Well to be fair I thought this is how all strikes would work.
I mean right now dying or being send back to checkpoint means absolutely nothing.
You never lose anything apart from some time.

oh idk if it has to be ultras but they do drop more than usual I was grinding the spot on the moon and made like 15000 glimmer in like 30 mins, so i didn't waste it on any of the common hive
 
I wrapped up Venus last night. It was without a doubt my favorite planet so far. My first 20 minutes or so on the planet were spent just looking around at the scenery. Parts of that world are just gorgeous. I'm hoping the game manages to finish strong and Mars is just as fun.

It was also nice to see a little story, but at this point it wasn't anywhere near enough to compensate for several hours of garbage. One line in particular stood out to me
"I don't even have time to tell you what I don't have time to tell you."
What the fuck is that? How does Bungie spend so much money on establishing this franchise and put so little effort into the story? It's such a shame because visually this game is amazing, but without a good story to go along with it the experience just feels hollow.

I sincerely hope the PvE side of DLC content isn't limited to just strikes and raids. I'd love to see some public event stuff happen, maybe even a new moon or planet to explore.

I don't know what to think about Destiny. It has so many huge and (imo) indefensible problems yet I'm totally hooked. Currently level 19 and tomorrow I plan on hitting 20, grabbing some better gear, and running the Vanguard playlist for hours.

also, fuck Cabal public event targets that teleport across the map to the finish line when they're almost dead.
 
They need to do something about getting back into a team if you get disconnected

I'm fuckin pissed at this game, wasted 2 run on the Mars Strike, both time i got kicked from the game when the last boss was <10% oh health

God the bosses in this game are still fucking awful. Hoped they'd tune it down after the beta but that House of Devils mission on Earth is fuuuuuuucking traaaaaash. That tank is a jerk off, nobody kills it on the first try and then you spawn back in WITH NO SPECIAL AMMO COOL THANKS and then that bit sphereguy is super lame and takes foooooreeeeever. Got some real furrowed brow buyer's remorse right now.

Happened to me as well. I had to quickly go back to my friends name and enter his Fireteam. Should be an option where if you're disconnected, you get a pop up that allows you to get right back in.

When people are saying they are choosing a faction, what exactly do you mean? How do you pick a faction or pick faction missions?

I've just reached lvl20 so will be starting the endgame now.
 
Really tempted to spend my seven motes of light on an emblem, but I'm gonna save up for a fancy cloak instead.

Once you hit level 20, you can start farming Faction reputation. When you buy a faction item specific for your class &#8211; a cloak, mark or bond, and equip it, that will converts Vanguard rep into Faction of choice Rep. It means that if you do a patrol mission or strike with equipped faction item, you will get Faction Rep instead of Vanguard Rep.

Where can I see list and description of all modifiers for Daily/Weekly Events [Lightswitch, Arc Burn, etc]?

I have no idea if they grant enemies with those powers, of if they are more succeptible to that kind of damage.
 
Anyone done the weekly strike yet?

Holy crap. Grinded all the way to the final boss, got him down to half health and then proceeded to get my ass kicked 5+ times. Ended up quitting
