I need help I just bought the game and I have the original 20gb Xbox 360. I keep getting Error Insufficient storage space. How much space is needed to play the disc?

Played for a total of 3h 26mins and just completed the earth missions and strike. I'm almost level 9 but my gear's not really the best yet.

I have noticed the engram drops are a lot less frequent then in the alpha and beta. The "hard" difficulty also seems to have had a buff. I tried doing the warmind story level on hard while only level 4 and got shredded so many times during the final fight.

Not 100% sure what to do now though. Should I finally play some crucible or head for the moon?

It should work. On 360, the game only installs ~6GB, roughly. Though, according to the GameStop page, the game requires 20GB free. I don't know why, though.

Play lists being the big thing in the PvP, Halo had a ton of play lists with huge variety, destiny has 5 not to dissimilar from one and other.
Also the weapon variety I think also effects the PvP, comparing it with Bungies last great effort (imo) Halo 3 , it fall quite short.

Perhaps I bought into the game with the wrong expectations. People are saying it's like diablo with guns and theyre not wrong, but I think diablo offers far more in the way of variety, loot and even story.

thanks for explanation, that does suck kind of glad I passed on the LE and just got the vanilla. Hopefully they give this game lots of love down the road and it wasn't just cashing in on the rep. they created.

Just hit level 20. Still so much to do....

Those who got busted up Ghost editions, what are you doing about it? My copy just arrived and half the box is busted open.

I don't get why the Grimoire isn't in the game. It's not fun to read later the codex on the computer after playing. IT would be better the read entries as you find them

Seriously, no voice chat unless you form a fireteam, which includes PvPs, strikes, raids, etc. I'm letting my pre-order sit at Gamestop and hoping they indicate a fix is coming. If not, I'll just apply it elsewhere I guess.

I don't understand it at all. Their explanation of "we don't want you to hear nasty chat" and "we want you to make friends" is complete bullshit: (1) a mute button fixes the first problem and (2) they make it incredibly difficult to group with anyone outside of people you already know. How can you claim it is a social game and remove the most critical social aspect?

I'm starting to think they just could not figure out how to get proximity chat with the people you casually run into to work, and they nixed the whole thing.

As much as I agree with this post, I have to say that the public chat in Halo 3 and beyond was *vile*. Yes, you could mute but oh god, it was practically every match.

I miss Xbox Live 1.0.

are you fucking shitting me

so I've been talking to myself the whole time, which is hilarious. But seriously, you can't fucking voice chat with people !?!?!? Bungie what the fuck are you thinking.

edit: I'm assuming this means multiplayer too, where you're on a team, but it stil doesn't count as a 'fireteam'.

i'm so angry/sad right now

they at least need game chat in PVP its really frustrating having to invite people in a lobby and it takes way too long. I was hoping this had changed from the beta this game is so antisocial.

All will be lost, use the vault.

totally forgot they could be stored there... thank you. a friend screwed up earlier and basically lost everything. i didn't have plans to delete this character, but would've been slightly annoyed they were all glued to just this one. thanks!

I hope Bungie adds a third character slot. There's three classes, let me have one of each, don't make me delete one just to play the last one.

well thats the most damning thing I've read about the game yet though what do you mean don't expect halos variety? Honestly wondering you talking like playlists?

It doesn't have Halo's focus on movement, razor-sharp balance, or a big variety between levels.

It does have a great world to explore, amazing OST (blows Halo 4 shit out of the water), and decent gunplay.

Really digging the bounty stuff the rewards seem really good and most of it so far you can multitask.

I need to go through and send friend request to dgaf west since the game doesn't list members on a separate friend page, unless I am missing it. Almost level nine and still have yet to have one fire team group, all my friends seem higher level or play at different times. :(

Started playing the game. My 30 day PSN trial must have been redeemed by someone else already, when I tried to put it in I got a message saying it was an invalid code or already redeemed. :(

The other code with my disc worked though.

Yea np, I almost lost all the stuff too but thank god I played the beta, im shocked thry dont tell you about the vault system.

Am I the only one really enjoying it? I didn't expect an open world game with an epic narrative. Just tight Bungie shooting and great art. There's still much to be seen, however.

As a new PS4 owner I have to say the console is beautiful. I really like the UI and everything is quick. The white console is one of the most attractive boxes I've ever owned.

I'm in the same boat so there are at least two of us. Maybe we're the only ones listening when Ghost is talking. :}

I thought I'd hate it and I actually love it. I realized it when I discovered that I hadn't been forced to listen to and then mute some raging pre-teen or racist douche. I've got a deep friends list and with how easy it is to swap people in and out, I have arguably the most stress free chat out.

I have two questions.

Question 1: I accidentally clicked "finish" when making my character. Is there a way I can go back and continue?

Question 2: I just completed the intro, and am now in the city. How do I escape and explore the universe? lol

Thank you!

The story missions are excellent so far, just done a couple on the moon. Doing patrol stuff can get a little tiresome but I balance out story and patrols. I just did some crucible. I love the gunplay, it just so satisfying.

25 minutes and I am off work on the longest day of my life. DAMN.

40GB

I hear you, once a week every tuesday I have to work a 10 hour shift instead of an 8. Last night I went to bed at 8pm, set an alarm for 12am, played till 7, went back to sleep till 11 (work at 12:30).

Here I am with 5 hours left to go, and all I can do is sit and be quietly hyping Destiny. Longest day ever.

I'm champing at the bit waiting for UPS to deliver Destiny to me. They're usually here by now. I'm starting to get paranoid delusions of sadistic drivers and thieving neighbors. Hilarious.

The modular/fragmented nature of the world is a bit strange to me, and I sorta long for a bit more traditional world in terms of the structure of everything.

also so friggin many loading screens. good god.

and long unskippable cutscenes? which are followed by a long loading screen? crime.

That's exactly how I'm balancing it out and have avoided all sense of boredom and repetitiveness.

I'd say it's like Halo light.

The story is more or less non existant, just a bunch of odd names and words used over and over.

The core game play is Halo esque but without the weapon variety, terrific set pieces, level design etc
Every mission boils down to you clearing waves of enemies whilst your robot friend downloads something or whatever the fuck his excuse for existing is.

The PvP again is Halo light, but it's very enjoyable. Just don't expect Halos variety and you won't be disappointed in the PvP

The best thing about Destiny Imo is that it makes me appreciate Halo that much more now
What would you say to someone who is looking at this primarily for PvP? Your description of the single player stuff is pretty in-line with what my friends have said. Which is fine. But would this still be worth the purchase if I'm mainly interested in the competitive multiplayer?

I've always loved the Bungie Halo games online and was hoping for similar enjoyment out of this. Sounds like it may not be there, though.
