Is anyone needing the Destiny Expansion Pass and the Vanguard Digital Content codes? I got an extra in my limited edition.

First to quote reply gets it. Please only reply if you don't already have it :)

Can I have the Vanguard Digital Content codes, please?

Does anyone know the answer to this:

- my PSN ID is UK, but I have moved to Australia, where I've bought Destiny.

- Can I download the DLC from the UK store, and will it work with the AUS game disc?

(I know the KZ-SF DLC did not work this way).

On another note - I am fucking loving this game - still only up to level 19, but starting to find some real nice rare loot and just did the first story mission on Venus - excellent - love that the Vex are a different type of enemy.

All I need now is the Led Zeppelin song from the live action trailer to kick in when I start a Strike

The pvp lag sometimes is really weird, i'm sure that i'm landing hits with my pistol and it's like they were never touched, one guy showed no sign of hp drop for about 4 rounds as he ran around shooting a shotgun at others, annoying.

I hated the pistol in the beta but I really like and enjoy using it here, that slight buff to hard aiming zoom really helps it feel better.

I'm taking the plunge. It was between this and Diablo 3, decided to get this despite my reservations. My reasoning is that I can get in on this while it's early days, I won't feel like I'm miles behind everyone else, I can get Diablo 3 any time and the experience will be the same. Going to pick up Dark Souls 2 for the PS3 too as I haven't played it yet. I think they will make a good gaming partnership.

Shaders are basically skin packs, it will change the primary and secondary colour scheme of anything you wear to match the shader, example gold, or red and white, or black and blue, so forth.

You can buy some but also find others.

Find others? Like loot? Before Lvl20 maybe?

Titan Mark is so much better than a cape.

Can't agree with that. Having said that if they get more elaborate I could be swayed.

Lol skipped legendary and went to exotic right away :0 guess where I got it from....yup the crucible lol

Yes, but being good is much better.

No, if you send an invite to someone they can always join you if they choose to accept it. If you have a Friends Only fireteam, friends can join your team without an invite. Private is "invites only."

"Public" means anyone can join your fireteam without an invite and is thus the best option. unfortunately it inexplicably fucking resets when you log out, so you have to set this every single time you play.

Thanks for the explanation. You seem to be knowledgeable about this game, so I wonder if you can answer my previous question:

Are fireteam exp shared, or do players with more kills get more exp? And what about treasure chest loots? Also, my friend needs a hand cannon. Every time we go to the gunsmith he isn't selling it. Do we just have to hope he's selling it when we go to the tower? My brother and I got it from a loot drop. We all clock an hour to two every night so we're all low levels here.

Awesome. I hope I will find an exotic soon as well. Although I would probably be happy with more legendary gear as well.

what do you do with all the stuff your collecting ?

Materials are needed to upgrade your equipment. The currencies like the coins can be exchanged for high level items.

Question:
If a story mission is lvl8 and I'm lvl11 do I get gear in that mission matched for my own lvl or the story level?

I hope it's the first but want to make sure.

After having played the Alpha/Betas for this game I wasn't expecting to like this game as much as I am.

Sure, there are several valid complaints about the game, but the base game is very solid. I'm really enjoying myself. I feel like the only way to go is up with this game. I'm excited for the future.

And damn, it's gorgeous on the PS4.

If you want gear that is better or more appropriate for your level you have to increase the difficulty of the mission.

My wife and I can't stay connected to each other's fireteam and now we are booted from the servers completely and can't connect at all... this happened last night too.

Really pissing me off!

Is this happening to anyone else right now???

All loot is random and instanced, doesn't have anything to do with who gets more kills or anything like that. Glimmer is shared among your fireteam. I'm honestly not sure about XP from kills, sorry.

Yeah you'll just want to keep going to the gunsmith and checking, or one will pop as a drop for him. Surprised he hasn't found a single one but I guess I dunno how low level you mean .:)

So I have a noobish question I couldn't find an easy answer for:

When you apply a bond (like Future War Cult), do you still gain Vanguard reputation or is it only applied to the War Cult?

Can someone please explain how gear upgrade slots work?

Lets say I get a new green armor piece and it'll say something like "grenades have further throw" but it's greyed out and I'm not able to upgrade it until later for some glimmer. Does the armor level up as I play and only allow me to upgrade after i get item xp or something?

I'm really not a fan of Control. You have a 50% chance of being supered or rocketed when capping a point. I'll stick to Rumble and TDM.

Asked earlier but want to make sure...is it normal for the PS4 to make a bit of a noise for the first few mins after disc is inserted? Kind of like a whirring but it disappears once I'm in game.

This happens to me for every game. I think it is just the initial boot-up. Then it is mouse fart quiet.

Play smarter and hope there are Titans with the shield around. I tried it with my Titan earlier and capping and defending points with it is super effective.
