It is amazing that the lack of "real" reviews somehow forces people to read troll user reviews over at Metacritic...

How about trying to assess the game using your own critical thinking for once in your life?

This dependency on reviews is like a taught disability.

People like to read reviews to get an idea of whether to buy a game or not.

Has anyone not received their pre-order bonuses? Received a card for the armory, but not for the sparrow. (delivery, not in store pickup)

btw found out amazon has supply issues with the hard cover LE guide. They are expecting to start shipping them in October. I found one at my local best buy and will just price match there.

It's obvious an incredible amount of effort and resources has gone into developing this game. If Destiny gets less than a 90 average on Metacritic I will be seriously f*cking pissed.

Shareholder?

No, we have to wait until people start reaching the level cap and experience the end-game.

The grind from 1-20 (30?) should just be the beginning of this type of game.

Ah, the good ol' FF XIII model! XD

Im lvl 8 and i just called in sick :) i just cant stop playin. This is everything i wanted it to be so far. Love it. Anybody else call in sick?

If anyone wants to do Devil's Lair, add me in the next 10 minutes

I've asked in the other thread but how the heck do I delete my save game/character? My guy looks derpy and I want to start with a new one without taking up a 2nd save slot.

Helllllp!

EDIT: I am PS4 by the way
In the beta you could hover over the character card and.

Note that you need to have at least TWO CHARACTERS in order to delete one. Weird.

So now we are back on the "it's not an MMO" thing? Really?

Not saying it isn't a MMO. I'm saying it doesn't have the basic in-game features of a MMO that allow for a community to rise. Not a community in the sense that there's a Halo or CoD community but a world where you can walk up to people, make friends, etc. The controller doesn't really allow for this kind--standard MMO socialization--to occur. It's still a MMO in regards to how it's designed but the controller makes it so it's hard for you to meet and socialize like in other MMOs.

Excuse me? Why are you so agressive towards a question about this game?

I have not bought this game yet because I am not sure if it's my kind of thing or not and I am interested in reading others views about it before I sink £55 on a game I may or may not even enjoy to the end.

ATTENTION FELLOW WESTCOASTGAF MEMBERS:

As we all sit here and watch the damn Europeans play, we can do nothing but try and focus on work. So, let's all hook up tonight and kill things! Add me on PSN. Will be home by 5pm PST and installing the game by 5:01pm.

I'm talking free roam/exploring/story mode coop here. Not a big PVP guy but I love going over every nook and cranny looking for secrets. I'm old as fuck (41) so no energy drink squeals or ADD from me. If I commit to a fight I stay until the bitter end!

PvP and fighting mobs with some buddies for loot is fun enough, but holy shit is the story terrible, and the missions are bland/all follow the same structure. Couldnt spoil it if I tried. Avoid solo play, or you will be dissapointed.

If that's all you're interested in - don't buy.

That's all I needed to know. I'll put off buying a PS4 for a while longer.

TOtally disagree. It's obviously stripped down, but the game is structured so that you can run into someone else's gameplay experience and share it with them.

I haven't checked, but I'd be willing to bet XBL and PSN have these players listed in your recent players list, and you can then Friend and/or Message them.

So I am just waiting to get home from work to play.... but Question, is this something you should wait to start with your friends? Or go it alone to begin with?

What is ghost? The game just came out and it has an expansion already? Lol

The Ghost edition just has the toy. And the expansion packs are reservations/discounted for when they do come out.

I truly hope they are worth it though.

Guys, has Bungie commented on the meatiness of the expansion content?

So I'm trying to buy digitally from the Xbox Store on the web, but it's saying Not Available. This is despite me having clicked a link to buy it digitally. Anyone else experience this?

Oh i see.. I'm getting the digital version. And I don't care about toys

Thanks for the clarification. You just saved me $30

That's a way to go about it but it's still a giant hurdle instead of pressing enter and saying "hi". I have a feeling getting pre-mades will eventually be segregated the same way other games, for example NAZI Zombies in World at War, which is "mic or leave".

Bummer. I keep seeing a lot of these types of comments, opinions etc. I felt that the PvP in the Alpha and Beta was very mediocre and was hoping for a stellar PvE experience. I'll still go through it once. But glad i went disc instead of digital with this.

Its decent enough going solo but you'll get a lot more enjoyment out of the game if you play with other people.

Thanks for that update. I've been wondering what was up with my order. Might as well cancel that then because it will probably seem pretty useless a month later.
