Interesting...thanks. I'm looking forward to seeing that play out on the show. I like the original take on vampire lore. There's enough similarities with existing lore, but some good original differences.

That body isn't his for the entire series. I assume the big "fucking finally" moment for GAF in the S2 OT will be his change.
There's a brilliant sequence in book 2 that very visually showcases how it works.

Sunday's episode...
+ Eichorst is great, as usual. For a relatively nondescript character in the novels, he's quickly becoming a highlight of the show.
+ Fet is quickly distinguishing himself as the most badass member of the crew, excepting Setrakian who cannot be surpassed.
+ Eph's glorious shovelcution of Matt, very cathartic.
+ THE MASTER, finally revealed in all his glory. He looks amazing and otherworldly.
- A bit too much hollow acting from Zach.
- Haxx0r grrrl is still alive, and by all accounts appears to be joining the cast in a major way. I'm going to keep expressing my dissatisfaction with this character until she dies. It should have happened so many times already.

I think it's the eyes and mouth, the pupils are too normal, and the mouth is too gentle. He's just a big goof. We need to see him doing something awful without the hood on.
I really, really want the opener to the finale be an extended Sardu flashback.
It would really be an honest shame if they had Setrakian just tell it.

With all the horrible sounds always coming out of that hood, the way he moved around, and the nightmarish shit he did to that poor guy at the end of the first episode, I was honestly expecting something positively lovecraftian for the Master. All tentacles and sinew and exposed god knows what. His appearance is just so dissonant given what we've seen him do. I hope that's on purpose for some reason, and not just an artistic failing.

He legitimately looks like he's wearing a layer of prosthetic makeup.
Straight on, The Master looked pretty goofy, but I thought he looked pretty damn good in profile. It looked like his eyes were more proportionate to his head from that angle.

Yeah that's what my wife said. He does look better there, I think it's his fleshy lips and chin from both angles that are a bit weird for me tho. I expect Uber Vamp to be less human, but he's actually MORE human with those fleshy bits there.

Yeah. I expected him to be much more feral looking. Instead he has an odd bloated thing going on.
He escaped the camp, ran into the woods to that bunker he'd presumably built for the master and his case.

Eph was doing what needed to be done. He will handle the loving, while Fet takes care of the slaying. Nothing works up sexual thirst more than rolling up an infected decapitated body and setting it on fire. Cue the music. Thanks Matt...I owe you one.

I did not like Matt's turning at all.
Here, it was just "eh".
In the book, it made The Master look much more cunning and calculating and like he actually viewed Eph as a threat. It set up the entire final chapter of the first book and laid groundwork for their relationship throughout the next two. Plus, it was creepy as fuck and upped the stakes drastically.

He's still massive but it's hard to tell there as he isn't next to anyone. He isn't as broad as the show version though. More tall and thin.

Been reading the books (now on book two) and the books are so much better. The characters actually act in ways that make sense.
