PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | September 2014

At this point I'll be suprised if I saw a "Japanese RPG game" for the Vita without fanservice. I'm starting to get allergic to fanservice in games because of Japan.

You act like Conception II isn't on the 3DS or something. Or Toushin Toshi. Or Etrian Odyssey.

Just so you know, Sen no Kiseki and Oreshika are on the Vita.

When the fuck did fan service translate into over sexualized young characters?

In that image she looks like she 25.

Most of the characters that are used in fan service scenes are girls with dubious age.

This is a common divisive problem of games from the East and the West. Yes, There are games like that for the 3DS too but the problem is there is too much games for the Vita that have these parts to the point that almost everyone can assume that "an ecchi game = Vita game" at this point. Even danganronpa has scenes for fans ( I'm looking at you, Asahina).

I'll stop this topic now since it can derail the thread easily.

So 1001 Spikes is still coming to Vita in PAL regions, right? What's been the hold up?

Heh, would like to know it as well.

The game is already done, the PEGI already rated it...Nicalis is really shitty at localizing games.

EDIT: Now that I think about it...they need to submit the game to OFLC and USK too, do they? Because it hasn't been rated by them.

Not directly related to 1001 Spikes, but maybe they need a good release date.
it released a year and a month later

Who really knows with Nicalis, they're like the most unreliable publisher in the PAL regions. Maybe we'll get it in a year, maybe never (Cave Story DSiWare). Thank god Isaac Rebirth is releasing simultaneously in Europe and the US.

I gotta say my opinion of Destiny isn't getting any higher lately.

Is PSN in general iffy or is this on Bungie? This was for all intents and purposes a "single player" match...had not seen a single other human in the match even.

I have not seen psn go down once since the destiny release. I keep getting error messages from bungie but psn has been great.

Welcome to always online games. The same thing happened with Diablo 3 on PC, and it happened with Sim City. I don't expect it's much different with Destiny either. That's why I'm waiting until the server is stabilized at least.

Commented at the bottom of the page and nobody saw my question. So here it is again:

Searched for a thread about it but found nothing, so I'll ask it here:

I want to get a PS4 + The Last of Us Bundle, and I've read here that all the PS4 Game Bundles come with the physical copy of the game.
But checking multiple stores here in brail, I found that all of them say that TLoU is a Redeem Code and not the physical disc.

Now I'm confused. Who's telling the truth?

I do often wonder how profitable it is for the Four Horsemen of Localization (Atlus USA, NISA, Xseed, Aksys) to localize all the random otaku-pandering stuff they keep pumping out, especially when it's Vita exclusives. But they keep doing it, so I assume it's working pretty well for them.

They don't seem to be so great at communicating what's going on judging by their Twitter account. A number of people have asked and haven't received replies.

The Binding of Isaac was the other thing I was worried about so it's good to hear there's some assurance of a timely release.

Profitable enough for Idea Factory to get its own localization branch

Most likely the licenses cost really cheap or they can save a lot of money somewhere along the localization.

I don't rememeber Atlus USA localize that many otaku games, don't they? Unless you mean something along the like of Persona is otaku games.

I only completed chapter 1, and I thought the trail stuff was just flat out bad.

I think the nonstop debates and closing arguments are fine but everything else is a mess. The minigames are somehow even worse in Danganronpa 2 but it's worth suffering through them for the story.

re-acquired a Vita 2000 and a 64gb card. i'm back in!

I have to say, as a victim of a bunch of OLED Vitas with the vertical line issue, I welcome the new screen. I notice the colors aren't as nice and brightness range is not as wide, but I don't feel like it's a MASSIVE HUGE OMG downgrade that some people make it out to be.

Finished up Momo's story in Muramasa, started the other guy's story and am also working on a Vagrant Story playthrough. I also played a little MMX MH and sucked so hard it's not even funny.

I think I have enough backlog to last a lifetime between vita, ps1, and psp games.

Another MUSYNC update today and now with a nice new icon!
Another in the line up of female face game series!

Two new songs (and a third locked behind paywall of 1.85 AUD):

A high tempo female pop song (in Japanese this time??).
On hard you have to be light on your finger tips to get the quick doubles and holds that they throw at you.

Aerialwalker - Female vocaloid song with some electronic dancefloor backing track. Some tricky quarter notes and doubles mixed in.
On hard lots of doubles and notes patterns that follow mostly the bass line before the drop.

La La La Refrain (locked until purchased) - Chinese vocaloid with an almost choral performance backed by piano, drums, and guitar. Lots of holds.
On hard you are faced with holds and notes set to the intricate piano backing.

I'd of liked to have used that money for more games during the sale, but I figured some folks would like to know what's up in the world of MUSYNC.

This is a clone of the DJMAX Portable series by Chinese developers. They've been slowly adding content to the game since it's release and this is the first time they've had a song be an IAP. If you like Cytus or music games in general I'd say look into it, but the value proposition in comparison to Cytus just isn't there yet.

For music game fans who need a break from touch screen gameplay in favour of ol'fashioned buttons.
