Does anybody else use the sunsinger class? I like it much more than the voidwalker class. Radiance is just a great super the buffs it gives are just so awesome:

Near Instant Grenade Cool-down (Really big especially with upgraded grenades can throw 3 to 5 grenades through the duration of Radiance)
Higher Armor (I think I actually took 2 Golden Gun shots to kill me when activated)
Faster movement speed
More powerful Melee

lol no

those objectives were simply mission items and had nothing to do with weapons. you just gotta know what to look for and where really. i'm sure a ton of farming videos will be up by the end of the weekend

Well I know this has nothing to do with weapons. In the Beta if you killed a special mission Patrol target you earned 8-12 materials ( the planet specific one) This is gone.

Now you just have to go around and collect them. You only get once per pick up or 2. This pisses my off, because for my Legendary Legs I already need 16 materials of the planet mars. I don't know how they are called in english. relict-iron maybe

Damn, really considering doing the jump and buy a PS4 for this game. I'd buy one anyway sooner or later but there aren't many games that I'm interested coming in the next months. And those that come out, I'd rather buy them for PC :(
I just can't decide what to do lol

Having played Destiny now for three days straight, I wouldn't buy a console just for Destiny, especially if you'll be going PC with the third-parties this year. Sure the mechanics are fantastic and the PvP is the most gripping I've played since Halo (it's the perfect cross between Halo and CoD IMO) but the game also has many faults as other's have mentioned ad nauseam.

Really can't decide on a color.

I just left it standard. Not fond of any of the shades I've gotten yet.

Awesome gif and armour. My personal favourite is the first (gold/yellow/blue).

By the way how do you actually change colours? Who do you go to to buy new colours or get them changed? Do you have to be a certain level?

Anyone want to join up for a fire team? I'm level 3, on earth. Just started playing, will be on for awhile.

PSN: colingt255

20, and it's an equippable item called a shader. The lady in the Speaker's room has some for sale, and you can get two from this list of codes to input on the bungie site...

Double Banshee 7MM-VPD-MHP
Orakel 99 RXC-9XJ-4MH

So...OT3 is coming up soon-ish. Will probably be here early next week.

You guys want me to make the next one? I'll be happy too, but I wanna make sure I'm not hogging the OTs.

You use Shaders. Go to the Outfitter, near New Monarchy and the Speaker at the Tower. You must be at least Level 20.

Ahh yea, I think I remember seeing the option now, but I wasn't a high enough level.

That's weird. I've experienced maybe 7-8 and I'm not even that far in to the game. Don't think you have to be doing Patrol missions mind, just do any mission, story or otherwise. I think you do get them mainly in Patrol missions, but I'm pretty sure ice had them in story too, when we've just been exploring, looking for chests or items, getting to main mission darkness areas etc.

I finished the 'campaign' and hadn't seen one. I just got one on the moon thanks for that suggestion. I just claimed my daily reward and it wasn't even a strange coin :(

And my first two legendaries are for a different class, fuckin great
Bummer. I've been extremely lucky so far, it seems. One exotic auto rifle, one exotic rocket launcher, and tons of incrementally better blues. No purples yet, but I'm feeling good about the slow progress I'm making (plus those two exotics!). Sitting pretty at level 23 right now.

Ouch :(

I seem to have fantastic loot luck with this game; only one item decrypted below level (a green Mark from a blue Engram), and a huge number of ones that go above and beyond. Got my first legendary out of a Blue Engram, and I can use it to boot.

They've got to fix this legendary situation; either up the drop rate through the roof or make sure you only get items you can use, and axe the chance for a below-rarity decrypt. It seems like everyone in this thread is getting screwed over on their legendries.

People earning the high level kit, where are you getting it from? Are you going pvp-heavy?

I just got to level 20 before taking a break so I guess the "real Destiny" is just beginning for me.

After playing the arc blade subclass for a day, I've decided to switch back to golden gun. The use of arc blade (or w/e it's called) is just two limited and is too easily countered by shotguns in PvP. It's nice for taking out hordes of enemies in PvE tho.

Man, having to farm mats like Spinmetal or Relic Iron - which I find super hard to spot amidst the samey looking environment - just to upgrade legendary gear is such a chore and stupid design. Yeah sure, you'll collect these right from the start of the game but instead of telling you right away what exactly this are really useful for, the game opts to wait for hours after hours of leveling, until you get your very first legendary - all the while offering you a completely different and relatively worthless usage of these precious mats.

I think I actually do like the game, or at least I want to because parts of it are excellent (e.g. gunplay, atmosphere, mixing fast paced CoD-style multiplayer madness with loot) but it's stuff like this that make me question whether I really want to keep on investing time in it.

And then, suddenly, while you're doing Patrol mission for lousy Rep gains, the sky darkens. A Puplic Event is just spawning and all the other players on the current map you saw lone wolfing around just moments before, wondering what they're up to, are now all going absolutely crazy, trying to rush as fast as possible to the Event where you then all have a nice little moment together, spamming bullets at a critical hit point, hoping to see yellow numbers pop and a health bar deplete - until that motherfucker of a boss is down and all those players stray off again, back to lone wolfing, doing whatever it is they were doing. But not before you spot that loot chest right next to that bosses' dead body with a rare spaceship engram inside of it - as it just happened to me.

In moments like this, Destiny is fucking awesome.

Congrats! I was eyeing them earlier.

How are you getting so many strange coins if you don't mind my asking?

Well I got "lucky" and a legendary class item engram decrypted as 3 strange coins, which I must preferred as I am already wearing a faction class item anyway.

I'd say most people have around 6-7 now if they've done the weekly strike.

PvP drops seem to be more consistent than PvE drops, as far as Legendaries go.

Huh, okay.

How can some of you level up so quickly? Don't you people sleep at least? :P

It took me like 10+ hours of gaming just to get to Level 12/13. But I don't mind. I did most missions on Earth, The Moon and the beginning of Venus on Hard, from the beginning, intentionally choosing ones where I was under leveled, just because it's much more fun to me. Else it's just too easy.

Earlier I did just 3-4 games of Crucible wondering how my cousin was so much higher in level to me, and leveled up almost twice (with the help of the completed bounties they net me). Seems it's much easier and quicker to level up in Crucible, but I think it people do, the PvP stuff maybe less fun for them as it'll be too easy.

I finally unlocked Blink for my warlock and that shit is hilarious in PvP. I already play like a total idiot with the shotgun but people have NO IDEA how to track that or where you go, I get away with so much ridiculous bullshit by getting behind or above people and doing the ole' 1-2 punch.

Holy shit, some of these strikes are awful. Bosses are tedious more than anything. Two Strikes in particular, one being the Summoning Pits on the Moon are just Bullet Sponge: The Game.
