Pretty much this.I'd like to see these people review an MMO without hitting the endgame.
That doesn't make any sense to me. Come on man, you're still not even past the beta content.

I think there is a good way and a bad why to handle criticism. For instance calling the game a criminal offense is not only inaccurate, but incorrect use of the English language^^ But I think it is healthy to let known your issues with the game so that Bungie can work on them, be it for DLC or the Sequel. And on the other side I do understand your feelings in particular for the light hearted and fun side of the Withdrawel thread. Do not worry, by OT 4 all the haters or those who were genuinely disappointed will have moved on and the only ones left will be those who want to talk about the good and the bad in constructive manner^^That's not my point at all. Negativity is perfectly acceptable in regards to constructive criticism, but it isn't somehow independent from being approachable and, generally, not acting like an asshat, for lack of a better term.
If someone doesn't have something nice to say that's perfectly valid, then by all means they should say it, but it shouldn't mean resorting to inflammatory remarks--admittedly a bit hypocritical of me to say--that do nothing but make someone sound like they're too angry to be at a keyboard right now.
You can still have a fun atmosphere while fostering valid, constructive criticism. If I've learned anything from four years being astory reviewer/editor, it's that you can still be critical and have funlargely fanfiction related.because otherwise you get shat on by the people you're trying to help (talking about writers here)
That's the "atmosphere" I'm talking about. Where'd the fun all go? Feels to me that it was zapped away underneath a lightning storm of disappointment that somehow felt as though no one had really seen coming in the way that it did.
You don't need dog gifs and stupidity and hype to still have fun as a community.
I apologize if my initial statement was, itself, inflammatory, but I was also a bit too irritated to be at a keyboard.
For now, I think I've explained myself as best I can. Hopefully, I don't come off as I did initially.
What's the point of engrams? Why doesn't it just give me gear? Having to pull myself out of PvP to get my item is kinda annoying.
The PvP is total garbage. Spawning with shotguns or snipers is so stupid.
At this point I think it's probably more apt to compare this to Warframe than Halo in terms of the way the "campaign" is structured.
Yeah I went there.

This is a complaint I have as well, especially considering how long the load time for travelling back into orbit, then to the Tower is.What's the point of engrams? Why doesn't it just give me gear? Having to pull myself out of PvP to get my item is kinda annoying.
No it doesn't, the story is terrible and it's the same mission type over and over, go take ghost to computer, scan computer, kill waves of enemies, and go back to orbit.
I just got 3v3 and am enjoying it the best so far. It's funny, I liked the PvP pretty well in the beta, but after seeing so much Halo MCC footage, I'm feeling a lot less tolerant with Destiny's imbalanced style. You can use them too, the PVP is actually pretty well balanced considering how much of a shit show it should be. I'd stick to control and 3v3 personally.
There are dude running around taking Bombs and Shotguns with no shield or health damage.

This is one of those rare games where every complaint I've seen has been valid and everyone seems to agree what the strengths and weaknesses are, but for some they can be a massive issue and for others, like me, relatively minor. I always find it fascinating when that happens.

Humans have emotions, when they get disappointed when they were extremely excited the fun community tends to go away at least for a bit. Once expectations and the initial negativity wave is out we'll have reviews starting to come and whether they're good or bad there will be discussion on it. There will still be loads of discussion of people having fun with the game. I don't expect the game to have nothing but Withdrawal thread fun discussion until those who are playing it for the sake of having nothing else to play move on. And that won't be until at the very least the next major game (say Call of Duty or Dragon Age).
I'm really enjoying the game but some things really stress me out. I'll continue to play it but it's largely due to the co-op working so well and my friends being fun people.

If that's the way this thread is going to behave, I'll go discuss this game somewhere else.

It's like unwrapping a gift

It's the general pattern of OTs. There are some games like The Last of Us and Nintendo ones that were generally pretty light in tone, but look at the Resident Evil 6 OT or GTA V OT for similar situations.*snip*
It does get better, and its a loot game. What do you want

I suppose it's my over-developed sense of optimism and idealism. Strange part is, it's not some disappointing facet that gets me down on something, but rather how other people react to it themselves. I'm just a bit tired of all the adjectives being thrown around like they were going out of style.
I hope my response was a bit better than how you would've expected me to respond, though we may not know each other well enough for that (though you'd be surprised how conditioned people get to expecting a certain response, even from total strangers).
I'm no saint either, but I'd hope people would calmly opine rather than caustically spit out their thoughts.
Is there a game mode where every one starts with same weapon and then you pick up rest from map?
Is 1437 Glimmer a lot?
WatDoIBuy?
Save it. Get about 2800 and buy a new ship skin so you can make fun of all the peons in the PvP loading screen.
Really I thought Destiny was built for adventure/co-op and pvp was just an afterthought.
Playing PVP in a party is just too damn good, I feel bad for the people not enjoying this.![]()
