I think this is the first time we posted in the same thread haha.
Forgive me for not keeping up with this thread but it seems like this is going to be more of an organized clan than I expected it to be. I've been in DestinyGAF since the alpha but I don't want to take up a slot for someone who is more interested in a serious clan than I am. I'll gladly give up my spot if it would make it easier.

As far as I am concerned, you are not taking anyone's spot by being in DestinyGAF. While I respect your expectation for this Clan. I will say this once so there will be no misunderstandings later on. DestinyGAF is going to be big and as active as it can be. We will have specific Clan activities, there will be Admins running the Alliance & the subclans at all time as required to ensure everything runs smoothly and productive. However, participation towards any of our activities/events will be up to you, there are no such requirements that you must attend any of the said events/activities.
Stay tune for more updates by the Admin team in the coming future with regards to our activities, newsletters and plans for DGAF. I look forward to see you in-game. Here's to an awesome LAUNCH and the FUTURE.

When will the main group clan go online? It's just that different people will be online at different times so it might be unfair to activate it too soon. Some might miss out on the opportunity to set it as their clan since you can't choose a clan until you play Destiny at least once.
I think it would be good to agree on a time sometime after official launch and give everyone a fair chance. What say you DestinyGaf Ninjas?

Yeah, there's a 100 person per platform limit for each group. Luckily the individual DGAF region groups mostly have <100 members so you should be OK
However I was in DGAF EU original and for some reason it was never allied with the main GAF clan which has a limit of 10 alliances I think. Meaning a lot of people potentially could be left out in the cold if a repeat of the Beta happens.
Personally, as a DGAF member since the Alpha, I would like a fair opportunity to be part of the main group clan as I am heavily invested in this game and plan on participating to a great extent. However, since I'm buying the Ghost edition in store I have to wait until after midnight GMT to play and might miss out on the chance to join.

That definitely increases your odds. The numbers per clan per group during the Beta were pretty lopsided. I'm also in the XBO boat.

Approved for NA East 6. That group is approaching 100 members so it will be closed and presumably NA East 7 will open. Will post the link and info when that occurs. Thanks!

I think people are misunderstanding the function of DestinyGAF being an Alliance here. We have found out that so far there is no limit to the number of Subclans that can be under the Alliance at the moment. The last time I personally checked those numbers, we were at 14 Subclans. Each Subclan's owner can check those numbers and support my statement.
By having the Subclans under the Alliance. It doesn't matter where you are placed. In the end you will all be representing GAF. The only thing that differs will be, a lil bit longer name for the Subclans. This represents each time zones for specific regions management. Thus, all 1758 Members and rising of DestinyGAF will be affiliated to the Alliance despite being in a Subclan even if you missed out on the chance in getting into the Main Clan/Alliance.
I hope this clarifies the matter.

Also don´t worrie to much on setting your clan yet, it´s all DGAF and the main group is just to gather all, while the regionals are mostly for organisational purposes and are the ones you are supposed to set as clans anyway first and foremost.
After release and when we exactly know the extent of clan/alliance features ingame we will look it all over and adjust accordingly.

Allright, thanks! I get "You cannot join this clan because you have not played Destiny using a linked PlayStation Network account.(657)" when I try to set it as my clan though, so I suppose I'll first have to play the game before I can join? I'm also not sure if I applied correctly to the main Destiny GAF clan since I got some kind of error message when I applied and now the option to apply isn't there anymore.
You are set for both primary and regional, and until release and you logged on one character you can´t set clan i think.

Are you certain there's no limit? When I check the alliance list it only says 10. DestinyGaf EU (original) is still not allied with the main clan...
