etc.

I wouldn't know since black women don't talk to me... Unless it's an older woman scolding me and then I just say, "Yes, ma'am."
