Harley was in
Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker. She made a small appearance at the end. The Dee Dee sisters are actually Harley's Granddaughters. In one episode of Justice League Unlimited, they actually manage to kill Terry. That was something.

Oh shit. I totally forgot about the Dee Dee sisters and their connection to Harley. Yeah they're pretty great.

Oh, and this is probably completely redundant and self-explanatory at this point, but just reconfirming since I've now finished the run:
Morrison's Doom Patrol is my favorite comics run of all time.

I really can't imagine how another comic could possibly take that spot from it on my list, but hey, if it happens I'll be incredibly pleased.
I am planning to read Sandman in the coming months, so maybe that can give it a challenge.

Sandman is perfect, and V for Vendetta is an incredibly profound and thought provoking novel.

So you did get around to reading Sandman! Glad you enjoyed it!
And I actually already have V for Vendetta, but I haven't read it yet. The movie is one of my favorites and I imagine it's one of those "the book is way better than the movie" situations, so I'm sure I'd love the book. I'll try to read that soon.

Current Johns is at his best when he only has one character to write and build a world around.

Definitely have to agree. I really want to enjoy his Justice League, especially with the current team, but even saying it's a letdown is giving it too much credit. And in terms of consistency, in the most recent issue Luthor and Bats are completely at odds, while in Tomasi and Gleason's Batman & Robin, Luthor is entirely sympathetic towards Bruce due to them being the only two humans on the team (aside from Cold, I guess, but he's more a goon right now).

And the small twist at the end of the most current Superman issue is so good--it's enough to warrant an entire snowball effect
that could be really heartbreaking for Supes and Ulysses.

Read this Storm book and really liked it. Planed to buy it anyway, but this first issue makes me really excited.

I'm glad you liked it. I'm not picking up the subsequent issues but that's not to say I didn't like it. I've become a bit more picky with what I pull as of late since I need to downsize my list a bit; it's getting a little out of control.

I met Tim, he is good people! More to come from the con.

Pics plz

I know that Freeza. Even if they say otherwise.

So, is Alan Moore's Promethea Onimbus still happening? or should I just get the trades/HC. If any one cares lol.
Vertigo still have it listed on their site (with a buy now button) despite never actually releasing it.

Right,
Jane got sent to "our" world, where its all brown and boring and doesn't accept weirdos like the Doom Patrol, and Cliff took her to comic book world of Danny the Street. So its a bit bittersweet, cuz they got their happy ending, but the "real" world will never accept them

If this sounds a lot like Multiversity, its because he's been writing this story for 20 years now

I never don't cry when I read that issue.

Zdarsky and Fraction are freaking hilarious, and Ryan Browne should be my best friend.
Korupt and his wife are cool as hell.

Picked some more random books from the library.

Queen and Country: Vol 1
She-Hulk: Single Green Female
Silver Surfer: Parable
Avengers: The Heroic Age
Superman: Action Comics vol 1

I wonder if the current meaning of the mask as a symbol (and/or a meme) will have any effect on new readers of the comic.

You're in for a treat. Seeing Marvel characters drawn by Moebius for the first time is so, so great.

the second issue of storm came out already and it was great. u guys should read it if you liked the first issue. marvel is knocking it out of the park with all the x-men solos.

I'm also more interested in company booths vs random shops.

random shops typically offer discounts more than company booths, but company books usually do last-day sales. I've found that Dark Horse always does 50% on Sundays whenever they're down here, for example. Archaia did buy one get one free. Not all of them do, though, of course. There's always vendors with half-off books though, and then Cheapgraphicnovels always has a setup with 40% off (they're based in socal though).

I was looking forward to it, then it just suddenly disappeared from any and all release lists. I managed to find it on DC's Vertigo site, but it says it's "Available Now" with a release date of Sept. 25, 2013. lolololololol

Edit: It seems I can't find any concrete cancellation info on it. Everything I see says it's just postponed and will be re-solicited MUCH later. Here's a pic from J.H. Williams III's twitter as to why:

V is about Reptilian shape-shifting infiltrators of Anonymous, right?

That sounds like a better plot than the way the most recent V television series ended up.

Guys, I scored an ORIGINAL art page from Chris Sprouse for his issue of Multiversity. Do you want me to post it? Its spoilery! not too spoilery.

Fourth World reading up

Made it halfway through Omnibus Vol 1. First off, it happened, it happened! I got to read the famous Darkseid sitting in a chair issue. Ah..so good. So since my last update the 3 other titles that appear to be part of Kirby's "Fourth World" have shown up and things are moving along quite nicely.
- The forever people are essentially hippie kids that form Infinity man to do battle. So basically captain planet before it was called captain planet. And Darkseid in his first appearance was rocking a cape. After this issue its never been seen again
- New Gods is essentially the orion show. Whats funny is he keeps referring to his alpha power deal but its never really explained what it does.
- Mister Miracle - the first issue threw me for a loop until it started to become more what i thought the character was heading in.

The cool thing is seeing all these characters I know introduced for the very first time. And i'm surprised how much i do know from things like Superman:TAS, and various Justice League comics/events over the years.

A couple more spoilery details
I'm liking how they're explaining why Darkseid hasn't just done a full scale invasion. The hunt for the human that could have parts of the anti-life equation is a good hook for him hanging around and lurking around Earth
-Jimmy's biker gang just disappeared with no warning. Like they once the hairies showed up *poof* gone and never mentioned again.
-It was funny to see Superman not give a damn about Darkseid and the danger. He really REALLy wanted to see supertown. He must be really lonely indeed. Thankfully the didn't go through with it. That'd be an odd move IMO.
-What's with Kirby's fascination of stone hands so far? First its steel hand, and then in Orion #2 there's another guy with stone hands. Like this is some big super power.
-And finally the takedown of Giant Jimmy through mini newsboy legion guys was awesome. Such a surprise reveal that had me smiling

That must have cost baller cash.

Is Yale Stewart all alone at his table?

You would think, when you see original art from artist on the internet, pages cost 300-600 USD because its going through a dealer. Here at the con, it is straight from the artist. I scored a page from Grant Morrisons Multiversity by Chris Sprouse for only $125. Ill let Tim share his stuff but his wife bought something similar for the same money. OG art at cons is the place to get it.

I wish I could go to a big con like that. I'd buy so much original art.

That's a pretty sweet price

Diablo has taken over my life, but in between that I read the first five issues of Starlight. Ya know, this turned out pretty well. Pavlov is just

, and whoever is doing the colors like Moebius' The Incal is some next level shit. Barring a fucked up ending on Millar's point, I recommend it
